    Hi, My idea is put NGINX as proxy to redirect to Varnish (cache static content) and then proxy to apache with a lot of VirtualHost in different IPs. My problems is that I would know how can configure Varnish to send access to correct IP, I am going explain: NGINX: Listen in: 10.10.10.10, 20.20.20.20 and 30.30.30.30 on ports: 80 and 443 Proxy redirect to Varnish 10.10.10.10:8080, 20.20.20.20:8080 and 30.30.30.30:8080 Varnish: Port: 8080 - THIS IS THE PROBLEM Proxy content not static to Apache on port 8000 - THIS IS THE OTHER PROBLEM Apache2: Listen in: 10.10.10.10:8000, 20.20.20.20:8000 and 30.30.30.30:8000 Response correct VirtualHost This is the idea. When I try with one IP only, all work correctly, because Varnish is only listen in one IP and port and send to backend in one IP and port too. Could you help me to configure Varnish or there is a best way to configure similar scenario please?

  • Linux policy routing - packets not coming back

    i am trying to set up policy routing on my home server. My network looks like this: Host routed VPN gateway Internet link through VPN 192.168.0.35/24 ---> 192.168.0.5/24 ---> 192.168.0.1 DSL router 10.200.2.235/22 .... .... 10.200.0.1 VPN server The traffic from 192.168.0.32/27 should be and is routed through VPN. I wanted to define some routing policies to route some traffic from 192.168.0.5 through VPN as well - for start - from user with uid 2000. Policy routing is done using iptables mark target and ip rule fwmark. The problem: When connecting using user 2000 from 192.168.0.5 tcpdump shows outgoing packets, but nothing comes back. Traffic from 192.168.0.35 works fine (here I am not using fwmark but src policy).     Hey guys, My fist question here on Stackoverflow: What should I need to do so that the SSH SOCKS 5 Proxy (SSH2) will allow multiple connections? What I have noticed, is that when I load a page in Firefox (already configured to use the SOCKS 5 proxy), it loads everything one by one. It can be perceived by bare eyes, and I also confirm that through the use of Firebug's NET tab, which logs the connections that have been made. I have already configure some of the directives in the about:config page, like pipeline, persistent proxy connections, and a few other things. But I still get this kind of sequential load of resources, which is noticeably very slow. network.http.pipelining;true network.http.pipelining.maxrequests;8 network.http.pipelining.ssl;true network.http.proxy.pipelining;true network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-proxy;100 network.proxy.socks_remote_dns;true My ISP sucks because during the day, it intentionally breaks connections on a random basis. And so, it is impossible to actually accomplish meaningful works without the need of a lot of browser refresh or hitting F5 key. So, that is why I started to find solutions to this. The SSH's dynamic port forwarding is the best solution I find to date, because it has some pretty good compression which saves a lot of useless traffic, and is also secure. The only thing remaining is to get it to have multiple connections running in it. Thanks for all the inputs.

    Is it possible to create another audio device and redirect only wanted input streams to it? Here's my concrete problem: I am broadcasting a game via XFire and it uses the Windows audio device to capture any audio I receive. As I am broadcasting, other users who watch the video stream are communicating with me over Skype, and they hear themselves back within the video stream and it is entirely logical since I am broadcasting the audio I hear. What I want to do is create another audio device within Windows and redirect (pipe) ONLY the audio input from that game and not the input reveived from Skype. I would then tell XFire to use that newly created "virtual" audio device to broadcast and therefore my partners won't hear themselves back. Is there any software that can do that or can it be achieved natively with Windows? (I am under Windows 7).

I need to bypass cache when the query string is empty. I am a bit lost because location /foobar will match both.

  • How do I get nginx to issue 301 requests to HTTPS location, when SSL handled by a load-balancer?

    I've noticed that there's functionality enabled in nginx by default, whereby a url request without a trailing slash for a directory which exists in the filesystem automatically has a slash added through a 301 redirect. E.g. if the directory css exists within my root, then requesting http://example.com/css will result in a 301 to http://example.com/css/. However, I have another site where the SSL is offloaded by a load-balancer. In this case, when I request https://example.com/css, nginx issues a 301 redirect to http://example.com/css/, despite the fact that the HTTP_X_FORWARDED_PROTO header is set to https by the load balancer. Is this an nginx bug? Or a config setting I've missed somewhere?

  • How to implement properly plugins in C#?

    I'm trying to add plugins to my game and what I'm trying to implement is this: Plugins will be either mine or 3rd party's so I would like a solution where crashing of the plugin would not mean crashing of the main application. Methods of plugins are called very often (for example because of drawing of game objects). What I've found so far: 1) http://www.codeproject.com/KB/cs/pluginsincsharp.aspx - simple concept that seems like it should work nicely. Since plugins are used in my game for every round I would suffice to add the Restart() method and if a plugin is no longer needed Unload() method + GC should take care of that. 2) http://mef.codeplex.com/Wikipage - Managed Extensibility Framework - my program should work on .NET 3.5 and I don't want to add any other framework separately I want to write my plugin system myself. Therefore this solution is out of question. 3) Microsoft provides: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.addin.aspx but according to a few articles I've read it is very complex. 4) Different AppDomains for plugins. According to Marc Gravell ( http://stackoverflow.com/questions/665668/usage-of-appdomain-in-c ) different AppDomains allow isolation. Unloading of plugins would be easy. What would the performance load be? I need to call methods of plugins very often (to draw objects for example). Using Application Domains - http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/yb506139.aspx A few tutorials on java2s.com Could you please comment on my findings? New approaches are also welcomed! Thanks!

  • How to access Java servlet running on my PC from outside ?

    I used Netbeans6.7 to write a servlet, when it runs, it opens a browser window with this address : http://localhost:8080/My_App/Test_Servlet, I replaced the "localhost" with my IP address, now it looks like this : http://192.???.1.??:8080/My_App/Test_Servlet, but I tried to access it from another computer outside my home, it can't read anything, I wonder if I need to change Windows Fire Wall setting to allow outside traffic, it's a Paypal IPN app, so I call Paypal, they said they can't access : http://192.???.1.??:8080/My_App/Test_Servlet What on my side should I do to allow traffic from "paypal.com" to access "My_App/Test_Servlet" ?   • Apache, modifying response codes from 404 to 301

    Hi, I'm running a magento installation on an apache server. There are many pages indexed in both google and linked to from external sites. I can't use 301 redirects in a .htaccess file as I can't be sure I will catch all the links. At the moment all requests are rewritten through magento and if a request isn't found magento returns a 404 File not Found. Is there a way of using one of the apache modules to filter the response* from magento and if a 404 Not Found is being sent back then replace the response with a standard 301 Redirect to the home page? E.g. Request to Magento -- Apache -- Rewrite to Magento index.php page -- page processed. Response if request exists -- return results (200) if request doesn't exist -- return 404 -- apache filter change response -- return 301 redirect to / I appreciate any help. Thanks, Jon as far as I am aware mod_rewrite is only used to rewrite requests and doesn't allow the modification of responses.

    I'm trying to find out what data/error jquery's .load() method is returning in the following code (the #content element is blank so I assume there is some kind of error). Where do I find in Firebug what content or error .load() is returning?
