  • I need an IDE for typo3 core development in php

    Php in itself is difficult for IDEs because of the dynamic nature of the language. My current development environment is mostly netbeans against a local svn copy of the codebase setup in a local development webserver. The code is full text indexed by vistas search engine for almost instant searches. I do a lot of development directly against the main development server using a combination of tools. Putty to interact with the server and deploy by updating an svn checkout on the development server. Tortoise SVN locally to have a fairly rich SVN experience. Netbeans obviously have SVN integration. Most of the changes on the remote server is commited using the putty session. WinSCP to interact with the development server with norton commander like interface as well as the good putty integration. Finally my text editor for remote editing is notepad++ out of habit and because of some nice features and good price. What I'm really missing is good php editing. Because of the way typo3 works almost all objects are instanciated through make instance abstraction that either returns the base class or the customized class if the framework has been extended. I'm not looking for a magic editing package and would like to find an editor which can use annotations to specify the type of commonly used variables.

  • c++ connect() keeps returning WSATIMEDOUT over internet but not localy

WSATIMEDOUT is always returned (not connection refused, so its not a port problem).     I have an ASP.NET MVC project that works fine on my local machine (no build errors, server errors or anything). However, when I publish the project to a test server, I get an "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" error on a For Each I have in my view. I have a function within a model that returns a DataRowCollection. I'm calling that function in my controller and passing the DataRowCollection to my View, which then iterates over the rows and displays the necessary information: In the Controller I have: Function Index() As ActionResult Dim MyModel As New Model ViewData("MyDataRowCollection") = MyModel.GetDataRowCollection() Return View() End Function And then in the View, which is throwing the error: <%@ Page Language="VB" MasterPageFile="~/Views/Shared/Site.Master" Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewPage" %> <asp:Content ID="indexTitle" ContentPlaceHolderID="TitleContent" runat="server"> My Page Title </asp:Content> <asp:Content ID="indexContent" ContentPlaceHolderID="MainContent" runat="server"> <% For Each MyDataRow In ViewData("MyDataRowCollection") ' do stuff with each MyDataRow Next %> I'm pretty new to ASP.NET MVC so I'm sure there might be a better way to do what I'm doing (I'd be happy to hear if there is), but my main concern is why this works fine on my local machine but throws an error on the For Each on the test server? I'm working on an app that would display a remote html and use local images, so what I'm trying to do is download the HTML of the website and display it as a "local" page, that would have access to images in my bundle. For some reason I can't get initWithContentsOfURL to work. I checked all manuals and examples I could find and it seems that I'm doing it correctly, but the thing just won't work, returns null all the time. The same page loaded with NSURLRequest requestWithURL works fine. Appreciate your help!   • Facebook Graph API - Get like count on page/group photos

    I've been testing graph API and ran into a problem. How can I get like count from photos of a page/group? I'm administrator/creator of a group. When entering in https://developers.facebook.com/tools/explorer/ certain photo ID from that group it brings almost all data, even comments, but not the like count. For like part it needs (according to docs) access token despite the fact that anyone can access that info. How to get access token of my page/group with required permissions and how to use it to get info I need? If possible I would like to get JSON from a single address if it is possible.

  • Unable to debug ASP.NET Applicatation using VS 2008 on IIS 7 running on Windows 7 x64

    Hi, I've been trying to debug an existing asp.net web application that requires me to debug against an IIS website. I've installed the app and can navigate to it on localhost. However, when I start VS 2008 as an Administrator and try to debug it, I get a message "Unable to start debugging on the web server. The IIS worker process for the launched URL is not currently running." I've looked through some of the help file contents and can't seem to figure out what is going on. Clearly, the IIS worker process IS running, since I can navigate to the site locally without VS open. My boss has suggested that it might be because my OS is 64 bit. Any ideas?

  • Computer Invisible On Domain

    Good afternoon, I'm sorry that this isn't a programming question specifically, but stackoverflow has been great at answering questions in the past, so I thought I'd give it a shot. One of our Linux users attempted to install Cygwin on our Windows Server 2008 Domain Controller. Now it is no longer possible to browse the domain and see all of the computers. For example, \\my_domain_name will just bring up a username/password dialog box (that will not accept any username or password, even the domain administrator) and no computers will ever be listed. However, I can still connect to computers based on their name or IP address. So \\eridanus or \\192.168.1.85 still work to connect to the shared directories of computers on our network. Does anyone know where I can find these settings? and how I can fix this problem? Thanks, Giawa

  • App crashes frequently at time when UIActionSheet would be presented

    I am getting the following error intermittently when a call is made to display an action sheet. Assertion failure in -[UIActionSheet showInView:] Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInternalInconsistencyException', reason: 'Invalid parameter not satisfying: view != nil' Now in this case I've not changed screens. The UIActionSheet is presented when a local notification is fired and I have an observer call a local method on this view as such: I have the property marked as strong. When the action sheet is dismissed I also set it to nil. I am using a story board for the UI. It's fairly repeatable to crash it, perhaps less than 5 tries. (Thankfully I have that going for me). Any suggestions what to try next? I'm really pulling my hair out on this one. Most of the issues I've seen on this topic are pointing to the crash occurring once the selection is made. In my case it's at presentation and intermittently. Also for what it's worth, this particular view is several stacks deep in an embedded navigation controller. Hometableviewdetail selectviewController in question. This same issue occurs so far in testing on iOS 5.1 and iOS 6.   • Why does this VBS scheduled task (to call a URL) not work in Windows Server 2008?

    This same script worked in older server OS environments, and even on my desktop; and allows me to kick off a nightly process on my website's URL. It simply will not execute the URL in my Windows Server 2008 environment. It does not generate any errors, claiming task completion I can pull the same URL up just fine in the server's web browser I have the script running with "highest privileges" I even tried to create a batch file which executes it, so I can explicitly "Run as Administrator" and it still will not execute the URL (but will not generate any errors either).     I have an old c++ application that needs to be modified to work with windows 7. Problem is in creating a new folder and saving a file in that folder. This folder should be created in c:\program files\myApp\data\newFolder. If I run application as administrator than the folder is created, otherwise "Access is denied" error is thrown. My question is following: Is there an option to make changes to the code so that the folder can be created in "program files" nad that files can be saved in this folder?     I have two computers that share the same Internet IP address. Using one of the computers, I can remotely connect to a SQL Server database on the other. Here is my connection string: SqlConnection connection = new SqlConnection(@"Data Source=192.168.1.101\SQLEXPRESSNI,1433;Network Library=DBMSSOCN;Initial Catalog=FirstDB;Persist Security Info=True;User ID=username;Password=password;"); 192.168.1.101 is the server, SQLEXPRESSNI is the SQL Server instance name, and FirstDB is the name of the database. Now, I have another computer with a different Internet IP address. I want to connect to the server above using the third computer that does not belong to my local area network. I dont have access to that third computer at the moment, so I want to use (if possible) the client computer in LAN again. SqlConnection connection = new SqlConnection(@"Data Source=SharedInternetIP\SQLEXPRESSNI,1433;Network Library=DBMSSOCN;Initial Catalog=FirstDB;Persist Security Info=True;User ID=username;Password=password;"); Does not work Note that I am a beginner, so I am not quite sure what I am doing even though I know what I want to do. By passing the Internet IP to the SqlConnection object rather than the local IP address, how can I successfully connect to the server computer, using the client computer in the same network? Also note that my ultimate goal is to connect to the server with an external client, but I don't have access to that computer right now. I'd appreciate any help.

  • Looking for resources to explain a security risk.

    I've a developer which has given users the ability to download a zip archive which contains an html document which references a relative javascript file and flash document. The flash document accepts as one of it's parameters a url which is embedded in the html document. I believe that this archive is meant to be used as a means to transfer an advertisement to someone who would use the source to display the ad on their site, however the end user appears to want to view it locally. When one opens the html document the flash document is presented and when the user clicks on the flash document it redirects to this embedded url. However, if one extracts the archive on the desktop and opens the html document in a browser and clicks the flash object, nothing observable happens, they will not be redirected to the external url. I believe this is a security risk because one is transferring from the local computer zone to an external zone. I'm trying to determine the best way to explain this security risk in the simplest of terms to a very end user. They simply believe it's "broken" when it's not broken, they're being protected from a known vulnerability. The developer attempted to explain how to copy the files to a local iis instance, which I highly doubt is running on the users machine, and I do not consider this to be a viable explanation.

  • How to use RewriteBase in .htaccess to rewrite img tags?

    I guess I don't understand RewriteBase. I have a (drupal) site built on my dev server and everything works perfectly. I created a fake URL for it in my own apache and hosts file, so I get to my local version with "local-examplesite.com". Eventually it will live at www.examplesite.com, but I want to put up a draft with a temp URL at my hosting company like so: 123.45.67.89/~examplesite . I set the RewriteBase in .htaccess to /~examplesite . All the pages work fine, and all the navigation links go to the right places. But none of my images work! They are of the format src="/sites/default/images/blah.png", and so the tags are getting rendered as src="http://123.45.67.89/sites/default/images/blah.png", instead of src="http://123.45.67.89/~examplesite/sites/default/images/blah.png". Is there any way I can get the site to point to right images? I thought that's what rewritebase was for, but after reading up a bit I guess it is for URLs only (the ones that get rewritten, natch).

Postscript This script is really awful, but has the redeeming quality that it Works On My Systems. Note that several mount points may be prefixes of $path. Answer It looks like munging tabular output is the only way within the shell, but df /dev/fd/impossible | tail -1 | awk '{ print $NF}' is a big improvement on what I had. Note two differences in semantics: firstly, df $path insists that $path names an existing file, the script I had above doesn't care; secondly, there are no worries about dereferncing symlinks. It's not difficult to write Python code to do the job.

    Whenever someone asks a legal question here on SO, the response is usually something along the lines of "we are not lawyers." Okay, that's legitimate, but in that case, how can I talk to a lawyer about software-related legal matters? I could look through the phone book and find a local lawyer, but then I have no way of knowing whether the lawyer knows anything about software. (And I hear most local lawyers charge for your time, even if it's just a simple question.) Is there maybe some kind of online service for this sort of thing? For now, I'm just looking for some basic advice, so something free would be awesome, even if the "quality" is not as good. However, I'll still take any kind of paid services--I'll keep them in mind for the future. You can give me anything from a forum or QA site (like this one) to a professional service. Just remember that I'm looking specifically for software-related legal advice. I'm sure most lawyers know a thing or two about software, but I'd rather talk to someone who legitimately knows his stuff than someone who can only guess.

    Hi All, I'm working in Ubuntu with MySql and I also have Query Browser and Administrator installed, I'm not afraid of the command line either if it helps. I want simply to be able to run a query and see a result set but then convert that result set into a series of commands that could be used to create the same rows in a table of an identical schema. I hope the question makes sense, it's quite a simple problem and one that must have been solved but I can't for the life of me work out where this kind of conversion is made available.   • efficient sort with custom comparison, but no callback function

    I have a need for an efficient sort that doesn't have a callback, but is as customizable as using qsort(). What I want is for it to work like an iterator, where it continuously calls into the sort API in a loop until it is done, doing the comparison in the loop rather than off in a callback function. This way the custom comparison is local to the calling function (and therefore has access to local variables, is potentially more efficient, etc). I have implemented this for an inefficient selection sort, but need it to be efficient, so prefer a quick sort derivative. Has anyone done anything like this? I tried to do it for quick sort, but trying to turn the algorithm inside out hurt my brain too much. Below is how it might look in use. // the array of data we are sorting MyData array[5000], *firstP, *secondP; // (assume data is filled in) Sorter sorter; // initialize sorter int result = sortInit (&sorter, array, 5000, (void **)&firstP, (void **)&secondP, sizeof(MyData)); // loop until complete while (sortIteration (&sorter, result) == 0) { // here's where we do the custom comparison...here we // just sort by member "value" but we could do anything result = firstP->value - secondP->value; }

  • Client to access and edit a MySQL database remotely

    Hey guys, So I have been given the host, username, and login information for a MySQL Database. I need a client that I can use to log in to the Database remotely and create/update tables and edit all the data. I found the MySQL Administrator client provided by them, but it seems you can do everything BUT edit the actual data with it. Is there anything like this? Would I be able to use SQL Server Express (or something similar), to connect to a remote server online and do all of this?

  • Deploying plugins for Internet Explorer

    Hi everybody. I'm looking for a way to deploy an Internet Explorer plugin for SVG-rendering without manually installing it on every client machine. Is there a way to use some ActiveX voodoo stuff to automatically install a plugin? I have no reliable information about the IE versions that are used on the client side so I assume the worst: IE6. To make things even harder, the users probably don't have administrator privileges on the client machines. The whole thing happens in an enclosed local network, so security considerations are entirely secondary. It also does not really matter which actual plugin it will be, anything that can render SVG and run Javascript on it will do just fine. I can't think of anything to make this work so I'm desperate for help here...
