• Do minidump files contain the timestamp of the crash?

  The MiscInfoStream in a minidump file contains the process create time. I'd like to find out how long the process has been running for before the crash. Does a minidump file contain the exception timestamp anywhere? WinDbg on this dump file displays the following, which implies that it's in there somewhere... Debug session time: Tue Dec 29 15:49:20.000 2009 (GMT+0) System Uptime: not available Process Uptime: 0 days 0:33:03.000 Note that today's Mar 15, so this is almost certainly the timestamp of the crash. I'd like a programmatic way to retrieve that value and the "Process Uptime" value. I found the MINIDUMP_MISC_INFO_3 structure, which contains some timezone information, but it doesn't seem to contain the exception time.

• Having trouble with event creation using the events.create API with the iPhone SDK

  I'm using the FBConnect library in my iPhone app, and I'm trying to create Facebook events. After getting a valid session and verifying permissions, I'm using events.create and getting what looks like a valid event ID back from FB in a success response. Oddly the event isn't showing up on my account's Events page either in current or in past events. I thought the problem might be that the event might not include me as an attendee so I followed the successful events.create call with an events.rsvp call to set my status to "attending". That also gets back success from FB, but I'm still not seeing anything show up. Am I missing a step? Is there something other than Create and then RSVP that I need to do, or is there an error with the api/Facebook? I don't think I'm missing any of the required fields for event creation (name and start_time) and I am populating a lot of the other fields in event_info...

• PHP calling PostgreSQL function - type issue?

  I have a function in PostgreSQL / plpgsql with the following signature: CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION user_login(TEXT, TEXT) RETURNS SETOF _get_session AS $$ ... $$ Where _get_session is a view. The function works fine when calling it from phpPgAdmin, however whan I call it from PHP I get the following error: Warning: pg_query() [function.pg-query]: Query failed: ERROR: type "session_ids" does not exist CONTEXT: compile of PL/pgSQL function "user_login" near line 2 in /home/sites/blah.com/index.php on line 69 The DECLARE section of the function contains the following variables: oldSessionId session_ids := $1; newSessionId session_ids := $2; The domain session_ids DOES exist, and other functions which use the same domain work when called from the same script. The PHP is as follows: $query = "SELECT * FROM $dbschema.user_login('$session_old'::TEXT, '$session'::TEXT)"; $result = pg_query($login, $query); I have also tried this using ::session_ids in place of ::TEXT when calling the function, however I recieve the same error. Help :o(

• Shark tool on iphone crashes

  Hi, I am trying to use Shark to profile my app. However, it crashes after I hit "stop" and it analyzes and then goes to "load session". Only once when I decided not to select my app but chose to target "everything" did it actually display some trace. However, I could not reproduce this case. Does anyone have any idea what might be going wrong? Could it be something to do with the wrong version of Shark or my SDK or some other detail? I have the latest SDK and am running 3.1.3 on the phone. The various documentation I've found on google or via Apple's docs don't seem to be terribly helpful, so if anyone has found some that's useful, I'd love to see it. Thanks.

• keeping xmphp bot always online

  I created a simple xmpp bot in PHP which connects to google talk server. I basically modified the cli_longrun example. When I run the script in browser the bot comes online and stays online for a while even after I close the tab on which the script was running (as it is just an infinite loop listening for events on the stream). But after a while the bot becomes offline. The question is how do I keep the bot always online. One way I can think of is to run a cron that would disconnect the earlier one and start a new session. But is there a better approch?

• Creating a column of RadioButtons in Adobe Flex

  I am having an un-predictable behavior of creating radio buttons in advancedDataGrid column using itemRenderer. Similar kind of problem has been reported at http://stackoverflow.com/questions/112036/creating-a-column-of-radiobuttons-in-adobe-flex. I tried to use the same procedure i.e. bind every radio button selectedValue and value attributes with the property specified in the property of the associated bean but still facing the problem. The button change values! The selected button becomes deselected, and unselected ones become selected. • Seam cache provider with ehcache null

  Hi every one, I'm trying to configure seam/ehcache following the tutorial from jboss page: http://docs.jboss.org/seam/2.1.2/reference/en-US/html/cache.html I put the ehcache.1.2.3.jar in project.ear/lib and injected CacheProvider as especified, but the CacheProvider always return null. The documentation doesn't show any aditional configuration for ehcache, just for jboss cache.   What I want is to add possibility to interact with application, and be able to extract information from application or event ask it to change some states. For that purpose I though of building cli utility. The utility will connect to the application and send user commands (one line strings) to the application and wait for response from the application. The command should contain: - command name (e.g. display-session-table/set-log-level etc.) - optionally command may have several arguments (e.g. log-level=10) The question to choose syntax and to learn parse it fast and correctly. I don't want to reinvent the whell, so maybe there's already an answer out there.

• Django, Redirecting staff from login to the admin site.

  So my site basically has 2 kinds of ways to login, one of them is for the common users, who get the regular screen that asks them for username and password, the other way its for staff. The staff login should redirect them to the admin site after logging in, but for some reason the redirect doesnt happen, it stays on the same login page. I use this condition on the login view. if user is not None and user.is_active and user.is_staff: auth.login(request,user) return HttpResponseRedirect("/admin/") The admin site its up and running in my url configuration and everything, but i dont know if this is the correct way to redirect to the admin site already on session. • Passing hash as values in hidden_field_tag

  I am trying to pass some filters in my params through a form like so: hidden_field_tag "filters", params[:filters] For some reason the params get changed in the next page. For example, if params[:filters] used to be... "filters"={"name_like_any"=["apple"]} [1] ...it gets changed to... "filters"="{\"name_like_any\"=[\"apple\"]}" [2] note the extra quotations and backslashes in [2] when compared to [1]. Any ideas? I'm attempting to use this with searchlogic for some filtering, but I need it to persist when I change change objects in forms. I would prefer not to have to store it in session.

• HTML page showing blank in iOS6 Safari

  I have a HTML page which is showing blank after it loads completely. Here is the scenario, The page is build with a set of using 3 frames. There are various javascript's which push content into the site. Also, there is a timeout function, which checks if the user has not responded for 3 minutes, it logs out the session. The issue is, when I load this page whole page along with the content gets loaded, but after a fraction of seconds the page goes blank! This issue is only with iOS6 Safari on iPad. Can anyone help me out in figuring out the issue? Thanks in advance.

  Hi, I'm using Apache common fileupload library with Netbeans 6.8 + Glassfish.I'm trying to change the current upload path to be in the current context path of the servlet , something like this: WEB-INF/upload so I wrote : File uploadedFile = new File("WEB-INF/upload/"+fileName); session.setAttribute("path",uploadedFile.getAbsolutePath()); item.write(uploadedFile); but I notice that the library save the uploaded files into glassfish folder , here what I get when I print the absolute path of the uploaded file : C:\Program Files\sges-v3\glassfish\domains\domain1\WEB-INF\upload\xx.rar My Question : How can I force the common fileupload to save the uploaded file in a path relative to the current servlet path , so I don't need to specify the whole path ? is this possible ?

  Has anybody some information about accessing Lotus Domino server to fetch entire mail contents by http(s) requests from php linux server? The article by Andrei Kouvchinnikov describes well how to fetch message list in notes mail folders; after obtaining session id during login one can for example select top 100 messages by calling: https://your.server.domain/mail_db/mailbox.nsf/($Inbox)?ReadViewEntries&Start=1&Count=100 And this works perfectly. The problem arises when I am trying to get message contents (0A1DA5EEB7B65277C12576F50055D811 is an example message unique Id): https://your.server.domain/mail_db/mailbox.nsf/($Inbox)/0A1DA5EEB7B65277C12576F50055D811/?OpenDocument Such request in IE shows frameset with data hard to parse, in less common browsers like Opera it informs about unsupported browser. Ideally if it is possible to fetch notes message contents and all attachments by requesting it in the url, has anybody some information what request would it be?   For some reason, I want to dump a table from a database (sqlite3) in the form of a csv file. I'm using a python script with elixir (based on sqlalchemy) to modify the database. I was wondering if there is any way to dump the table I use to csv. I've seen sqlalchemy serializer but it doesn't seem to be what I want. Am I doing it wrong? Should I call the sqlite3 python module after closing my sqlalchemy session to dump to a file instead? Or should I use something homemade?

• Modifying records in my migration throws an authlogic error

  I'm adding some columns to one of my database tables, and then populating those columns: def self.up add_column :contacts, :business_id, :integer add_column :contacts, :business_type, :string Contact.reset_column_information Contact.all.each do |contact| contact.update_attributes(:business_id => contact.client_id, :business_type => 'Client') end remove_column :contacts, :client_id end The line contact.update_attributes is causing the following Authlogic error: You must activate the Authlogic::Session::Base.controller with a controller object before creating objects I have no idea what is going on here - I'm not using a controller method to modify each row in the table. Nor am I creating new objects. The error doesn't occur if the contacts table is empty. I've had a google and it seems like this error can occur when you run your controller tests, and is fixed by adding before_filter :activate_authlogic to them, but this doesn't seem relevant in my case. Any ideas? I'm stumped.

• firefox: getting access to the list of tabs/windows to restore on startup

  Sometimes ffox fails to restore the previously open tabs/windows. This might be happening when some of the urls to be opened are no longer reachable (e.g. behind a vpn) or after the underlying OS (Windows) has been forcibly restarted (e.g. to complete an automated patch installation). Anyway, after restarting, can this list of urls be recovered somehow? Say for example, I was daft enough to have clicked on "start new session". Can I still get access to the old list of open urls? There is the browser history of course, but it contains a lot of stuff - the urls that were open when ffox last exited are not obvious. It would be neat if they were marked in some way - tagged for example. .robb

  Can't find any tutorial for creating a simple questionnaire system on RoR (without using Finite State Machines). I think the Model is simple: Quizzes (have many Questions) Questions (belong to Quizzes, have many Choices, have one Answer) Choices (belong to Questions) Responses (belong to Users, belong to Questions) Users (have many Responses). User logs in (session is created), chooses some Quiz (Questions which belong to this Quiz are shown). User navigates through the Questions, makes his choice (Response), finishes the Quiz. Responses are compared with Answers. System shows some results. But as I'm new to Rails it is difficult for me to make it work properly. Any help? Maybe there is a tutorial where some similar app is created?

  I'm running into a problem where a Server 2003 SP2 box has started crashing roughly once an hour, BSODing out with the message that fltmgr.sys is probably the cause. I ran dumpchk.exe on the memory.dmp file, indicating the same thing. Any thoughts on typical root causes? • Searching Outlook Global Adress List

  I'm pulling up the Global Address List from Outlook like so... Microsoft.Office.Interop.Outlook.Application oApp = new Microsoft.Office.Interop.Outlook.Application(); AddressList gal = oApp.Session.GetGlobalAddressList(); ...with the aim of eventually being able to search through this in my own application to retrieve contact information which I can then supply to a method that squirrels off an email. Unfortunately given that my own GAL has about 20K entries in (the customers much more) using a foreach or something simply doesn't work in an acceptable timeframe. I want to pass a string like "Tom" to a method and have it return a list of possible contacts. Is this possible outside of actually opening up Outlook and creating the mail there? Note: There are a couple of other questions similar to this but most seem to have no good answer. I'm hoping I have more luck.

• CakePHP: Why does adding 'Security' component break my app?

  I have a strange problem -- of my own making -- that's cropped up, and is driving me crazy. At some point, I inadvertently destroyed a file in the app/tmp directory...I'm not sure which file. But now my app breaks when I include the "Security" component, and works just fine when it's not included. I'm thinking it might be related to the Security.salt value somehow, or possibly to the saved session info, but I don't really have a deep enough knowledge of CakePHP to figure it out. Can anyone offer any insight here?
