• Android - Calling getJSONArray throwing JSONException with no stack trace

  Hi all, I'm currently working on an android app that pulls a list of forums from a JSON feed. I'm trying to parse the feed and immediately upon calling getJSONArray a JSON exception is being thrown with no stack trace. The JSON being returned is stored in an JSONObject jobj with the format as follows: { "Forum": [ {"ForumName":"CEC Employee Communications Forum","ForumId":"105"}, {"ForumName":"CEC External Stakeholder Relations Forum","ForumId":"109"}, {"ForumName":"See All...","ForumId":"0"} ] } However when running the following code, I get an immediate exception without a stack trace: JSONArray jarray = new JSONArray(); jarray = jobj.getJSONArray("Forum"); Running jobj.GetJSONArray("Forum").toString(); returns what looks to be a correct array of the format: [ {"ForumName":"CEC Employee Communications Forum","ForumId":"105"}, {"ForumName":"CEC External Stakeholder Relations Forum","ForumId":"109"}, {"ForumName":"See All...","ForumId":"0"} ] I also tried JSONArray jarray = new JSONArray(jobj.GetJSONArray("Forum").toString()); and had the exception thrown immediately. • Multiple aggregate functions in one SQL query from the same table using different conditions

  I'm working on creating a SQL query that will pull records from a table based on the value of two aggregate functions. These aggregate functions are pulling data from the same table, but with different filter conditions. The problem that I run into is that the results of the SUMs are much larger than if I only include one SUM function. I know that I can create this query using temp tables, but I'm just wondering if there is an elegant solution that requires only a single query. I've created a simplified version to demonstrate the issue. • Javascript childNodes does not find all children of a div when appendchild has been used

  Alright, I am hoping someone can help me out. I apologize up front that this one may be confusing. I have included an example to try to help ease the confusion as this is better seen then heard. I have created a webpage that contains a group or set of groups. Each group has a subgroup. In a nutshell what is happening is this page will allow me to combine multiple groups containing subgroups into a new group. The page will give the chance to rename the old subgroups before they are combined into new groups in order to avoid confusion. When a group is renamed it will check to make sure there is not already a group with that name. If there is it will copy itself out of it's own group and into that group and then delete the original. If the group does not already exist it will create that group, copy itself in and then delete the original. Subgroups can also be renamed at which point they will move into the group with the same name if it exists, or create a new one if it doesn't. The page has a main div. The main div contains 'new sub group' divs. Inside each of those is another div containing the 'old sub group' divs. I use a loop through the child nodes of the 'new sub group' div when renaming a group in order to find each child node. These are then copied into a new div within the main div. The crux of the problem is this. If I loop through a DIV and copy all of the DIVs in it into a new or existing DIV all is well. When I then try to take that DIV and copy all of it's DIVs into another or new DIV it always skips one of the moved DIVs. For simplicity I have copied the entire working code below. To recreate the issue click the spot where the image should appear next to the name ewrewrwe and rename it to something else. All is well. Now click that new group the same way and name it something else. You will see it skip one each time.   Hi All. We use jalopy to format our code to the sun standard (well 99%). I have 1 issue with it. It keeps moving comments to the right of the line. • Consolidate data from many different databases into one with minimum latency

  I have 12 databases totaling roughly 1.0TB, each on a different physical server running SQL 2005 Enterprise - all with the same exact schema. I need to offload this data into a separate single database so that we can use for other purposes (reporting, web services, ect) with a maximum of 1 hour latency. It should also be noted that these servers are all in the same rack, connected by gigabit connections and that the inserts to the databases are minimal (Avg. 2500 records/hour). The current method is very flakey: The data is currently being replicated (SQL Server Transactional Replication) from each of the 12 servers to a database on another server (yes, 12 different employee tables from 12 different servers into a single employee table on a different server). Every table has a primary key and the rows are unique across all tables (there is a FacilityID in each table). What are my options, these has to be a simple way to do this.

  How do I update different columns and rows across a table? I want to do something similiar to replace a string in SQL server I want to do this but the value exists in multiple columns of the same type. The values are foreign keys varchars to an employee table. Each column represents a task, so the same employee may be assigned to several tasks in a record and those tasks will vary between records. • EF4 generates invalid script

  When I right-click in a .EDMX file and click Generate Database From Model, the resulting script is obviously wrong because of the table names. What it generates is the following script. Note the table names in the DROP TABLE part versus the CREATE TABLE part. Why is this inconsistent? This is obviously not a reusable script. What I created was an Entity named "Address" and an Entity named "Company", etc (all singular). The EntitySet names are pluralized. The "Pluralize New Objects" boolean does not change this either. So what's the deal? For what it's worth, I originally generated the EDMX by pointing it to a database that had tables with non-pluralized names and now that I've made some changes, I want to go back the other way.   A colleague of mine made an assertion that "your employer owns all patents that you file while an employee". Is this accurate? For example: Suppose I'm an employee of company xyz where I make widgets of type "w". In my spare time I make widgets of type "t" as a hobby. I do not use any resources from company xyz at all for my hobby. Also the widget types are completely different. For example w could be lawn mower wheels and t could be sliding door frames (so I'm not using any skills learned from my employment at company xyz when making widgets of type t). If I were to file and receive a patent for widgets of type t would company xyz have any rights/ownership to this at all?

  I want to put some compressed data into a remote repository. To put data on this repository I can only use a method that take the name of the resource and its content as a String. (like data.txt + "hello world"). The repository is moking a filesystem but is not, so I can not use File directly. I want to be able to do the following: client send to server a file 'data.txt' server compress 'data.txt' into data.zip server send to repository content of data.zip repository store data.zip client download from repository data.zip and his able to open it with its favorite zip tool I have tried a lots of compressing example found on the web but each time a send the data to the repository, my resulting zip file is corrupted. Here is a sample class, using the zip*stream and that emulate the repository showcasing my problem. The created zip file is working, but after its 'serialization' it's get corrupted. • Session timeout issue

  I have a role based ASP.NET C# web application in which I am putting the menu object inside a session and I have a session timeout configured in the web.config as below: <forms defaultUrl="Home.aspx" loginUrl="Login.aspx" name=".ASPXFORMSAUTH" timeout="10"></forms> I first logged into the system as an employee and waited until the session expires and then when I click a link in the menu I am being rightly redirected to the login page with the ReturnUrl parameter. Now when I try to login to the system as an administrator I am still seeing the employee menu and not the admin menu. The method which loads the menu 1st checks to see if the menu session object is not null if so loads the menu from the session if not then it builds the menu and put it into session. So when the system timesout the menu session object is not being cleared. How can I fix this?
