  • Idea: CodeIgniter codecompletion in Eclipse

    I just figured out that all code completion for Eclipse is stored in plain files located here (example): .\eclipse\plugins\org.eclipse.php.core_2.1.1.v20090921-1100\Resources\language I tried adding global variables like $_POST, $_GET, $_SERVER to the end of basic.php but without any luck (did try to restart Eclipse). Is there a way to create compatible files for the needs of "smooth integration" of (ie.)CodeIgniter framework by adding or changing files located here and how would it be done?

    I need to clear all my inventory tables. I've tryed SELECT 'TRUNCATE TABLE ' + TABLE_NAME FROM INFORMATION_SCHEMA.TABLES WHERE TABLE_NAME LIKE 'inventory%' but I get this error: Truncated incorrect DOUBLE value: 'TRUNCATE TABLE ' Error Code 1292 if this is the correct way, then what am I doing wrong?

    I have built my own little custom XML-RPC server, and since I'd like to keep things simple, on both server and client side, what I would like to accomplish is to create a simplest possible client (in C# preferably) using WCF. Let's say that Contract for service exposed via XML-RPC is as follows: [ServiceContract] public interface IContract { [OperationContract(Action="Ping")] string Ping(); // server returns back string "Pong" [OperationContract(Action="Echo")] string Echo(string message); // server echoes back whatever message is } So, there are two example methods, one without any arguments, and another with simple string argument, both returning strings (just for sake of example). Service is exposed via http. Aaand, what's next? :) P.S. I have tried googling around for samples and similar, but all that I could come up with are some blog-related samples that use existing (and very big/numerous) classes, which implement appropriate IContract (or IBlogger) interfaces, so that most of what I am interested is hidden below several layers of abstraction...

    Yes, I know the following code does not work in IE. I know IE expects me to use XDomainRequest() instead. I don't care about that. This is firefox only. I'm trying to do a cross-domain web request in firefox javascript. I keep getting a status of 0. Does anyone know why? var url = "http://newyork.craigslist.org"; var xdr = new XMLHttpRequest(); //Yes, I know IE expects XDomainRequest.   • Best Way to Include Debug Code?

    I am programming Android applications, and the best way here may or may not be the same as Java in general. I simply want to be able to set a debug flag that will only execute certain portions of code when it's set to true––equiv to C++ setting a preprocessor #define DEBUG and using #ifdef DEBUG. Is there an accepted or best way to accomplish this in Java? Right now I'm just going to set a variable in my Application object, but I don't imagine this is the best way.

I was able to do for "Browser Button" but not for "Media Button" and if i do for "Media Button" then i am not able to do for "Browser Button"..     I have written a large C# app with many methods in many classes. I'm trying to keep a log of what gets called and how often during my development. (I keep a record in a DB) Every method is padded with the following calls: void myMethod() { log(entering,args[]); log(exiting,args[]); } Since I want to do this for all my methods, is there a better way to do this then having to replicate those lines of code in every method?

    Background: I have been attempting to read the rating that is assigned in Adobe Bridge CS3 using the creative commons Metadata toolkit for php without success. I am using shared hosting so I do not have an oppotunity to recompile php with different modules. Is php code available that could be used to read the rating that is embedded in the .jpg file? I have read that this is an xmp (xml) formatted section within the file.
