  • Creating a .reg file for Windows 7

    I created a .reg file but when I double-click it, it doesn't want to be imported. The specified file is not a registry script.You can only import binary registry files from within the registry editor. Here is the content of the .reg file [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shell\PngCrush] @=”PNG Crush” [HKEY_CLASSES-ROOT\Folder\shell\PngCrush\command] @=”E:\Programs\PNGCrush\crush.bat %1” Could someone help me?     Hi All, I downloaded latest SDK xcode_.2.2.2_and_iPhone_SDK_3.2_final.dmg from apple site. I uninstall the old SDk and double click the .dmg file then i got a popup stating that "The following Disk Images couldnt found" and "xcode_3.2.2.2_and_iPhone_SDK_3.2_final.dmg is not recognized". I am using OS 10.6.3 Thank You

  • Error in Word 2007 page setup

    I am not sure what the issue may be, but I am getting a weird error in Word 2007 (running on Win7 pro x86). When I click the page setup button (or try and chnage one of the page formatiing button like orientation) the program stops responding and crashes on me. This is really getting annoying. If I try ping computer.domain.tld, DNS translates it to an IP but the computer does not answer. It is right that ping does not answer? Pinging a computer that is not joined to the domain replies as expected. How can I correct this issue?

  • Preventing some apps from appearing on the start menu on vista

    Vista start menu shows your most frequently used apps, which is great, I love it. However, there are some apps which I use frequently through shell or such, that I do not want to appear on that menu. Winrar, Media Player Classic, Infranview... I can right click on it to remove it, but it'll return to the menu shortly, how can I set it so that those apps never appear on the start menu. Thanks.

Do you know to what resources the application pool does not have permissions to?

  • Firefox 16 freezes or crashes when playing Youtube or flash videos

    Using the most up to date Firefox (16.0.2), and Adobe Flash. Whenever I go to any youtube video or flash video on another page, Firefox starts the video, but only plays the audio, and then when I make any click on anywhere within Firefox, it gets completely stuck. It freezes and the only way to get it to close is to go to task manager. I restarted in Safe Mode and it did the same thing. Windows 7 64 bit.

    In Windows 7 Explorer, when I open a folder containing only music, it's smart enough to show me a custom set of columns (Name, #, Title, Contributing Artists, Album) that make sense for a music folder. However, I also always want to see a Length column. I can right click on the column headers and add the Length column, which is persistent for that folder, but when I go to another music folder, it doesn't have the new Length column. How do I set up Windows so that ALL music folders ALWAYS show me this column?

    I see lots of documentation on how to manually set up a network bridge and then manually add vm's tun devices to these bridges and then write a shell script that glues it all together. lots of work, very manual, and not impressive. On the other hand if you want to use NAT to KVM+libvirt VMs to the network you just click the new network button in the virt-manager gui and relax. Am I missing "the easy way" of causing a VM to share the physical network with the host?

  • Mac Finder - Alternate default application?

    Hi, Double click on an image opens the default application associated with it. E.g. "jpg" opens with "Preview", but some times I need to open with an alternate application, e.g. photo editing software. I don't want to change the "default" handling from "Preview" but may be with "Cmd-Enter" or "Ctrl-Enter" I want to open with another application instead of "Open With"-Select Application... Is it possible? Thanks.

  • Changing file browser in Scientific Linux

    I use Scientific Linux Release 6.1 (Carbon) with GNOME 2.28.2. When I double-click on a folder on the Desktop it is opened in "File Browser". When I open a folder via "Places" on the Main Menu Bar, the folder is opened in "File Manager". I dislike "File Manager" and I don't understand why there are two different programs (file managers) running depending on how I open a folder. How can I get rid of "File Manager"?

  • Make Excel 2007 open hyperlinks in Firefox

    In Excel 2007, when I click a hyperlink, it opens in IE. I'm running XP Professional SP3. Firefox is set as my default browser. Links in Word and Outlook open in Firefox. But Excel opens them in IE. Anyone know how to fix it? Edit: Process Explorer shows the command line for IE to be "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE" -Embedding Thanks!
