  • How to remove the Junk E-mail folder from Outlook?

    Is it possible to do this? I'm using Outlook with my GMail account, and as such I don't really need/want the Junk E-mail folder as GMail does a sufficiently good job in filtering out the spam. I've tried using both another email client (Thunderbird) and the GMail web app to remove the folder, but Outlook just recreates it the next time it starts up. If I can't remove it, is there a way to map the folder Outlook is using to the GMail/Spam folder instead?

  • How to store a user's password to another web application

    I'm building a web application that shows users interesting visualizations of their Gmail activity (who they're emailing the most, etc). Obviously the user needs to give me his Gmail password to use the application, and I'm wondering how I should store it: Store the Gmail password in plaintext. Risky! Don't store the Gmail password at all; force the user to enter it every time he wants to sync data. Potentially inconvenient! Encrypt the Gmail password before storing it. The user's password to my application is the key. Something like (3) seems best, but with (3) I can only sync data when the user logs in (since I won't know his password to my application at any other time), which isn't ideal. I'd prefer a Mint.com-like solution whereby the user can click a button to sync data from Gmail at any time without re-entering his password (any idea how Mint accomplishes this without storing your banking passwords?)

And i want to improve it into the same format. How can i improve it if i want to edit them on vi?     i was looking for some namespace extention to extend using c# (.net) but didn't find much help online except Galaxy Filesystem tooklkit. which are vc++ based but comes with c# and java wrapper classes... which helps me alot to start and i did. i have extended that enough now and made installer to install. it get installed successfully but don't know why, when i open it, system get stuck... :( i thought my modified version might have some problem so i tried to run Galaxy filesystem toolkit's author original version and it responded in same way as mine do :D :( now feeling bit helpless as even author is not responding my queries regarding my queries for some reason... any help would be really appreciated.... FYI: i need to have Gmail drive like stuff...

    Hello, As you must have seen in gmail, a small popup appears to chat when you click on right bottom corner of your screen. Interestingly, this popup remains open and at the same place even when we navigate from one webpage to another. How can this be done? It doesn't look as though it's different page.   • Adding a button bar at the bottom of ListView upon checkbox select (as in gmail app)??

    I have a ListView with custom adapter. In each row there is a checkbox and couple of textviews. I want user to give option to delete the check marked items, so as soon as soon clicks on one of the checkbox, I want a button bar to slide in from the bottom and stay at the bottom regardless of listview scroll. This is something like the email app behavior of Motorola Cliq and to some extent gmail app itself. I have tried adding a relativelayout (containing buttons) below the listview, which has visibility set to gone initially, but as soon as user checks a button, the visibility changes to "visible". I have added a slide-in animation to it too. It is working but problem is that it is overlapping the last element of the listview which user can not checkmark if the button bar has already become visible. So I tried to set the bottom margin of the listview equal to the height of the button bar when I'm changing the button bar visibility, which solves the problem of overlap, but now the checkbox behavior has gone weird. Clicking on one checkmark tries to checkmark another checkmark in the list for some weird reason. I noticed that this happens because as soon as I change the listview margin, list redraws itself, and during this new call to getView() method of adapter, things mess up. I wanted to ask if anyone has done something like this. What is the best method to add such button bar below list while keeping the slide-in animation intact. Also, What is the footer-view of listview and can that solve my problem?

  • Pinning Google Chrome's "Application Shortcuts" to the Windows 7 Taskbar

    I love the idea behind Google Chromes Application Shortcuts, but they don't integrate well for me into the Windows 7 taskbar. Ideally, I'd like to be able to have my most used webpages (gmail, calendar, etc) as separate windows, pinned to the Windows 7 taskbar. I've created some application shortcuts on my desktop, but I've come across the following problems. If I open my gmail application shortcut, and then later on open a normal chrome window the new window will also use the gmail icon in the taskbar, even if that window has nothing to do with gmail. (What's weirder, is that this new window then uses a high-res gmail icon, but my actually application shortcut window uses a low-res icon. If I pin the application shortcut to the taskbar, then the icon turns into the regular chrome icon. Any idea's how to fix these issues? Or are they bugs in google chrome? Chrome version: 4.0.249.89

However, it is easy and tempting to open a New Incognito Window; since extensions are disabled in Incognito Mode, I'm still able to browse Gmail/Reddit in this manner. Is there any way to disable Chrome's Incognito Mode in Ubuntu? Ideally, this would encourage me to use my smartphone as a dedicated Gmail/Reddit checker.

Please check error log.'; } ?> I get the Mail sent message but don't receive a message in my inbox. Not even in the spam folder.   • Multiple thunderbird Icons in System Tray(Windows 7) & TaskBar

    Is this some new "feature" for thunderbird 8? When I start thunderbird it starts by opening thunderbird. Once it is loading thunderbird it loads another 6 thunderbirds. The windows are called Mozilla Thunderbird Inbox - [email protected] - Mozilla Thuderbird Inbox - [email protected] - Mozilla Thuderbird Inbox - [email protected] - Mozilla Thuderbird Inbox - [email protected] - Mozilla Thuderbird (yes it repeats the same one a few times) Inbox - [email protected] - Mozilla Thuderbird I have 7 email accounts but for whatever reason it only made 3 windows. What happened to the one window? When I minimize to tray I got 4 of thunderbird icons. When closing one of them all of the close. My other windows 7(32 bit not 64 bit) only have one instance.

    Hey guys, I am puzzled as to how my email can get compromised. As an example, (DON'T click on this address if you are not sure if you are safe: katikaj2Bennetth74.spaces.live.com), that's the only link sent using my account, and it seems that the username is randomly generated. After clicking into it on my linux machine, it seems that the only post is a viagra ad. I have never clicked into any of the links sent by any of my contacts. Anyone know what could be causing this?     Complete sendmail newbie here... I've been trying to get mailing to work in PHP and I've root caused it down to sendmail's complaint about "Name server timeout": >sendmail -t -v >From: [email protected] >To: [email protected] >. gmail.com: Name server timeout [email protected]... Transient parse error -- message queued for future delivery [email protected]... queued So it sounds like a DNS issue? But I can do a "dig mx gmail.com" and it will query successfully. Here's what confuses me... I can get sendmail to work two other ways. The first way is through telnet: >telnet 127.0.0.1 25 >Helo me >Mail from: [email protected] >Rcpt to: [email protected] >. message sent And the second way is by explicitly appending the sendmail.cf, but this is strange because it's the exact same file I use to configure sendmail to begin with: >sendmail -t -v -C/etc/mail/sendmail.cf But none of these solutions will resolve my PHP mailing... I am clueless as to what is going on... appreciate any help.
