  I have a table like so: mysql> show create table foo; CREATE TABLE foo ( network bigint NOT NULL, activeDate datetime NULL default '0000-00-00 00:00:00', ... ) In the domain object, FooVO the activeDate member is annotated as Temporal. If I don't set activeDate to a valid Date instance, a new record is inserted with NULLs. I want the default value to take effect if I don't set the activeDate member. Thanks.

  Hi all, Generally, i was wondering if there was any exceptions of types that cant have thier assignment operator overloaded. Specifically, I'm wanting to overload the assignment operator of a tm struct, (time.h) so i can assign a sql::ResultSet to it.   Hi, I'm writing an embedded ftp server, and I cannot get the listing format correctly. The server works completely, only programs like FileZilla cannot interpret the listing format.   Long story short, I have a struct (see below) that contains exactly one field: private int value; I've also implemented implicit conversion operators: public static implicit operator int(Outlet val) { return val.value; } public static implicit operator Outlet(int val) { return new Outlet(val); } I've implemented all of the following : IComparable, IComparable<Cart>, IComparable<int>, IConvertible, IEquatable<Cart>, IEquatable<int>, IFormattable I'm at a point where I really have no clue why, but whenever I serialize this object, I get no value. For instance, with XmlSerialization: <Outlet /> Also, I'm not solely concerned about XmlSerialization, I'm concerned about ALL serialization (binary for instance) How can I ensure that this serializes properly? NOTE: I did this because mapping an int,int dictionary seemed rather poorly typed to me when explicit objects with validation behavior were desired.

  I have a Telerik RadDatePicker, which I am binding to the SelectedDate property. I want this control to show a validation error when the default date set in the control is removed/deleted. I was able to achieve this, but the problem was that the validation error occurs only when Enter is pressed or when we click outside the control. Is there a way tell RadDatePicker to update the source without moving the focus? (Tried UpdateSourceTrigger=PropertyChanged, but still it wasnt working)

• rewritten mysql query returning unexpected results, trying to figure out why

  I created a messy query in a hurry a while ago to get a list of product codes. I am now trying to clean up my tables and my code. I recently tried to rewrite the query in order for it to be easier to use and understand. The original query works great, but it requires multiple search strings in order to do one search because it uses UNIONS, and it has a few other issues. My newly modified query is easier to understand, and only requires one search string, but is returning different results. Basically the new query is leaving records out, and I would like to understand why, and how to fix it. • C++ HTML template framework, templatizing library, HTML generator library

  I am looking for template/generator libraries for C++ that are similar to eg. Ruby's Erb, Haml, PHP's Smarty, etc. It would be great if I it would sport some basic features like loops, if/else, int conversion to strings, etc. Parameter passing to template rendering engine is also important if I could pass all of them in a hash map instead of calling some function for each of parameters. Do you have any recommendations? I can see also the possibility of embedding languages like Lua, however I haven't found a templatizing library for that either. Thanks!

  Hello, I have a datetime.datetime property var. I would like to know if it is less than one hour of the current time. Something like var.hour<datetime.datetime.today().hour - 1 Problem with the above syntax is that datetime.datetime.today().hour returns a number such as "10" and it is not really a date comparation but more of a numbers comparation.
