    Hi All, I am using iTextSharp to extract images from PDF. However, if the images are CCITT fax decoded, the bitmap creation fails with "Parameter not valid" error. As PdfReader.GetStreamBytesRaw returns CCITT encoded bytes, bitmap creation fails. Can someone please help me with decoding CCITT encoded bytes and in turn create a bitmap out of it? Thanks, Chandru

  • Interface builder UIButton custom background image not working on simulator/device

    I'm trying to do something really simple. I have an image for a button and I'm trying to set it on a custom button in interface builder. I set the background image accordingly (no case sensitivity problem here). In interface builder it shows up, but in the simulator or on the device it doesn't appear at all. Just the button's text will appear. Do I need to turn on some flag or something of the sort?

  • What causes this error? "CALayer position contains NaN: [240 nan]"

    I've seen this happen whenever i rotate a screen that has a UITableView on it. I've found out that it happens inbetween the willRotate and didRotate method calls in UIViewController My co-workers have seen it in other spots as well, usually around rotation. It hadnt started happening until very recently, and we're stumped as to how we should deal with it (google searches don't turn up the error message in its exact form). Has anyone else encountered this that knows what to do about it?

    I have a list of values each with latitude and longitude. I'm looking to create a translucent heatmap image to overlay on Google Maps. I know there are server side and flash based solutions already, but I want to build this in javascript using the canvas tag. However, I can't seem to find a concise description of the algorithm used to turn coordinates and values into a heatmap. Can anyone provide or link to one? Thanks.

I mean when a user touches their iphone screen, drags their finger downwards, and the webview shows a blank spot above the web page I had loaded?     What's the easiest/fastest way to grab data out of a YUI DataTable and turn it into a single CSV or TSV string? I basically just want to implement a one-click way to get the entire DataTable (it should preserve the currently-applied sorting) into a form that users can paste into a spreadsheet. My DataTable can get pretty big - 5000 to 10000 rows, 5 to 10 columns - so efficiency does matter.

Another problem in generatin alert is in time stamp of generated alerts. This means when I run snort on a specific day of dataset, snort insert incorrect time stamp for that alert.   • Why meta refresh followed by 2 redirects?

    I have encountered several websites where the initial visit by a user results in a http-equiv refresh to another (usually gibberish) url, which then promptly redirects (302) to another gibberish url, which in turn immediately redirects to yet a fourth url that actually displays the landing page for the site. My question is: what the heck? Why would a server be set up to behave this way?   • Is Flash/Actionscript any safer than Javascript for persistent online game?

    I'm finding lately how unsecure Javascript is when programming a game (I'm trying to do a turn based RPG and currently the battle calculations are done through Javascript which any player can cheat with of course giving themselves as much XP as they want), so I'm wondering if I were to move my battle screen to flash if this would be any more secure, or is there just as easy of a way to cheat this?
