  • How do I change the root directory of an apache server?

    Does anyone know how to change the document root of the Apache server? I basically want localhost to come from /users/spencer/projects directory instead of /var/www. Edit I ended up figuring it out. Some suggested I change the httpd.conf file, but I ended up finding a file in /etc/apache2/sites-available/default and changed the root directory from /var/www to /home/myusername/projects_folder and that worked.

  • Reusing xalan transformer causing its extension functions break

    I am using xalan 2.7.1 to validate my xml docs with xslt style sheet. It works fine for the first document and returns error message in case of error along with correct line and column number of xml source by making use of NodeInfo.lineNumber and NodeInfo.columnNumber extensions. The problem is when I try to reuse transformer to validate other xml docs, it successfully transforms the document but always returns lineNumber=columnNumber=-1 for all errors. Any idea? In use, if i mouseover "Three", the dropdown stays out forever. if i mouseover "A", dropdown will stay out forever, but if I mouseover "B" or anything lower, the menu will close on me. if you uncomment "// alert(timeout);" it gets there for B, (and A) but timeout will have a value. why is this? i thought clearTimeout would null the timeout variable?

    Hi,i have a small problem i have xome xml with a cdata section. This CDATA section contains fragments of HTMl. I would like to extract some of the data inside this CDATA element. Right now i have a XSLT transformation that outputs the rest of the document as HTMl, but i need only a small part of the CDATA HTML, not the entire part - e.g. a my Title tag. How to do this?

  • Silverlight file download for COM Interop

    Is the following possible in Silverlight when a button is clicked? An Excel template is downloaded from a remote server and saved to the local machine An instance of the template is then opened on the client A macro is then executed within the new Excel document I can do everything apart from saving the template to the local machine. I can save this in isolated storage but then I don’t know where this is when trying to open it from the Excel COM interop code. Has anyone any ideas or is this not possible?

But I need "table" property to specify indexes. What's going on here? I'm almost driven crazy!

    Hi, I'm a relative novice to regular expressions (although I've used them many times successfully). I want to find all links in a document that do not end in ".html" The regular expression I came up with is: href=\"([^"]*)(?<!html)\" In Notepad++, my editor, href=\"([^"]*)\" finds all the links (both those that end in "html" and those that do not). Why doesn't negative lookbehind work? I've also tried lookahead: href=\"[^"]*(?!html\") but that didn't work either. Can anybody help? Cheers, grovel

For example, if $fileText was a pdf, how would I open it, from Sqlite, as a pdf?
