    I'm using restful authentication in rails. Now I just want to change it to Authlogic. I used acts_as_authentic do |c| c.transition_from_restful_authentication = true end and changed the password and salt field to 128 characters.But, if I create a new user crypted password length is 40 characters length(Its not changing to 128 as in authlogic). Plz suggest me, how to change from restful to Authlogic from the start. i.e I have restful authentication now.(how to change it to authlogic..plz explain from start)

    Hello, Im making an application in cocoa and wanted to see if some strings in it were easily accessible so I ran OTX on it and sadly all of my code was found. Is there a method I can use to make my code more "secure" or at least encrypt/hide the strings? The reason I want to encrypt the string is it's a password for a server. When the service is set to use AdminAccount, the Security log reports the following attributes: Under UserAccount, the only privilege reported is SeImpersonatePrivilege. Is there a security impersonation that I can implement to give the UserAccount the ability to write to the Application Event log? I would prefer to use the UserAccount for this service rather than the AdminAccount.

    I'm trying to learn some Smalltalk. Fisrt found was Squeak, but since it has been removed from Gentoo ebuild tree because of security problem, so I decided to find an alternative. Then I found Pharo through Seaside project, after I downloaded Pharo 1.0 package, there are actually a SqueakVM inside! So, my question is: Is Pharo just a repackaging/rebranding of Squeak? And are those security problem of Squeak (bundle unsecure libs) still applied to Pharo? Thanks!
