• Scrolling through list element causes text elements to scroll as well

  I'm using a list element with variableRowHeight and word-wrap set to true like in the example below: http://blog.flexexamples.com/2007/10/27/creating-multi-line-list-rows-with-variable-row-heights/ When I scroll through the list with a mouse scrollwheel the text in the listItems also scroll. I know that this is to do with the height of the textField... but I am unsure how to best resolve this issue. Any thoughts are appreciated! The issue that I am experiencing also occurs in the example above.

  Hi, I'm new to python, so please bare with me :) I was wondering if there's any built-in way in python to append variables to URL's regardless of it's structure. I would like to have a URL variable (test=1) added to an URL which could have any of the following structures http://www.aaa.com (would simply add "/?test=1") to the end http://www.aaa.com/home (like the one above, would simply add "/?test=1") to the end http://www.aaa.com/?location=home (would figure out there's already a ? being used, and would add &test=1 to the end) http://www.aaa.com/?location=home&page=1 (like the one above, would figure out there's already a ? being used, and would add &test=1 to the end) I'd be happy to write domething to do it myself, but if python can already do it somehow, I'd me more than happy to use any built-in functionality that would save me some time ;-) Thanks in advance

• Sharepoint Designer XSLT count boolean node = true

  I have a SharePoint list I converted to XSLT to do some additional grouping and counting and percentages. I need to return the number of items = true within my nodeset, I have: <xsl:value-of select="count($nodeset/@PartnerArrivedAtCall)"/> (which returns the count of all the nodes) I have tried <xsl:value-of select="count($nodeset/@PartnerArrivedAtCall [@PartnerArrivedAtCall = 'Yes'])"/> (returns zero) and <xsl:variable name="ArrivedYes" select="$nodeset/@PartnerArrivedAtCall [@PartnerArrivedAtCall='Yes']"/> (also returns zero) Can you please give me a good example of how to count only the true values (in my XML, true = "Yes") Thanks!

• is there a way to use cin.getline() without having to define a char array size before hand?

  Basically my task is having to sort a bunch of strings of variable length ignoring case. I understand there is a function strcasecmp() that compares cstrings, but doesn't work on strings. Right now I'm using getline() for strings so I can just read in the strings one line at a time. I add these to a vector of strings, then convert to cstrings for each call of strcasecmp(). Instead of having to convert each string to a cstring before comparing with strcasecmp(), I was wondering if there was a way I could use cin.getline() for cstrings without having a predefined char array size. Or, would the best solution be to just read in string, convert to cstring, store in vector, then sort?

  I have the following statement in a Stored Procedure: DECLARE @Count INT EXEC @Count = GetItemCount 123 SELECT @Count Which calls another stored procedure with the following statement inside: SELECT COUNT(Item) FROM tblItem WHERE ID = @ID However when I test the call the EXEC outputs the value correctly but it is not assigned to the @Count Variable correctly. I've seen examples or stored procedures used like this, including here but none had a parameter and a return value used (that I could find). The ID Parameter is passed into the second statement which returns a count value used by the first StoredProcedure - all the info I have read seems to indicate this should work - but it doesn't the @Count value is aways zero, even when the GetItemCount returns always the correct value. This is in Microsoft SQL Server 2008 if that helps.

  Scala does not permit to create laze vars, only lazy vals. It make sense. But I've bumped on use case, where I'd like to have similar capability. I need a lazy variable holder. It may be assigned a value that should be calculated by time-consuming algorithm. But it may be later reassigned to another value and I'd like not to call first value calculation at all. Example assuming there is some magic var definition lazy var value : Int = _ val calc1 : () => Int = ... // some calculation val calc2 : () => Int = ... // other calculation value = calc1 value = calc2 val result : Int = value + 1 This piece of code should only call calc2(), not calc1 I have an idea how I can write this container with implicit conversions and and special container class. I'm curios if is there any embedded scala feature that doesn't require me write unnecessary code

  I'm a developer (and therefore a tester) of a website. Our site accepts any JavaScript or HTML from an user but I haven't been successful in explaining the danger of it, as obvious as it is. So I would like to prove it by logging in as my boss to prove to him that there is definitely a real danger here. I think this will put down any of his arguments and let us move onto filtering content like this. (note this question is not about filtering, or other suggestions on JavaScript tricks) I already know how to steal the value of the document.cookie variable with AJAX and a PHP file, but once you have that string of name=value;name=value;..., how do you apply it to your own browser? This is programming related because I am asking about tools which will help me debug my web program.

  Basically, how do I link an Outlook form and a C# back end? In VB you can write on the form Sub ButtonName_Click() Dim Recipients With Item.GetInspector.ModifiedFormPages("Message") Set Recipients = .Controls("To") End With End Sub which will fire whenever the button named "ButtonName" on the form is clicked and will set the variable Recipients to a string of whatever is in the To text box. Now I have a custom form, and I have a VS C# Outlook Add-in, and they're two separate things. I've got an event handler that can catch MailItem objects, but I don't know how to handle custom form button clicks or even how to access elements on the form. EDIT - Just to clarify, the custom form was created in Outlook and then its .ofs was imported into VS. Both Outlook and VS are 2010.

• Escaping if/else in Jade template

  So I have a simply block of html in my jade template with a loop: each dude, i in dudes div(class='someClass') div.otherStuff span.someContent #{name} I want to apply a data attribute to my top most div when a certain looping condition is met, in this case the first dude, I set it up like this each dude, i in dudes if i == 0 div(class='someClass, data-someAttr='first dude') else div(class='someClass') div.otherstuff span.someContent Setup like this it causes the div.otherStuff div and the span.someContent to only display on the else condition. I've moved the tab spaces around on those items but I can't get it escape that else and give the div.otherStuff and span.someContent to both the first dude and the subsequent dudes after that. I've also tried setting that data attr to a variable and trying to apply it that way but without any success. What I end up doing to get around it is this: each dude, i in dudes if i == 0 div(class='someClass, data-someAttr='first dude') div.otherstuff span.someContent else div(class='someClass') div.otherstuff span.someContent How do I escape that if/else so I dont have to duplicate the div.otherStuff and span.someContent?

• Problem with Refreshing data in ExpandableListView

  Hi! My problem is when I want to refresh data in ExpandableListView while being in that current activity. I create adapter and when I want to add new data to list I call again constructor of that adapter(it is my private variable) with all new data....and then I call onContentChanged() method to redraw my list. But what happens is that I cant expand my list any more...like it is blocked or something and logcat isn't saying anything...   I have data of variable lengths (reaching movements recorded in 2D) and want to create a function that will resample this data to a uniform length (500 samples). However, I want matlab to only resample between the maximum and minimum values given, without adding any additional distance. For instance, if I resample the matrix [1:1:10], the resampled matrix should have a minimum value of 1 and a maximum value of 10. So far I've tried the following: x = [1:1:10]; interp(x, 500 / length(x)); This, however, gives values above my maximum specified value of 10. Is there any way I can get matlab to resample/interpolate solely between two points, without extending beyond them?

  I have to generate PL-SQL code, with some common code(invariable) and a variable code. I don't want to use any external tools. Some ways that I can think: Can I go and maintain the common code in a template and with markers, where my java code will generate code in the markers and generate a new file. Maintain the common code in static constant String and then generate the whole code in StringBuffer and at last write to file. But, I am not at all satisfied with both the ideas. Can you please suggest any better ways of doing this or the use of any design patterns or anything? Thanks in Advance.

  I'm trying to make a form that handles the checking of a domain: the form should fail based on a variable that was set earlier in another form. Basically, when a user wants to create a new domain, this form should fail if the entered domain exists. When a user wants to move a domain, this form should fail if the entered domain doesn't exist. I've tried making it dynamic overload the initbut couldn't see a way to get my passed variabele to the clean function. I've read that this dynamic validation can be accomplished using a factory method, but maybe someone can help me on my way with this?   Hi guys, Looking for a bit of help with taking a dat from a DatePicker Widget and storing it in an sqlite database within the app. I have the following code: java.util.Date utilDate = null; String y = Integer.toString(date.getDayOfMonth()) + "/" + (date.getMonth()+1) + "/" + Integer.toString(date.getYear()); SimpleDateFormat formatter = new SimpleDateFormat("dd/MM/yyy"); utilDate = formatter.parse(y); java.sql.Date z = new java.sql.Date(utilDate.getDate()); x = z.toString(); Log.v("The date: ", x); } Where date is the DatePicker widget. If I output the utilDate variable (i.e. the Java version of date) using logCat it seems to work fine and gives me a format like: Tue Jan 04 00:00:00 GMT 2011 which I am expecting but using the code above to get the sql version of the date, it always gives me the date 1970-01-01. I'm pretty sure the solution is very simple but I just can't see it.

  I am working on a project in java and I was hoping to be able to collect statistics from the client and a possible problem that I fear will occur is the manipulation of the variables used for collection which will lead to illegitimate statistics. Is it in any way possible to prevent the manipulation of variables or is it always possible? For example: I want to log the actions made per hour from the client. The variable acting as a counter for the amount of actions performed is manipulated and a much larger amount is added to the counter. This data is then uploaded to the server (Of course using a multi-tier architecture to prevent even more possible problems) and considered 'legit.' Is there any way to prevent this?

My plan is now to Find the entry in my Users table for the twitter username retreived using the token, or create the entry if necessary Update the Users.TwitterOAuthToken column with the new OAuth token Create a permanent cookie with a random guid on the site and insert a record into my UserCookies table matching Cookie to User when a request comes in I will look for the browser cookie id in the UserCookies table, then use that to figure out the user, and make twitter requests on their behalf Write the oauth token into some pages as a js variable so that javascript can make requests on behalf of the user If the user clears his/her cookies the user will have to log in again to twitter Is this the correct process? Have I created any massive security holes? thanks!

  Hey guys, I'd like to simulate a flag in an xslt script. The idea is for template foo to set a flag (or a counter variable, or anything), so that it can be accessed from template bar. Bar isn't called from foo, but from a common parent template (otherwise I would pass a parameter to it).
