• How to use Region Time Zone with a .Net application?

  I'm working on an asp.net mvc application. Each user have his own time zone. Right now, I'm using "TimeZoneInfo.GetSystemTimeZones" to generate a drop down list in order for the user to select a timezone and this is what I store in my db They are like that: Morocco Standard Time (00:00:00) UTC (00:00:00) GMT Standard Time (00:00:00) ... I know that php use a different timezone set, they are "region timezone", for example: Europe/Paris Europe/London ... My question is: is there a way to play with the region timezone (like php) in an .NET application? The only way I can think of is to bind each php region timezone to the .net timezone. Also, the "TimeZoneInfo.GetSystemTimeZones" list all of the timezone on the machine. Is the list different between windows server, windows vista, windows xp? Hope this make sense, thanks guys

  How would I trace out which archive(s) in the sources.list a given installed deb package was or (could be) sourced from? I understand that the same package may be indexed by multiple archives. Does "aptitude" log any of this type of information when its installing packages? My aim is to pare down my current sources.list to the minimum set of archives needed to maintain the current set of installed packages.

  Hi... I've have a table view that consist of item list that depends on the item that were purchased using in app purchasing. My question was how can I reload the tableView when the purchasing was completed/(or when new item was added on my list). The response of the storekit takes time to complete. Are there anyways to tell the app that the purchasing was completed and new item was added on my list so that I can reload my tableView. At this time I reloading my table view by adding [myTableView reloadData] in viewWillAppear method. But what if the user was already viewing the tableView, I can't reload the tableView because the viewWillAppear had passed. thanks...

  My UI is not updating when I expect it to. The application displays "projects" using a view similar to iTunes -- a source list on the left lets you filter a list (NSTableView) on the right. My filters update properly when they are examining any simple field (like name, a string), but not for arrays (like tags). I'm removing a tag from one of my objects (from an NSMutableArray field called "tags") and I expect it to disappear from the list because it no longer matches the predicate that is bound to my table's NSArrayController. • How to interact between GameCanvas and LCDUI elements on J2ME?

  The thing is I writing a J2ME program that fisrt of all show a "menu" using graphics interface (GameCanvas) and when the user select one item, I need to setCurrent that item (ex. a List), but when return from the List (it could be because the user push a Command "Menu" Item) I need to show the menu again. The real problem when the menu show again, the keyPressed() listener of gamecanvas object stop working. Basically I have: A Midlet object with: GameCanvas object instance A List object instance I don't understand how that works, I didn't find tutorial that share low and high graphics-level APIs on one Midlet.

  I have 2 tables, 1 with countries, 1 with states. The states table has a column with Population. I'm using entities and I have created a List of states for the countries public class TblCountries { //Entities for my table country ... public List<tblStates> States { get; set; } } So now I can for example List all the states that belong to a country. Now what I want to do is count the population, so I can show the population that of an entire country. I tried using in my view @foreach (var item in Model.Countries) { @Html.DisplayFor(modelItem => item.States.Count<population>) } But this doesn't work, anyone know how to do this? • Interpreter in C++: Function table storage problem

  In my interpreter I have built-in functions available in the language like print exit input, etc. These functions can obviously be accessed from inside the language. The interpreter then looks for the corresponding function with the right name in a vector and calls it via a pointer stored with its name. So I gather all these functions in files like io.cpp, string.cpp, arithmetic.cpp. But I have to add every function to the function list in the interpreter in order for it to be found. So in these function files I have things like: void print( arg ) { cout << arg.ToString; } I'd add this print function to the interpreter function list with: interpreter.AddFunc( "print", print ); But where should I call the interpreter.AddFunc? I can't just put it there below the print function as it has to be in a function according to the C++ syntax. Where and how should all the functions be added to the list?

• Get DataGridView checkbox cell value?

  Hello guys. I'm having a strange issue here. I have a 3 column datagrid that is filled by a connection with the database. So far so good. I have an extra column, of checkbox type. I need to get it's value for perfoming a bulk operation on it. Here is the catch: When all cells are selected, it works fine. But when an user selects any cell that its not the first, software gives me a object reference exception. Here is the code public List<String> GetSelected() { List<String> selected = new List<String>(); foreach(DataGridViewRow row in datagrid.rows) { if ((Boolean)row.Cells[wantedCell].Value == true) { selected.Add(row.Cells[anotherCell]); } } } I tracked down the failure to the if-test, throwing a exception, because the value of the cell is read as null.   How to make the autocompletion feature return the current suggestion (from "completion list") in full? That is, how not to jump only to the next CamelCase with TAB ... but instead have, say, CTRL + TAB choose the suggestion immediately/in full? Example Having CGPDFStringGetLength selected in the "completion list", one would have to press TAB four (4) times! first TAB get to CGPDF then to CGPDFString then to CGPDFStringGet then to CGPDFStringGetLength It would be nice to have CTRL + TAB (for example) make the above a one-step process.

Is it possible to influenece on the order of displayed fields somehow?

• dijit hovering MenuItem issue

  I have a dijit.layout.TabContainer on my form. I resize the browser window in such a way that all tabs won't fit in a single screen. In this case dijit automatically adds a drop-down button at the right end of the TabContainer (I get this for free). If I click on the drop-down button then I get the full List of Tab Names. Hovering over the List of Tab Names (which is in fact a collection of menu items) it blanks out the menu item name which I'm currently over. e.g. Full List: Tab1 Tab2 Tab3 Hovering over Tab2 I get: Tab1 Tab3 I get the same issue with any other dijit.Menu, dijit.MenuItem AND I get the same issue on IE, Firefox, Chrome. I haven't tested on any other browser. Thanks.

So far I have something along the lines of: List<FileInfo> files = new List<FileInfo>(); IEnumerable<FileInfo> result = files.Where(f=>f.Extension.Equals(".jpg", StringComparison.InvariantCultureIgnoreCase)|| f.Extension.Equals(".gif", StringComparison.InvariantCultureIgnoreCase) ); etc Obviously I'm not happy with this solution, but I don't know how to do this otherwise in a single call. What's the better way to go about it?

List<Audit_Type> table = new List<Audit_Type>(); var query = session.CreateSQLQuery("call Audit_Rows(Audit_Table_Type(:table))") .SetParameterList("table", table, NHibernateUtil.Custom(typeof(AuditTypeUDT))) This is what I did intuativly created the ICompositeType and just set in a list of them in but this gives me nothing close to what I wanted. I couldn’t figure out how to bind to a table at all. I have built the inline sql that would do this for me but it would destroy my shared pool (not using binds). So a General question how do I bind to complex/composite types using Nhibernate?

• How can I "slide up" a view on android from the bottom of a screen?

  I'm trying to make a really simple slide up list view, which is displayed when a user clicks on a button at the bottom of the screen. Here's how it should look: And a complete implementation in HTML/JS http://jsbin.com/utAQOVA/1/edit I've tried to use RelativeLayout to position the list just below the button, and put that whole thing into a wrapper and then animate that up/down (same as in the JSBin above). The problem is that the bottom part which isn't visible in the beginning is somehow clipped, even if I slide it up. Evern if I initially show a portion of the list as the screenshow below shows, the bottom part gets clipped when it moves up and only the part that was initially visible is displayed. What would be a proper approach to do this kind of animation? Here's a relevant portion of the layout

• Collectable<T> serialization, Root Namespaces on T in .xml files.

[Serializable] public class Collectable<T> : List<T>, IDisposable { public Collectable() { } public void Dispose() { } } And an Item that uses it is defined.. [Serializable] [System.Xml.Serialization.XmlRoot("Titles")] public partial class Titles : Collectable<Title> { } The problem is when I call the method, it expects "Collectable" to be the XmlRoot, but the XmlRoot is "Titles" (all of object Title). I have several classes that are collected in .xml files like this, but it seems pointless to rewrite the basic methods for loading each up when the generic accessors do it - but how can I enforce the proper root name for each file without hard coding methods for each one? The [System.Xml.Serialization.XmlRoot] seems to be ignored.

  mod_deflate seems pretty sweet. I'd love to turn it on across the board for text/html--but for certain pages, I don't want to gzip since upstream proxies need to be able to inspect the content. I know there's an AddOutputFilterByType directive -- is there any way to combine that w/ a header inspect so that if I see X-NO-COMPRESS true I skip mod_deflate?

When I had to clip this (discard any amount of items above some threshold) I used: myList.RemoveRange(threshold, myList.Count - threshold); where threshold is the max amount of things the list can contain Now I've upgraded the datatype to a Dictionary<key, myClass> myDictionary How can I basically do the same: Discard all entries above some threshold. (It doesn't matter which ones are discarded) I guess I could foreach through the keys collection and manually delete all keys/value pairs. But I was hoping there was a more elegant solution.

  This might be a dupe. I did not find enough information on this. I was discussing memory allocation for collections in .Net. Where is the memory for elements allocated in a collection? List<int> myList = new List<int>(); The variable myList is allocated on stack and it references the List object created on heap. The question is when int elements are added to the myList, where would they be created ? Can anyone point the right direction?

And I don't know how to structure the data source so that the code is easy to maintain. I tried to put the list of News Items into a 2 dimension Array in this case is a NSMutableArray of NSArray objects. However I got some objc_exception_throw and I don't think this is flexible enough. Could you guys give me some ideas?
