    I'm trying to connect to SecureTransport 4.5.1 via FTPS using curl compiled with gnutls. You need to use --ftp-alternative-to-user "SITE AUTH" per http://curl.haxx.se/mail/lib-2006-07/0068.html Do you see anything wrong with my client certificates?     I am attempting to setup VSFTPD with virtual users on a server running Ubuntu 12.04. I have configured the server to allow for virtual users to login, but I am having trouble getting it to allow uploads. They each have a directory in /var/www/ owned by 'virtual'. As I understand it, when a virtual user logs in this way they will appear to the system as the user virtual. Using this configuration user can log on, but cannot upload files.   • Server not accepting uploads

    I'm having a strange problem with my VPS: I can download files from it, I can use PuTTy to connect to it and all behaves normally. But sometimes, when I try to upload a file to the server or save a file via SFTP, the connection inexplicably fails. I am using jEdit to edit files remotely via SFTP. When it works, it works fine. When it doesn't, I get an error message: Cannot save: java.io.IOException: inputstream is closed Cannot save: java.io.IOException: 4: I can see that a temporary save file (#file.php#save#) is created on the server with a filesize of 0. So the connection works, but when it comes to sending the actual data, something fails. The same thing with WinSCP, but the error is different: Copying file fatally failed. Copying files to remote side failed. And I can always browse the server with PuTTy without a problem. I see nothing abnormal in any log files. Auth.log shows this when I try to save: sshd[32638]: Accepted password for - from - port 62272 ssh2 sshd[32638]: pam_unix(sshd:session): session opened for user - by (uid=0) sshd[32640]: subsystem request for sftp sshd[32638]: pam_unix(sshd:session): session closed for user - When I wait for a while (say, an hour), everything works fine again. It can't be a temporary ban, as I am still allowed to connect to the server, right? I know this may not be enough info to solve the problem, but I am grateful for any clues or bits of information that might help me. What are the possible causes for this kind of behaviour, what log files can I check for clues etc.. I'm running out of ideas!

  • different user group can not upload file in the server

    I have a CentOS server running in Thailand, and I'm in Canada. The guy at the computer center who set up the server for me doesn't really understand much about linux and left me off an issue to solve myself. I just moved from Mac Server to Linux server, and the first thing I'm facing a problem now is `file name` has failed to upload due to an error The uploaded file could not be moved to `location name` So what happen is that I knew from my experiences of these problem is all about permissions. So I go ahead and checked on my whole folder and found that everything in the folder permission is like myusername mygroupname then I checked the httpd file in the server and it is default to apache apache. My question is that how can I make my user to be in the same group with apache group so that I don't have to have any problem about uploading, changing data in my file....? But without having to affect other user in the same server. I'm holding Administrator account, but not root account, but I can change stuff on the server root no problem. When I was with godaddy.com there never been any problem about the permission and I wish I know how they configure that :(

  • Reformatting a table based photo gallery to a UL based gallery

    I have the following code: var table = $('.photogalleryTable').before('<ul class="photogallery"></ul>') table.find('td a').wrap('<li>').parent().appendTo('ul.photogallery'); table.remove(); This code finds a table with a list of photos and re-codes it to use a unordered list instead. The script works perfectly except for one issue. If there are 2 galleries on a page, the script will grab all of the images and reformat them into one list. Because the CMS I'm using tags each gallery table with .photogalleryTable, I'm not sure how to keep the script from touching the other galleries. What I would like to have happen is have the script re-format the first instance and then move on to the next instance, keeping the list of photos separate Is that possible?

  • Need advice on speeding up tableViewCell photo loading performance

    I have around 20 tableview cells that each contain a number (2-5) thumbnail sized pictures (they are VERY small Facebook profile pictures, ex. http://profile.ak.fbcdn.net/hprofile-ak-sf2p/hs254.snc3/23133_201668_2989_q.jpg). Each picture is an UIImageView added to the cell's contentview. Scrolling performance is poor, and measuring the draw time I've found the UIImage rendering is the bottleneck. I've researched/thought of some solutions but as I am new to iphone development I am not sure which strategy to pursue: preload all the images and retrieve them from disk instead of URL when drawing cells (I'm not sure if cell drawing will still be slow, so I want to hold off on the time investment here) Have the cells display a placeholder image from disk, while the picture is asynchronously loaded (this seems to be the best solution, but I'm currently not sure exactly how to do best do this) There's the fast drawing recommendation from Tweetie, but I don't know that will have much affect if it turns out my overhead is in network loading (http://blog.atebits.com/2008/12/fast-scrolling-in-tweetie-with-uitableview/) Thoughts/implementation advice?   • Uploading image file from website on yahoo server causes 410 gone error message when trying to acces

    I have a form that lets users upload a photo of themselves. This seems to work. The photo does exist on the server once uploaded. When I try to access the file I get a "403 forbidden - you don't have permission to access this url on this sever" and also I get "Additionally, a 410 Gone error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."     Hello I have a problem search through the photo tag that facebook user got tagged. SELECT pid FROM subject = uid uid = are the friend of the logged in user. I have received a list of tagged for particular user since I wanted to count how many he/she being tagged, I counted on my server code after retreive an XML from facebook. I can see some of my friends got tagged 60, when I looked at his/her profiles, he/she has more than 60 around 200 tagged photos. Did I miss anything in my query? I created a dummy account and upload a photo including tagging but I receive the right number of tagged photos of his.

  • WPD on XP, Vista, and 7 (need to transfer photo and video files)

    I need to transfer files (still photos and videos) from any portable device that a user may connect (still camera, video camera, mobile phone, etc.) I don't need to worry about plain storage devices as these have drive letters. And I only care about existing files, I don't care about live video, preview video, taking new pictures, etc. I originally tried WIA, which works great except it can not transfer video files. So then I tried WPD, following along with dimeby8's tutorial: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/dimeby8/archive/2006/09/27/774259.aspx I haven't gotten the transfer working yet (I'm converting it over to C#), but I can at least see the device and enumerate the files in Win7. In XP I get nothing. It's pointed out in this thread that WPD won't enumerate devices on XP (see Lisa O [MSFT]'s post): http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en/windowssdk/thread/56459945-b757-45df-8c9f-4ebdbbb18a2c So WIA is out because it won't do video. And WPD is out because it won't do XP. Has anyone gotten this to work? Am I missing something simple here? Thanks.

    hi, I´m uploading photos with Django Photologue. Is it possible to leave the jpgs as the are? Even if I tell photosize to use Highest Quality compression the files end up having half as many kb as the originals. I must admit that the visable loss of quality is small but as i am a photographer i would like the images to apear exactly as i edited them (photoshop). I don´t need any of photosize´s cropping and effects tools. Can it be turned off completely? thanks for your answers.

    Hi! Currently I'm searching for a free solution to simple edit some photos at the users browser. Resizing and Cropping would be mandatory. I'm not searching for an online service (for example SUMO or PIXLR which are great), because I want to include the software into a WYSIWYG Editor. JavaScript would be really nice, but it would have to work in IE 8. Pixastic is a great example, but works only in modern browsers (not IE 8 :-/) Any suggestions what I could use? Maybe setting up some kind of image processing service with ImageMagick and communicating with it through AJAX could also be an solution? Has anyone gained some experience with such a solution?

To be more specific, given a set of fully calibrated cameras/photographs and geometry, how can we define a metric for choosing which photograph should be used to texture a given patch of the geometry. I can think of a few attributes one may seek minimize including the angle between the surface normal and the camera, the distance of the camera from the surface, as well as minimizing some parameterization of sharpness. The question is how do these things get combined and are there well established existing solutions?

    Hi all i want to know there a limitation in size for an iphone to display an image? as the resolution of iphone is 320*480 px. i am developing an app which fetches photos from an URL and that URL contains some photos os size 600KB.So when i launch the app in simulator it behaves properly but in device the application crashes as soon as photos with higher resolution are displayed , and when lower resolution photos are displayed the app does not crash in the device.

    Hello, I'm pretty new to the iPhone developing scene, and I am designing an app for a high school band program. Part of the app needs to be an image gallery that retrieves photos from a directory on the band's website and lists them in the thumbnail view. I can't figure out how to create a thumsview that isn't directly linked to specific pictures. I currently have this setup to work with a UIWebView that points to a PHP photo album designed to look like the iPhone Photo Album. This method works, but it is not ideal, and the navigation is obviously a bit less than what would be expected. Is Three20 the right tool for this job? If not, what should I be using? Thanks!
