  I've created a very simple "Enterprise Application" project with about 7 entity beans and one stateless session bean. I've also configured an instance of Glassfish v3 to run as my application server. • Incorrect Coordinates From getLocationOnScreen/getLocationInWindow

  A call to getLocationOnScreen() or getLocationInWindow() both give me a top/Y coordinate that is about ~30px (status/notifications bar's height) too far down. The left/X coordinate is dead on. As I hinted above, I believe the difference is because of the status/notification bar... I could be wrong. I think I can solve this if I can determine the size of the notification bar but, I'm having trouble doing just that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

• Using maven-release-plugin to tag and commit to non-origin

  When I do a release of my project, I want to share the source with a wider group of people than I normally do during development. The code is shared via a Git repository. To do this, I have used the following: remote public repository - released code is pushed here, every week or so (http://example.com/public) remote private repository - non-release code is pushed here, more than daily (http://example.com/private) In my local git repository, I have the following remotes defined: origin http://example.com/private public http://example.com/public I am currently trying to configure the maven-release-plugin to manage versioning of the builds, and to manage tagging and pushing of code to the public repository. In my pom.xml, I have listed the <scm/ as follows: <scm><connection>scm:git:http://example.com/public</connection></scm> (Removing this line will cause mvn release:prepare to fail) However, when calling mvn release:clean release:prepare release:perform Maven calls git push origin tagname rather than pushing to the URL specified in the POM. So the questions are: Best practice: Should I just be tagging and committing in my private repo (origin), and pushing to public manually? Can I make Maven push to the repository that I choose, rather than defaulting to origin? I felt this was implied by the requirement of the <connection/ element in <scm/.

I am unsure if it is a favicon issue as my upload page uses an insert query and it executes once. My hope is that this might provide a foundation on which community members with better ideas for performing this function, or ideas for enhancing it, can update it.   I'd read that when renaming files in git, you should commit any changes, perform your rename and then stage your renamed file. Git will recognise the file from the contents, rather than seeing it as a new untracked file, and keep the change history.   I'm trying to implement an RSS Feeder in python using PyRSS2Gen and it created an XML file. Now in jQuery I'm using Google Ajax API's RSS reader and trying to read it. I get an error saying something is wrong. I'm unable to figure out the issue. I've checked some documentation but not able to get it.   Hello I am running my django project from subfolder of a website. Lets say the address where my project is meant to open from is. http://example.com/myproject/ the myproject folder is root folder for my user account. In that folder i have fcgi script that starts my project. The .htaccess file in the folder contains this: RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteRule ^(.*)$ mysite.fcgi/$1 [QSA,L] The trouble is, that at some cases, instead of redireting user to page like http://example.com/myproject/social/someurl/ it redirects to http://example.com/social/someurl/ which does not work. What i want to know is how to fix this problem. Is this django problem and i should change it with urconf and add myproject to all urls, or should i do this with .htaccess?   I am having an issue embedding my report into an aspx page. Here's my setup: 1 Server running SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services 1 Workstation running XP and VS 2005 The server is not on a domain. Reporting Services is a default installation. I have one report called TestMe in a folder called TestReports using a shared datasource. If I view the report in Report Manager, it renders fine. If I view the report using the http ://myserver/reportserver url it renders fine. If I view the report using the http ://myserver/reportserver?/TestReports/TestMe it renders fine. If I try to view the report using http ://myserver/reportserver/TestReports/TestMe, it just goes to the folder navigation page of the home directory. My web application is impersonating somebody specific to get around the server not being on a domain. When I call the report from the report viewer using http ://myserver/reportserver as the server and /TestReports/TestMe as the path I get this error: For security reasons DTD is prohibited in this XML document. To enable DTD processing set the ProhibitDtd property on XmlReaderSettings to false and pass the settings into XmlReader.Create method. When I change the server to http ://myserver/reportserver? I get this error when I run the report: Client found response content type of '', but expected 'text/xml'. The request failed with an empty response. I have been searching for a while and haven't found anything that fixes my issue. Please let me know if there is more information needed. Thanks in advance, Kendra

  Can someone confirm or clarify for me: From what I can tell, JEE web apps consist of a Servlet and/or JSP driven dynamic web page being fed back in the HTTP response, triggered by the JEE server receiving a HTTP GET or POST request. From what I can tell, JEE web services also make use of Servlets as the web tier components, however a WS Servlet receives a SOAP message and validates the contents of those messages with whatever WSDL the Servlet is WARed with. The response is also packaged in SOAP and sent back to the requestor. So, from what I can tell, both JEE web apps and WSes use Servlets as the web components, with the only real difference being the protocol used (raw HTTP vs SOAP, which is an extension of HTTP). This is the best I could come up with - am I right? Totally wrong? Close?
