• Java equivalent of C++ std::map?

  I'm looking for a Java class with the characteristics of C++ std::map's usual implementation (as I understand it, a self-balancing binary search tree): O(log n) performance for insertion/removal/search Each element is composed of a unique key and a mapped value Keys follow a strict weak ordering I'm looking for implementations with open source or design documents; I'll probably end up rolling my own support for primitive keys/values. This question's style is similar to: Java equivalent of std::deque, whose answer was "ArrayDeque from Primitive Collections for Java".

  I am wondering is there any sort of C# class or 3rd party library that removes dangerous characters such as script tags? I know you can use regex but I also know people can write their script tags so many ways that you can fool the regex into thinking it is OK. I also heard that HTML Agility Pack is good so I am wondering is there any script removal class made for it?

• C# Dispose() -clarification

  When i call object.Dispose(); Will CLR immediately destroy the object from memory or mark the object for removal in it's next cycle?. We are calling GC.SuppressFinalize() immediately after Dispose(),Does it mean ,"Don't collect the object again for dispose,because it is already submitted to displose". Actually which generation is responsible for destruction ,i guess generation 2.

  Windows 8 has a new feature that allows you to automatically run scheduled daily maintenance on your computer. These maintenance tasks run in the background and include security updating and scanning, Windows software updates, disk defragmentation, system diagnostics, among other tasks. We’ve previously shown you how to automate maintenance in Windows 7, Vista, and XP. Windows 8 maintenance is automatic by default and the performance and energy efficiency has been improved over Windows 7. The program for Windows 8 automatic maintenance is called MSchedExe.exe and it is located in the C:\Windows\System32 directory. We will show you how you can change the automatic maintenance settings in Windows 8 and how you can start and stop the maintenance manually.   There are a wide variety of Linux distributions, but there are also a wide variety of distributions based on other Linux distributions. • Motion Sensing Fog Machine Increases Savings and Spook Factor

  This DIY add-on switches a standard fog machine from always-on to motion-activated–increase your savings and spook factor at the same time. Courtesy of tinker Greg, this modification involves a new relay and motion sensor mounted onto the existing switch of a store-bought fog machine. When the motion-sensor detects motion the fog machine releases a burst of fog for 5 seconds and then disarms itself for 10 seconds–long enough for the startled victim to move on and for the machine to recharge for the next passerby.
