  • App crashes every second time a tableview row is selected in navigation controller setup

    Disclaimer first: I'm pretty new to Objective-C and the retain model. I've been developing in a garbage collected .NET environment for the last five years, so I've been spoiled. I'm still learning. I'm having my iPhone app crash with EXC_BAD_ACCESS. It happens in a navigtation controller/tableview setup. When I select a row the first time, no problems. It switches in the child controller without problems. I go back and select the same row again. Program then proceeds to crash. Every other row works fine, but every second time a row is accessed, it's a crash. I've pinpointed the location where this happens. The child controller (which is a class that I reuse for every row of the same type) that's being switched into has an array of NSString's representing the rows that will be displayed. I set it before pushing the child viewcontroller. It's there where this apparently happens. I'm having a hard time debugging this problem, still wrestling with xcode and all. I fear there may be some vital information missing here, but maybe there is something you recognize here.

    Hello all, I have the following query that retrieve the number of users per country; SELECT C.CountryID AS CountryID, C.CountryName AS Country, Count(FirstName) AS Origin FROM Users AS U INNER JOIN Country AS C ON C.CountryID = U.CountryOfOrgin GROUP BY CASE C.CountryName, C.CountryID What I need is a way to get the top 10 and then sum all other users in a single row. I know how to get the top 10 but I`m stuck on getting the remaining in a single row. Is there a simple way to do it? For example if the above query returns 17 records the top ten are displayed and a sum of the users from the 7 remaining country should appear on row 11. On that row 11 the countryid would be 0 and countryname Others Thanks for your help!

  • Delete recursive directorys with FTP command on Bash

    I have a problem with my infrastructure here. I am in a closed DMZ and have to access a FTP-Server in another DMZ from a headless Suse Linux 10.1. So i think i only got the ftp command.. But i have to delete a directory with about 100 subdirectorys and endless files in it.. When I type del directory it returns "Its not empty" and so i have to delete each sub directory and file manually. Oh please tell me a way how i can do this automatically :)

  • How to clear contents of cell in Excel?

    I've been sent an Excel spreadsheet with a weird first row. Some of the cells say "Column1", "Column2", etc., but I can't delete their contents. If I select the cell and hit backspace, it goes blank, but when I press return, it goes right back to saying "Column1". I found another answer here that suggested this could be caused by "Cell validation", but the validation window says "Any value", and also "show alert" (and I'm not seeing an alert), so I don't think that's it. The first row is white text on a blue background, if that means anything. The spreadsheet was sent to me in XLSX format, but I tried resaving as XLS and opening that, and it seems to make no difference. This is with the "ribbon" version of Excel (they got rid of the Help menu so I don't know how to see what version number it is!). Thanks!

    We are using hadoop to split a table into smaller files to feed to mahout, but in the process, we created a huge amount of _temporary logs. we have an nfs mount for the hadoop volume so we can use all the linux commands to delete folders files, but we just can't get them to be deleted, here's what I've tried so far: hadoop fs -rmr /.../_temporary : hangs for hours and does nothing on nfs mount: rmr -rf /.../_temporary :hangs for hours and does nothing find . -name '*.*' -type f -delete : same as above the folders look like this (38 of these folders inside _temporary): drwxr-xr-x 319324 user user 319322 Oct 24 12:12 _attempt_201310221525_0404_r_000000_0 the content of these are actually folders, not files. each one of those 319322 folders has exactly one file inside. not sure why the do the logging this way. Any help is appreciated.

For example if you have one array of two rows and another of three rows it's easy to calculate the size of the cartesian product (Array1.Rows.Count * Array2.Rows.Count = 6), but you can't iterate through each array and just use the product of the respective row positions to calculate the row position in the cartesian product.     I am doing data analysis and sometimes I need to check and to make sure each row in excel does not have any repeated value. I hope that there is a formula where each time if there's a repeated value in the same row, the value will be highlighted and it doesn't matter what value it is, as long as it's repeated in the same row. I try to search it everywhere but the closest I can find is below question & answer ( which couldn't apply to me as I need a formula that can highlight any value that's repeated and not only zero): I have rows which contain grades for students (numerical values), where the number 0 means they missed a class. I want the row to be highlighted in one color if they have "0" 3 or 4 times, and in another color if they have "0" 5 times or more. =COUNTIF(1:1,0)=5 Anyone can help me? Thanks in advance!

    I have a large Autofiltered list (~600 rows), with some of the rows being summary rows that I want to use a UDF to display the lowest priority listed in any of the 'child' cells. I can pass to my formula the right cells, but they are no longer correct if the list is re-ordered in any way. Is there a way to give the formula the right cell and have it recognise that I want that row and only ever that row? I can do it with a VLOOKUP to look at a hidden column that lists wether the 'child' row matches the right criteria, but with 600 rows and each parent row requiring about a dozen 'child' cells each, it's too slow.

  • Macro - maintain paste link if new row is added to master spreadsheet

    I have a master spreadsheet that has a portion of data (say columns a to e) that paste links to a report. Each row paste links to its own report. If I add a new row to the master spreadsheet I now have the wrong data linking into my reports. I know if I have the reports open when a change is made to the master it will update the reports. However, with the number of reports I will soon have this will no longer be practical. Is there a macro or formula that can be added to maintain the correct data link.   • Windows XP, have to use ctrl+alt+delete to log on as local administrator

    Hey, I have a weird issue, a user was was logging into a laptop using the local admin account which was working fine. I had to create another account on the system, which was also an admin account, when this happened the 'administrator' account disappeared from the 'choose an account to login with' screen. A quick workaround is available, if the user presses ctrl+alt+delete it brings you to the screen where you can type in the username and password, so by manually typing 'administrator' it can log in. Normally this would be easily fixed, I figured the admin account had somehow been disabled from the local system, but i checked all settings and it is setup fine. The laptop is not part of a domain, so I used the management console to delete the new account and all that succeeded in doing was making the 'choose an account to log in with' screen display no accounts to choose. So far I see nothing else to fix it, the option to change the default logon screen to style where you type the username and password also seems to be missing. any ideas?

This only happens with UITableViewRowAnimationBottom, but that's the animation that makes the most sense for creating or deleting table cells in this way. Is this a bug in Apple's framework? Or does it do this on purpose? Would it make sense to add an extra cell to the count, and then setup this cell so that it looks like it's not there at all, just to get around this behavior?
