  • ASP.NET MVC 2 JSONP with MVC Futures

    I´m using mvc futures 2 with WebApiEnabled for XML and JSON support. But due to cross domain issues with jQuery $.ajax I´m lookin in to JSONP. Is there a simple way to extend futures rest function for JSONP or should I do something else. Do anyone have some hints on this subject ?

I have master table of People who will register, lecture table, and Important one table is attendance that stores P.k. as f.k. of rest of the table. My problem It show only one page for attendance entry and that page can also open open in EDIT mode, for editing attendance. If I remove the custom route, it calls my function, but what I want to be displayed in the address bar is: localhost:xxxx/Wizard/1 where the number at the end is the page (div shown) of the wizard either 1, 2, 3, or 4. So is there something I'm missing or can it not be done? Thanks.

I have a controller setup to handle the query, and it returns the json that looks to be in order, but I am getting no suggestions showing up. But I get no joy at all. Any thoughts?

    Here's what I have. User enters values into text boxes (personal information etc.) and then presses a save changes button. The values in these text boxes get stored in an SQL database. The problem I have is that when updating the database using the values from the text boxes, the page refreshes and the values in the text boxes are lost (or rather they return to the values that are already in the database as the data from the database is loaded into the text boxes on Page_Load). When I update the database using valuse stored in variables it all works fine. What is the best way to update with the values from the text boxes?

    I have an existing site that I'd like to convert to use routing, and after reading Scott Guthrie's post here, I built a working sample that works for most circumstances. However, since not all of the pages on the existing site match a particular pattern, I'll need to check against a database to determine which route (destination .aspx page) to use. For example, most pages are like this: http://www.mysite.com/people/person.html This is fine - I can easily route these to the view_person.aspx page because of the 'people' directory. But some pages are like this: http://www.mysite.com/category_page.html http://www.mysite.com/product_page.html This necessitates checking the database to see whether to route to the view_category.aspx page or the view_product.aspx page. And this is where I'm stuck. Do I create an IRouteHandler that checks the database and returns the route? Or is there a better way? The only code I've found that kind of fits is the answer to this question. Thanks in advance.

    i have a repeater inside a dynamic control, i am trying to get the items of the repeater in a postback prior to databinding. this seems to work when i have a static repeater where the items are still intact, but when my repeater is inside a dynamic control and i try to get "repeater.Items", the count is always 0. is this normal behavior for repeaters when being placed inside a dynamic control?
