  • Android Mock Location locks GPS on status bar

    I created an app that uses mock locations to insert GPS coordinates. After removing the test provider via: mLocationManager.clearTestProviderLocation(mocLocationProvider); mLocationManager.removeTestProvider(mocLocationProvider); mLocationManager.removeUpdates(mLocationListener); When I launch google maps for example after exiting the app the GPS location is found and then never goes away. "Location Set By GPS" always remains on the notification bar even though my app is ended. Any ideas?

  • Why doesn't Java allow for the creaton of generic arrays?

    There are plenty of questions on stackoverflow from people who have attempted to create an array of generics like so: ArrayList<Foo>[] poo = new ArrayList<Foo>[5]; And the answer of course is that the Java specification doesn't allow you to declare an array of generics. My question however is why ? What is the technical reason underlying this restriction in the java language or java vm? It's a technical curiosity I've always wondered about.

  • StreetView Zoom problem in android?

    I refered this link.I am using the uri for streetview: Uri.parse("google.streetview:cbll=" + sv_lat_val + ","+ sv_long_val + "&cbp=1,45,,45,0.0&mz=0.0") But the zoom level always in Zoomed state. 1.0 is the normal zoom. so i set it for 0.0 . still its not zoomed out. why? But it working in default Google maps App? Any idea?

  • C++ program infile won't open in xcode?

    Why does the c++ program produce the error shown? I'm especially confused since outfile opens without error yet infile displays the error? Both are defined in xcode exactly the same!! I've altering the "path type" setting without success. The open on infile always fails! Any suggestions would be very much appreciated!!

I've fiddled with it for a little bit and realized that there is always a pending GET request "listening" if you will to some sort of update from the server.   • Please help me to deploy merge modules

    I need to deploy some Crystal Reports XI .dlls (craxdrt.dll, crviewer.dll) to client computers. Craxdrt.dll has many dependencies. I found out that the easiest way to go about this is to use the supplied merge modules. Having always relied on ClikOnce deployment I am at a total loss how to do this. If it matters: the .exe is written in VB6, but I have visual studio 2010 to make setup projects. Thanks!

    Let's say I have an array in Matlab: x = [1 1 1 2 2 2 3 3 3 3 2 2 3 3 3 1 1 1 1 1 2 2 2 2 3 3 3] I want the indices of the most recent set of consecutive '1's. In this case, I want the answer: answer = [16 17 18 19 20] % (which should correspond to the last sequence of 1's) I need an automated way to do this in Matlab, that will work with any size arrays, always giving me the indices for the last set of consecutive 1s. Any suggestions?

Now my question is the following: Does the suffix has ANY effect on how the processor is getting the data out of main memory or will always be one or more 32-bit (x86) chunks loaded into the cache ?     I want to use swig for generation of read-only wrappers for a complex object. The object which I want to wrap will always be existent while I will read it. And also I will only use my wrappers at the time that object is existent, thus I don't need any memory management from SWIG. For following swig interface: %module test %immutable; %inline %{ struct Foo { int a; }; struct Bar { int b; Foo f; }; %} I will have a wrappers which will have a lot of garbage in generated interfaces and do useless work which will reduce performance in my case.     at the top of my controller, outside of any method, I have @@javascript_is_disabled = false and I have methods that that the view calls and invokes something like this @@javascript_is_disabled = params[:javascript_disabled] but when I need the @@javascript_is_disabled in completely different method.. it is always false. I know it changes in the method with params args... cause those methods behave differently, and appropriately And ideas?

Right now I have 5 different versions listed on the GRUB, even though I always select the latest version to work with. Am I supposed to do anything to get rid of the old version references? Do these old versions affect disk space/performance?

  • One iPhone, two developer machines

    Hi all, I switch between my iMac and MacBook when working on my apps. I've always used my iMac to test the apps on the actual device, but I would like to be able to do this from both computers. I cannot seem to use the profile on my MacBook as it does not have the correct Certificate Signing Request in the KeyChain. Is there a way to copy these between machines and KeyChains? :)

    I'm writing a thread-pool for Qt as QRunnable doesn't handle event loops in new threads. Not too familiar with STL, what would be the best way to pop() something by priority? Priority should probably be a property of MyRunnable imo, but I can always give that info to an STL container when adding the runnable to the queue.

    Is there any way to round numbers in C? I do not want to use ceil and floor. Is there any other alternative? I came across this code snippet when I Googled for the answer: (int)(num < 0 ? (num - 0.5) : (num + 0.5)) The above line always prints the value as 4 even when float num =4.9. Please suggest a solution.

I'm moving to Mercurial or Git very soon for my web software, and sometimes my branches require significant database changes which other branches should not see. This, I can't always share the same database for my branches. Is there some standard way of dealing with database changes for branching and cloning? What do you all do? I'm using MySQL.
