• loading crystal report in windows xp

  I have prepared a wpf application using visual studio 2010 in windows 7 which includes crystal report viewer. I tried to run the application on another windows 7 pc with CR runtime installed, it worked properly. I tried the same thing with windows xp but everytime the crystal report loads it gives an unhandled exception and the whole app stops working and closes. what to do in this case? or give me some suggestions how to make work with window-XP

• Should I merge .pbxproj files with git using merge=union?

  I'm wondering whether the merge=union option in .gitattributes makes sense for .pbxproj files. The manpage states for this option: Run 3-way file level merge for text files, but take lines from both versions, instead of leaving conflict markers. This tends to leave the added lines in the resulting file in random order and the user should verify the result. Normally, this should be fine for the 90% case of adding files to the project. Does anybody have experience with this?

For example server=foo;database=bar;uid=foo;pwd=bar I'd like something to return "database=bar;" using the 'database' key to identify it, ideally it would be case insensitive. I can do this using normal code, but I think that this is exactly the sort of thing for which regular expressions were designed.

  Faced problem while setting background color for any element in Visual Studio 2010 editor. Selection color doesn't override this background color. So then it's very inconvenient to work with selections in editor. Case when only string literal is selected it's almost impossible to distinguish colors and see what part of string is selected. By default I use IsExpanded of TreeViewItem to true. But in a particular case, I want to set IsExpanded property to false. So that treeview loading doesn't take time to generate all items. How can I set that in code since I don't have reference to TreeViewItem's instance at that time?
