  • Modifying text files and executing programs with command line parameters in c# or c++ on Linux

    I have a need to create a utility in Suze Linux. The utility will make modifications to some text files, and then use the information in those text files to program a device in the computer using a different executable which accepts command line parameters. I am fluent in c#, but have never worked with Linux. Should I take the time to learn Gnu C++ to do this, or install Mono? How would I execute the programming utility and pass it command line parameters?

  • Android: Learning the platform, have any app suggestions?

I just want to hear some suggestions from the community about what types of applications I should start with to help learn more advanced interactions with the platform. I have the following code: typedef struct node { int data; struct node * after; struct node * before; }node; struct node head = {10,&head,&head}; Is there a way I can make head to be *head [make it a pointer] and still have the availability to use '{ }' [{10,&head,&head}] to declare an instance of head?

Personally I have plenty of HTML and CSS experience, and some PHP (which would help learning JS), but for those that don't know any programming language what would you recommend?

  • How do I superimpose one bitmap image on another in GDI+?

    Using GDI+ I've made a heatmap bmp and I'd like to superimpose it on top of my bmp map. I've saved the two bmps to disk, and they look good, I just need a way to put them together. Is there any way to do this, perhaps using the Graphics object? How is transparency/alpa involved? I'm very new to GDI programming so please be as specific as possible.

Is there some kind of detector to record frequency/intensity of light radiation source? something like spectroscopy detector, but instead of actual machine, just the module which can be integrated in project.
