  our company have a a old classic asp application, we have no choice but to host it. I just moved it to another server. It was perfectly running fine in old server but in this new server it's continuously giving this error. I am running windows 2003 server with IIS 6. Why I am geting this error ? please help. • Help setting up NSD daemon (DNS server)

  While searching for a secure dns server I came across the NSD project. I was really impressed by what seemed to me the best option out there that's open source. One problem thought their 'tutorial' is really not beginner friendly. I have basic DNS knoledge but what's in there is out of my league. I need to have multiple sites on this CentOS server I've recently got my hands on. They also need to receive email. Details: I have a master host and would love to set this in the way described in the rows that follow: masterhost.com -> ns1.masterhost.com mail.masterhost.com www.masterhost.com addonhost.com -> ns1.masterhost.com mail.masterhost.com www.addonhost.com And so on. Any help in setting up this DNS server please? All answers and suggestions are welcomed. Thank you in advance.

  Possible Duplicate: Change MAC Address I need to change the MAC address of my wireless adapter in Windows 7 (Ultimate RTM). I used to do this in XP both directly in the registry editor and with a .REG file I wrote. I have used each of these methods in Windows 7, as well as a few tools I found that are supposed to do this. Every time I change it, I disable and re-enable the network adapter in control panel, but upon running ipconfig /all it still shows my old MAC address. Any help? By the way, I do have Administrative Rights and UAC turned off.

• Excel Help: Userforms

  I have developed a macro that does a whole bunch of things for me based on a few things. (Importing files). The file names are dated dd_mm_yyyy and right now I enter them into a sheet where the macro can call the information. Not really wanting this I designed a userform where the user could enter the "dd", "mm", "yyyy" and how many consecutive days of files there were. Ex. Say 28_06_2011.txt 29_06_2011.txt there would be one consecutive day. I want to be able to call the information entered in the user-form (day, month, year, and consecutive days) to use in the macro and have been unsuccessful because I don't know how to call that information. Is it similar to referring to a range in a worksheet? Thanks in Advance for any Help.

• phpmyadmin on lighttpd gives me a 403 forbidden need help

  Whats the problem: When I goto //localhost/phpmyadmin I get what I would get if I did //localhost/, I'm using both http: and https:. What did I do, that changed it: I simply reinstalled lighttpd. What I have tried: Disabling and re-enabling 50-phpmyadmin.conf, Now I get a "403 - Forbidden" instead. When I goto /phpmyadmin/setup it asks me for a login, Not a clue what it is. Now I'm waiting for someone to help. :) Thanks to anyone with any answers. Latest Status: Not working, giving me a "403 - Forbidden".

• Snap Server 18000 connection help!

  I wonder if anyone here can help me. I have a home server setup made up of old secondhand computers, 2 servers running Windows Server 2003, 1 workstation running Windows 7, a 16 port switch & an adsl ethernet modem. All these connect and talk to each other fine but then I got a "Snap Server 18000" and a "Snap disk 30sa" sata array. When I turn the Snap on, it boots past the BIOS, runs a kernel, then displays: This device cannot be managed via the video/kbd/mouse interface. The video is now disabled. You may access the management functions from your web browser. Only, none of the other PCs detect it, so no browser can find it! I have checked all cables, and all LEDs indicate there's a connection. I have installed the windows "iscsi" and the adaptec "Snap Server Manager" on all PCs but still it's not detected. I don't know what else to do, please advise!

  Hey all i am using the windows verison of VMware Workstation 7.x and I am getting this error when i start my VM error loading operating system That only started to happen when i tried to load that vmdk file into the program VirtualBox. Prior to this it ran just fine. Ever since then i have been unable to start it in VMware Workstation 7.x... I've already tried to repair the vmdk file but when i do it tells me there are no errors found? I used vmware-vdiskmanager.exe -R "c:\blah\my vm disk.vmdk" Anyone else have any more suggestions i could try? It's a 300+GB VM so i really don't want to lose it!!! Thanks, David

  Hi, We are hosting our web site on host monster, but want our email to continue to be hosted at the old site. Our domain points to the hostmonster DNS servers, but I can't figure out the right configuration for the remote email servers. We have one MX entry, which is priority: 0 domain: ourdomain.com And then we have these DNS entries ... name: mail.ourdomain.com ttl: 14400 class: IN type: A record: old.host.ip.address name: mail1.ourdomain.com ttl: 14400 class: IN type: A record: old.host.secondip.address Can someone tell me what I need to add/edit to get mail to correctly route to our old host? • Linux - Help, I'm running out of inodes!

  I have a filesystem that has lots of small files. Currently about 80% of inodes are used (I checked with df -i), however only 60% of disk space is used. How can I 'increase' the number of inodes? If it was just disk space, I know that I could just increase the size of the disk (this disk is on LVM). If I increase the size of the disk, will that make me have more inodes? I'm willing to grow the filesystem this disk is on, if that'd help.

• Help replacing old Windows 2003 SBS DC with a Win2008 Standard Edition DC

  Objective: Trying to replace a Windows 2003 SBS domain controller with a windows server 2008 Standard Edition Domain Controller. What I did: used ADPREP. Then all user accounts and OUs are successfully replicated into the 2008 server. I have also managed to transfer all the DC roles (operations master,schema,pdc) into the Server 2008. I have also used NETDOM QUERY FSMO . It displayed that all the roles transferred to the 2008 server. Problem: When I am trying to demote the windows 2003 SBS server using DCPROMO, the message is “No other Active Directory for this domain can be contacted”. I also tried shutting down the 2003 server. Users can login into the domain but they have trouble finding SHARED folders. Can someone help me find out what I did wrong ? Need a little push in the right direction here. Thank you very much ?

• Help me a routing server on Windows XP

  I am developing client/server applications and need to test them on Internet environment. However, I only have one PC without connecting the public internet, so I have a plan to simulate a virtual internet environment on my PC. I think I will install the virtual machines for my purpose, but I can install only one machine because of my slowly PC. At the moment, my PC has 2 machines: the host machine (use Windows XP) & the virtual machine (use Windows Server 2003 Ent). Each machine will have 2 network adapter (host-only & internal), and in 2 network adapters, the internal adapter is private on each machine, and host-only adapters are connected together. With Windows 2003, routing server is ok, but I wonder on Windows XP, are there any routing server product? Please help me. Thanks.

• Will more memory help my CPU-peaking SQL Server 2008 R2

  I'm supporting a system running against a SQL Server 2008 R2. The server is a single-CPU box with 8 GB of memory. As traffic has increased, the server has started saturating, peaking to 100% CPU ever more often. Disk I/O remains moderate (somewhat surprisingly). Obviously, a new server would be the best option. But failing that, can I expect a noticable improvement from installing more RAM? Or does RAM only help for I/O issues (through caching)?

• Please help, I am losing my data?

  I was trying to remove MSDN Library-January 2002 by using Revo Uninstaller. I allowed it to delelet those leftover registry entries(my fault, i should be more careful and don't do that). Now my machine is almost unaccessible, cannot open that Revo Uninstaller to recovery, cannot open Windows Explorer, cannot run CMD command from run, all executable shortcuts are not work anymore. I guess I have to reinstall everything but how can I get my data out of the machine? It is a Dell laptop with Windows XP. I am afraid if I restart my machine, my machine will not come back anymore. Please help.

  I was wondering what a rewrite statement that looks for this situation. I want to have multiple users on my server. Each user can have 'VirtualDocumentRoot' like sites in his directory. For example, they just make a directory like 'example.com' in their home directory, and it's hosted. The problem is I don't know if VirtualDocumentRoot can do this, or if it would take a rewrite rule that looks in all the users folders for a domain. Can anybody help me?

Is fsarchiver correct tool for this job? What's wrong? I'm on Ubuntu 9.1 with fsarchiver 0.6.8 and lvm tools installed. Thanks.

• Need IPSec help on Windows 2003

  Hey guys, I am trying to configure IPSec between a web and app server in our environment. I want all traffic between these two servers to use IPsec and be encrypted. These servers are on the same domain so i am currently using Kerebos for security, I have also tried pre-defined keys and nothing changed. When I try and ping between the servers I get "Negotiating IP Security" everytime. I have also confirmed that when I change "Require Security" to "Permit" everything works so IPSec is working, I believe its something with my security setup. Under the security tab both servers have the default 3DES keys first and then DES keys. I have also specified tunnel endpoints (the alternate server's IP). What am I missing? Thanks for any help..

Also, there are chances that I might have overwritten the memory where the deleted data might have existed. Is there any software to do something about that? I am doing a little research on where small companies would go on the internet to get answers for technology related questions. Could be around sales, servers, programming, etc. Clearly superuser.com, serverfault.com, and stackoverflow.com are excellent starting points. I am just wondering if anyone has heard of any others.   Ok the title is not so clear after all, so let's start with the problem description posting some points: i'm on Win Vista i have a Virtual Box Ubuntu 9.04 server (Virtual Machine) installed in windows i'm under Active Directory (maybe helps), with network 192.168.2.x After Ubuntu installation (LAMP), i have: Ubuntu Ip set to 10.0.2.15 (dhcp) Vista pings Ubuntu and Ubuntu pings Vista (only IPs, not names) Can't connect to Apache (default install ubuntu server) at the url h**p://10.0.2.15/ On Ubuntu, testing Apache by doing 'wget http://10.0.2.15/' works Tried to setup samba, writing a share def, but nothing, i can't access from Vista to Ubuntu My scope is: Setting up samba to work on files from windows Reaching apache to test web pages Ok i'm not completely noob (but i'm on the noob way anyway) and i've tried many solutions, so please try to help me; let's look together what went wrong :)
