  • Include a tpl file with variables (Smarty)

    I have a "links.tpl" file which contains lines with many variables such as below {assign var=link_main value="index.php"} {assign var=link_login value="?a=login"} but when i include this file in home.tpl using {include file="file.tpl"} the variables {$link_main}, {$link_login} are not included i put the {assign var=link_main value="index.php"} in home.tpl and it works but not from included file i have tried adding scope=global to variable and parent to include but nothing happened I tried the last few hours finding a solution, any help is appreciated

    During loadView I am creating 20 UIButtons that I would like to change the title text of depending on the state of a UIPageControl. I have a pre-save plist that is loaded into a NSArray called arrChars on the event of the current page changing, I set the buttons titles to their relevant text title from the array. What am I doing wrong? I have been told before that tracking things by allocations is a bad way to chase leaks because as far as I can see, the object is not leaking in Instruments but my total living allocations continue to climb until I get a memory warning. If there is a better way to track there I would love to know.

  • Checking Selected Radio Button after POST

    I've been using ASP.NET controls which perform a lot of the manual for you. But I'm going back to the basics, what everyone else does. I'm using standard input tags. So for example if I have a radio button group and I select a button. When the form submits and does a POST back to whatever action="MyPage.aspx" then to grab and check the radio button's value that was selected is it always done like this below? <label><input type="radio" name="rbGroup" value='<%# ((Action)Container.DataItem).ID %>'/><%# ((Action)Container.DataItem).Name %></label> So here I'm appending the ID to the value. And then when it hits the page that my action specifies, I'm checking to see which was selected by trimming off and getting that ID from the value: string selection = Request.Form["rbGroup"]; string dbRecordIdSelected = int.Parse(selection.Substring(1)); so now I can check the id they selected...that is the ID of the db record that gave that selected radio it's name. Is that how you basically always check what radio was selected by checking the name/value pair that comes across for that selected radioButton group name? And then you can append stuff like IDs or whatever you want to grab and parse out to then do additional logic on the server-side once that header reaches the server and your specified page in the action attribute? The above code is not production code, just something to explain what I'm talking about.

  • PHP: Check if 0?

    Hi, I am using a class which returns me the value of a particular row and cell of an excel spreadsheet. To build up an array of one column I am counting the rows and then looping through that number with a for() loop and then using the $array[] = $value to set the incrementing array object's value. This works great if none of the values in a cell are 0. The class returns me a number 0 so it's nothing to do with the class, I think it's the way I am looping through the rows and then assigning them to the array... I want to carry through the 0 value because I am creating graphs with the data afterwards, here is the code I have. // Get Rainfall $rainfall = array(); for($i=1;$i<=$count;$i++) { if($data->val($i,2) != 'Rainfall') // Check if not the column title { $rainfall[] = $data->val($i,2); } } For your info $data is the excel spreadsheet object and the method $data->val(row,col) is what returns me the value.     Was just doing a code review and started to wonder: I thought if (self = [super init]) checks whether assigning return value of [super init] to variable self was successful or not (value of operation). Thus (self = nil) would actually be TRUE. I thought if ((self = [super init])) checks what is the value of self after assignment (value of variable). Thus ((self = nil)) would be FALSE. Which one is the correct way to use when initializing your own classes? Apple documentation uses the former one (for example here), which style I'm actually using now.

    I'm new to PHP, and have spent 10 hours trying to figure this problem out. The goal is to take all data entered into this order form, and send it to my email via PHP. I have 2 questions: 1. I can get PHP to send data from a single menu item (example: Mexican Tortas), but how do I get PHP to send data from multiple items (example: Mexican Tortas, Fish Sandwich and Hamburger)? 2. How do I tell PHP to not send data from menu items that don't have the "How Many?" or "Customize It?" text fields filled out?     I am using a custom route handler for a webforms application. I am using routes to determine localization. ie: if the url has es or fr in the route it will load either spanish or french resources. for example: www.someroute/es/checkstuff/checkstuff.aspx will load: www.someroute/checkstuff/checkstuff.aspx with the spanish resources. I am configuring the custom routes in global.asax via: protected void Application_Start(object sender, EventArgs e) { RegisterRoutes(RouteTable.Routes); } public static void RegisterRoutes(RouteCollection routes) { foreach (var value in _customRoutes) { routes.Add(value.RouteName, new Route(value.Route, new CustomRouteHandler(value.ResolvedRoute))); } } where _customroutes is a list of routes. Is there a way to do this with some kind of pattern matching so I can avoid adding a specific route for each page in the application. While I know I could use a t4 template to generate the routes, I guess I am looking for a dynamic way to create the list

  • Is there a Java data structure that is effectively an ArrayList with double indicies and built-in in

    I am looking for a pre-built Java data structure with the following characteristics: It should look something like an ArrayList but should allow indexing via double-precision rather than integers. Note that this means that it's likely that you'll see indicies that don't line up with the original data points (i.e., asking for the value that corresponds to key "1.5"). As a consequence, the value returned will likely be interpolated. For example, if the key is 1.5, the value returned could be the average of the value at key 1.0 and the value at key 2.0. The keys will be sorted but the values are not ensured to be monotonically increasing. In fact, there's no assurance that the first derivative of the values will be continuous (making it a poor fit for certain types of splines). Freely available code only, please. For clarity, I know how to write such a thing. In fact, we already have an implementation of this and some related data structures in legacy code that I want to replace due to some performance and coding issues. What I'm trying to avoid is spending a lot of time rolling my own solution when there might already be such a thing in the JDK, Apache Commons or another standard library. Frankly, that's exactly the approach that got this legacy code into the situation that it's in right now.... Is there such a thing out there in a freely available library?

  • Strange behaviour of DataTable with DataGridView

    Please explain me what is happening. I have created a WinForms .NET application which has DataGridView on a form and should update database when DataGridView inline editing is used. Form has SqlDataAdapter _da with four SqlCommands bound to it. DataGridView is bound directly to DataTable _names. Such a CellValueChanged handler: private void dataGridView1_CellValueChanged(object sender, DataGridViewCellEventArgs e) { _da.Update(_names); } does not update database state although _names DataTable is updated. All the rows of _names have RowState == DataRowState.Unchanged Ok, I modified the handler: private void dataGridView1_CellValueChanged(object sender, DataGridViewCellEventArgs e) { DataRow row = _names.Rows[e.RowIndex]; row.BeginEdit(); row.EndEdit(); _da.Update(_names); } this variant really writes modified cell to database, but when I attempt to insert new row into grid, I get an error about an absence of row with index e.RowIndex So, I decided to improve the handler further: private void dataGridView1_CellValueChanged(object sender, DataGridViewCellEventArgs e) { if (_names.Rows.Count<e.RowIndex) { DataRow row = _names.Rows[e.RowIndex]; row.BeginEdit(); row.EndEdit(); } else { DataRow row = _names.NewRow(); row["NameText"] = dataGridView1["NameText", e.RowIndex].Value; _names.Rows.Add(row); } _da.Update(_names); } Now the really strange things happen when I insert new row to grid: the grid remains what it was until _names.Rows.Add(row); After this line THREE rows are inserted into table - two rows with the same value and one with Null value. The slightly modified code: DataRow row = _names.NewRow(); row["NameText"] = "--------------" _names.Rows.Add(row); inserts three rows with three different values: one as entered into the grid, the second with "--------------" value and third - with Null value. I really got stuck in guessing what is happening.

  • Extending appengine's db.Property with caching

    I'm looking to implement a property class for appengine, very similar to the existing db.ReferenceProperty. I am implementing my own version because I want some other default return values. My question is, how do I make the property remember its returned value, so that the datastore query is only performed the first time the property is fetched? What I had is below, and it does not work. I read that the Property classes do not belong to the instances, but to the model definition, so I guess that the return value is not cached for each instance, but overwritten on the model every time.   • Help with validation rules

    I am trying to figure out how to validate a section of a form using php. If at least one of value 1-5 is checked, then at least one of value A-E must be checked. Value's A-E cannot be allowed without at least one of 1-5 being checked. Multiple values in each section can be selected, as long as there is at least one value in each section checked. I have tried individual IF statements and arrays without success. Does anyone have any suggestions or examples? I am missing something and I am certain it is pretty obvious, right in my face.

    Hi all, simple question regarding property value inheritance in UserControls. If i create a UserControl, it has some standard properties like Background, BorderBrush and BorderThickness. Within that UserControl i have a border. I want to know, if i dont specify any set value or binding for the property BorderBrush of that border, will it automatically inherit the value of BorderBrush from the parent control? Thanks!
