  • Why does this jQuery dropdown menu display subcategory selections only for certain top-level categories?

    I'm trying to implement a dropdown menu based on a jQuery plugin from Filament Group: http://jsfiddle.net/chunkymonkey/Pr8k4/ What I am having difficulty fixing is a bug where certain categories can be expanded to show their subcategories while others show nothing when opened up. For example: Alternative Rock can be expanded to show its multiple subcategories . . . BUT . . . World Music, which has equally many subcategories, shows no subcategories when expanded. I would be very grateful if anyone could help me figure out what's causing this. Thanks. UPDATE: Just noticed this problem may be Chrome-specific(??). I just tested it in IE8 and Firefox and it seems to work correctly in both.

I would like now to show the complete node on the left side of my page, nearby the Views, and update it when the user click on a different teaser (better using AJAX). what's the best method to implement it. I was considering to use a lightbox, but it a bit complex (a lot of complications... such as parsing the content with javascript again.. etc).     I'd like to fill System.Windows.Forms.ListView with the items I've stored in a separate System.Collections.Generics.List<. I would like to avoid to store the data twice, once in the List< and once as a string in ListViewItem. Is there a way to make ListViewItem use some callback function to obtain the text to put in its columns from the Tag property, instead of using its Text property?

Each of the created divs need to have a unique ID so I can access them specifically (at the moment, all my divs have the same ID specified in html so whenever I try to access a specific div it just finds the first one).   • Is it possible to use an incremental value within a variable name whilst declaring it within a loop?

    Hi, I'm creating function which will read different XML files each time that will contain different amounts of the same nodes. I have already created a loop which stores the ID of each node into an array, and now I want to create variables for each array member which store attributes of the node with each ID. Because the number of nodes will be different for every XML document my function reads, I cannot manually assign variables for the attributes of each node ID not knowing how many to assign, so I have created a loop which runs specific to the number of items I have stored in the array. Inside this loop I was hoping to have something like: for (i=0; i<array.length; i++) { var ID + i + width = exampleheight var ID + i + height = exampleheight } I know this doesn't work, but was trying to outline what I am looking to find out. Is it possible to use some kind of variable or random number when declaring a variable?

  • Display web page from another site in asp page.

    hi all, Our customer has a requirement to extend the functionality of their existing large government project. It is an ASP.NET 3.5 (recently upgraded from 2.0) project. The existing solution is quite a behemoth that is almost unmaintainable so they have decided that they want to provide the new functionality by hosting it on another website that is shown within the existing website. As to how this is best to be done I'm not quite sure right now and if there is any security issues preventing it or that need to be considered. Essentially the user would log on to the existing web site as normal and when cliicking on a certain link the page would load as normal with some kind of frame or control that has within it the contents of the page from the other site. IE. They do not want to simply redirect to the other site they want to show it embedded within the current one such that the existing menus etc are still available. I believe if information needed to be passed to the embedded page it would be done using query strings as I'm not sure if there is even another way to accomplish this. Can anyone give me some pointers on where to start at looking to implement this or any potential pitfalls I should be aware of. Thanks

    I having been looking around for an answer to this and have not found an answer anywhere, I am hoping someone has done this before! I have a form that allows for dynamic duplication of the form fields. The form allows for file uploads and text input, so the data is sent in both $_POST and $_FILES arrays. The the initial set of inputs look like this: <input type="text" name="primary[1][text]" /> <input type="file" name="primary[1][file]" /> <input type="text" class="a" name="secondary[1][text][]" /> <input type="file" name="secondary[1][file][]" /> When duplicated the fields are incremented, they look like this: <input type="text" name="primary[2][text]" /> <input type="file" name="primary[2][file]" /> <input type="text" class="a" name="secondary[2][text][]" /> <input type="file" name="secondary[2][file][]" /> To complicate matters, the "secondary" form fields can also be duplicated (thus the [] at the end of the secondary name array. How can I parse the posted $_FILES array? I have tried something like this: foreach ($_FILES['question'] as $f_num) { echo $f['file']['name']; } but I get an "Undefined index: file... " error.
