• Internet Explorer cannot download rss.php

  Whenever I try to go to an RSS feed in IE7 directly, I get a very strange error. IE 7 tries to download the page, but fails. It throws an error, Internet Explorer cannot download rss.php from www.example.com. Internet Explorer was not able to open this Internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later. But when I click a link to view the same feed, it doesn't throw an error but displays the XML instead. Are there any ways I caan fix this, that don't involve OS hacks? Also, if I try to put an xsl stylesheet on it, it tries to download the file no matter what and still errors.

• Saving a .xls file with fwrite

  hi guys, I have to create a script that takes a mySQL table, and exports it into .XSL format, and then saves that file into a specified folder on the web host. I got it working, but now I can't seem to get it to automatically save the file to the location without prompting the user. It needs to run every day at a specified time, so it can save the previous days leads into a .XSL file on the web host. • XSLT Select all nodes containing a specific substing

  I'm trying to write an XPath that will select certain nodes that contain a specific word. In this case the word is, "Lockwood". The correct answer is 3. Both of these paths give me 3. count(//*[contains(./*,'Lockwood')]) count(BusinessLetter/*[contains(../*,'Lockwood')]) But when I try to output the text of each specific node //*[contains(./*,'Lockwood')][1] //*[contains(./*,'Lockwood')][2] //*[contains(./*,'Lockwood')][3] Node 1 ends up containing all the text and nodes 2 and 3 are blank. Can some one please tell me what's happening or what I'm doing wrong.   I have to select only unique records from an XML document, in the context of an <xsl:for-each> loop. As indicated above, each item contains other elements that we do not wish to include in the comparison. 'Uniqueness' should be a factor of those three elements, and those alone. I have attempted to accomplish this through the following: availList/item[not(schDate = preceding:: schDate and schFrmTime = preceding:: schFrmTime and schToTime = preceding:: schToTime)] The idea behind this is to select records where there is no preceding element with the same schDate, schFrmTime and schToTime. However, its output is missing the last item. This is because my XPath is actually excluding items where all of the child element values are matched within the entire preceding document. No single item matches all of the last item's child elements - but because each element's value is individually present in another item, the last item gets excluded. I could get the correct result by comparing all child values as a concatenated string to the same concatenated values for each preceding item. Does anybody know of a way I could do this?

• Sharepoint RSS feed description fields as elements

  Hello, This is my first time working with RSS but I am fluent with XML/XSL. I have a RSS feed that I am pulling from a list in Sharepoint. The sample XML is below. The RSS description element parses the various columns (Body, Expires, Attachments) that are in the Sharepoint list automatically. I know that from the list I can control which fields are included in the description, but this is not what I am looking to do. Is there any way to force the fields to come through in an XML element format instead of the CDATA that converted to HTML? For example, I may want to check a priority field and if it is important when applying the XSL I would bold red it or something. • UIVIew layout and orientation changes

  Hi, I am supporting all orientation for the iPad app. I am adjusting the my view with autoresizingMask for orienttaion changes (main view and tabbar) . But the subviews in the main view are flowing out of the mainview in landscape mode. so i forced a "setNeedsLayout for the mainview, making subviews in mainview to fit into the mainview boundary. But the issues is that subviews added in the lower part fo mainview are not responding to touches in landscape mode, but working fine with portrait mode. Any F1 ?

  The text-based Smart Game Format has become the sole file format for exchanging Go game records by now. I stared with disbelieve that there are almost no parsers available. Google yielded a few results in antique Java and Python, but no modern implementations. I am curious if I have to write my own parser. Do you know of a modern implementation in C# or Java? In case there really are no parsers available, how should I implement one? Are there general guidelines or tools (in a C# environment) I should know of? • High volume SVM (machine learning) system

  I working on a possible machine learning project that would be expected to do high speed computations for machine learning using SVM (support vector machines) and possibly some ANN. I'm resonably comfortable working on matlab with these, but primarly in small datasets, just for experimentation. I'm wondering if this matlab based approach will scale? or should i be looking into something else? C++ / gpu based computing? java wrapping of the matlab code and pushing it onto app engine? Incidentally, there seems to be a lot fo literature on GPUs, but not much on how useful they are on machine learning applications using matlab, & the cheapest CUDA enlabled GPU money can buy? is it even worth the trouble?

  Say I have a hashmap, $hash = array('fox' => 'some value', 'fort' => 'some value 2', 'fork' => 'some value again); I am trying to accomplish an autocomplete feature. When the user types 'fo', I would like to retrieve, via ajax, the 3 keys from $hash. When the user types 'for', I would like to only retrieve the keys fort and fork. Is this possible? What I was thinking was using binary search to isolate the keys with 'f', instead of brute-force searching. Then continue eliminating the indexes as the user types out their query. Is there a more efficient solution to this?

• mod_rewrite to find missing /img/foo.jpg in /img/f/

  I've got a folder of images which is reaching a critical mass after a few years. I want to move images into alphabetical folders, so that /img/foo.jpg goes into /img/f/foo.jpg and /img/bar.jpg goes into /img/b/bar.jpg and so on. In order to make the transition smooth, and to allow the manual uploaders to put stuff into the top level, I'd like to use mod_rewrite to do this: if /img/foo.jpg exists, serve it up, if not look for it in /img/f/foo.jpg thanks for any suggestions. For the record, no, I don't think we need to go /img/f/fo/foo.jpg just yet.

I have a few questions about jpa + spring integration running on tomcat, i've been looking fo some time and couldn't find any concrete answer, so here it goes: Is it possible to have spring to inject the JPA entityManager object into my DAO class without extending JpaDaoSupport? if yes, does spring manage the transaction in this case? • Can I install WhizzyTeX for Emacs on a Mac (is Mac OS X a unix environment)?

  I think my question is pretty stupid, but here it goes: I am using Aquamacs, and I want to install the WhizzyTeX mode. The website for WhizzyTeX says that "it is designed for Unix platforms". I read that Mac OS X is unix certified, but does that mean I can install WhizzyTeX on my mac? If yes, can I install and use it with Aquamacs or do I have to use the Emacs running from the terminal? PS: I don't know whether this question should be posted here or on SuperUser, but as Emacs users seem to hang out here more often, this is the place I chose. EDIT: There are some websites saying I can use WhizzyTeX with Carbon Emacs on mac os x, but some places say I cannot (see for example this pdf document, page 27, which says that "* whizzytex: http://cristal.inria.fr/whizzytex/ mode in latex with ocaml good fo linux, should also work in cygwin, doe not work on osx"). So I am really confused...

  I have script: http://jsfiddle.net/NV2uV/ It works, but I do not like. Cons: Wrench (edge blocks). In the transition from one unit to another - animation is performed in two steps (I want a continuous animation). Script code is not beautiful, very much repetition. In short - it looks not nice. How to improve the script to look at the animation and it was good fo eyes (if you have ready-made solutions - please note me). Update: If you set the animation smaller - that animation looks quite nice.

  Hi guys, i am looking for efficient task management fo C# what i mean by task management is executing pre-defined interval time of task. Example: task a needs to be run every 1 mins task b needs to be run every 3 mins task c needs to be run every 5 mins these tasks can be added and removed in arbitary time... And the task that i mentioned can be 100000 or more... The task will bw executed forever until it is removed... Do u guys familiar with this kind of algorithm?   I started web development in LAMP/WAMP and it was logical to me . There is a Web Server program called Apache which does the networking part of setting up a service on port 80 ( common port ) . If the request is regular HTML it uses the HTTP headers to transport files .And if the request for the file is a PHP one , it has a mod_php with which Apache invokes the PHP interpreter to process the file and it gives back HTML which is again transferred as usual HTML . Now the question is what is a Web Framework ? I came across Python based website creation and there is Flask . What is a flask , how does it compare with LAMP . Further are DJango / Ruby on Rails different from flask ? Can someone answer me and also give some good places to read on these .Thanks for your answers in advance . Further is things like LAMP slower than the common FRAMEWORKS because they claimn easy deplyment fo web apps .

  Hello, I am trying to use regular expression to search a document fo a UUID number and replace the end of it with a new number. The code I have so far is: read_file = open('test.txt', 'r+') write_file = open('test.txt', 'w') r = re.compile(r'(self.uid\s*=\s*5EFF837F-EFC2-4c32-A3D4\s*)(\S+)') for l in read_file: m1 = r.match(l) if m1: new=(str,m1.group(2)) new?????? This where I get stuck. The file test.txt has the below UUID stored in it: self.uid = '5EFF837F-EFC2-4c32-A3D4-D15C7F9E1F22' I want to replace the part D15C7F9E1F22. I have also tried this: r = re.compile(r'(self.uid\s*=\s*)(\S+)') for l in fp: m1 = r.match(l) new=map(int,m1.group(2).split("-") new[4]='RHUI5345JO' But I cannot seem to match the string.   I'm looking for a tool to nicely generate single-page PDFs. My needs are: Able to put a PDF/EPS/... as a background Absolute positioning Able to define tables, lists Able to rotate blocks Reasonably easy syntax (will be used to automatically generate many similar looking documents) Easily usable from Python Free or very cheap In essence I'm looking for the tool X that is to OODraw/CorelDraw/... as LaTeX is to OOWrite/MS Word. I've looked at webkit2pdf and a headless OODraw, but both seem a bit of an overkill. XML-FO has some limitations such as not being able to predict how many pages your document spans. Reportlab is pricey. Any ideas? Thanks!

  Is it somehow possible to identify unused variables in a PHP file in Emacs? With other languages, this is possible by using tools such as flymake. I've already enabled Flymake to show syntax errors for my PHP files on the fly, but still it's frustrating that PHP logic errors are sometimes due to situations like: <?php $foo = whatever(); $bar = something($fo); ... Note the typo on $foo that will contribute to the developer's headache and to his exorbitant use of coffee.

BIO *in = NULL, *out = NULL, *tbio = NULL; X509 *scert = NULL; EVP_PKEY *skey = NULL; PKCS7 *p7 = NULL; .......................... .......................... **p7 = PKCS7_sign(scert, skey, NULL, in, flags);** I don't know how can we get digital signature from PKCS7 object to put it into specific variable. • Convert PHP date into javascript date format

  I have a PHP script that outputs an array of data. This is then transformed into JSON using the json_encode() function. My issue is I have a date within my array and its is not in the correct javascript format. How can I convert this within PHP so it is? $newticket['ThreadID'] = $addticket; $newticket['Subject'] = $subject; //$newticket['DateCreated'] = date('d-m-Y G:H'); Instead of the above fo rthe date I need the equivilant of the javascript function new Date() When I output the above I get the following "Fri Jun 01 2012 11:08:48 GMT+0100 (GMT Daylight Time)" However, If I format my PHP date to be the same, javascript rejects it. Confused... Can anyone help?

• Padding a string in Postgresql with rpad without truncating it

  Using Postgresql 8.4, how can I right-pad a string with blanks without truncating it when it's too long? The problem is that rpad truncates the string when it is actually longer than number of characters to pad. Example: SELECT rpad('foo', 5); ==> 'foo ' -- fine SELECT rpad('foo', 2); ==> 'fo' -- not good, I want 'foo' instead. The shortest solution I found doesn't involve rpad at all: SELECT 'foo' || repeat(' ', 5-length('foo')); ==> 'foo ' -- fine SELECT 'foo' || repeat(' ', 2-length('foo')); ==> 'foo' -- fine, too but this looks ugly IMHO. Note that I don't actually select the string 'foo' of course, instead I select from a column: SELECT colname || repeat(' ', 30-length(colname)) FROM mytable WHERE ... Is there a more elegant solution?

• Regex to test if an input string contains a certain number of characters

  So, I basically would like to test to see if a string contains a range of alphanumeric characters. It's to be used as a client-side validation and I don't want to prevent users from entering whatever they want. Best to give examples of what should/should not pass validation: So to be specific, the expression I'm looking for is to test to make sure string contains anywhere from 3 to 10 alphanumeric characters. I'd like to plug into an ASP.NET client side validator. NOTE: quotes not part of input (but could be!) " f o o " should pass since there are 3 chars "f_0_0" should pass " fo " should not "F......o......o......b.....a......r" should pass thx
