"Unable to initialize module" fileinfo php-pecl-Fileinfo.x86_64

I have a brand new server server that I am trying to get setup up. This is a 64 bit machine that I can not install "fileinfo" or "memcache". I have uninstalled these and reinstalled them using yum and pecl with no luck. Yum install fine "no error" but then get error when running php. pecl from what I can tell is only installing 32bit. Does not put anything in the lib64 directory. Compile PHP 5.3.2 with intl extension on Snow Leopard 10.6.3

Does anyone have some tips on compiling PHP's intl extension on PHP? I'm getting compile errors each way I try it and I've been googling for ages and getting nowhere. Any help greatly appreciated. Enable Soap for PHP 5.5.x on CentOS 6.5

Unfortunately I have to support soap on my server for the Fedex webservice. I recompiled PHP enabling support and it works via CLI but not PHP-fpm. They both point to the same ini file and both show the module loaded, but only CLI shows the configuration values. PHP-FPM issue on LEMP Stack and WordPress

I'm very much a NGINX and Server Admin beginner. I used this tutorial to install NGINX / PHP / mySQL / WordPress: C3M Digital Tutorial In this tutorial the backend php-cgi setup is configured using fastcgi. php5-fpm was installed during this tutorial: apt-get install nginx-full php5-fpm php5 php5-mysql php5-apc php5-mysql php5-xsl php5-xmlrpc php5-sqlite php5-snmp php5-curl After reading that the NGINX configuration on the WordPress codec was more secure than most tutorials, I decided to use the codex configuration: WordPress NGINX configuration in Codex The Codex configuration uses php-fpm for backend php-cgi. When opening the browser I got a 502 Bad Gateway error. The error log was: "2012/06/10 21:18:27 [crit] 14009#0: *4 connect() to unix:/tmp/php-fpm.sock failed (2: No such file or directory) while connecting to upstream, client: 12.3.456.789, server: mywebsite.com, request: "GET / HTTP/1.1", upstream: "fastcgi://unix:/tmp/php-fpm.sock:", hos t: "mywebsite.com"" In the main NGINX configuration file supplied by the codex I noticed the line starting "server unix:" in the upstream php block which point to the empty directory: # Upstream to abstract backend connection(s) for PHP. upstream php { server unix:/tmp/php-fpm.sock; # server 127.0.0.1:9000; } I checked the folder at /tmp and it was empty. Seems I missed configuring php-fpm to play with NGINX. Can someone point me in the right direction? Much appreciated!

Compiling PHP with GD and libjpeg support

I compile my own PHP, partly to learn more about how PHP is put together, and partly because I'm always finding I need modules that aren't available by default, and this way I have control over that. My problem is that I can't get JPEG support in PHP. Using CentOS 5.6. Here are my configuration options when compiling PHP 5.3.8: './configure' '--enable-fpm' '--enable-mbstring' '--with-mysql' '--with-mysqli' '--with-gd' '--with-curl' '--with-mcrypt' '--with-zlib' '--with-pear' '--with-gmp' '--with-xsl' '--enable-zip' '--disable-fileinfo' '--with-jpeg-dir=/usr/lib/' The ./configure output says: checking for GD support... yes checking for the location of libjpeg... no checking for the location of libpng... no checking for the location of libXpm... no And then we can see that GD is installed, but that JPEG support isn't there: # php -r 'print_r(gd_info());' Array ( [GD Version] => bundled (2.0.34 compatible) [FreeType Support] => [T1Lib Support] => [GIF Read Support] => 1 [GIF Create Support] => 1 [JPEG Support] => [PNG Support] => 1 [WBMP Support] => 1 [XPM Support] => [XBM Support] => 1 [JIS-mapped Japanese Font Support] => ) I know that PHP needs to be able to find libjpeg, and it obviously can't find a version it's happy with. I would have thought /usr/lib/libjpeg.so or /usr/lib/libjpeg.so.62 would be what it needs, but I supplied it with the correct lib directory (--with-jpeg-dir=/usr/lib/) and it doesn't pick them up so I guess they can't be the right versions. rpm says libjpeg is installed. Should I yum remove and reinstall it, and all it's dependent packages? Might that fix the problem? .NET not processing an XML file in IIS

We have 2 servers, 1 already configured with .net which works fine and a new one which appears to be configured the same but when I open an xml page in Internet Explorer it complains about the <% tag. We have IIS on win srvr 2003 SP2. The website is configured with .NET 1.1.4322. In ISAPI extensions have set the .XML extension to use c:\windows\microsoft.net\framework\v1.1.4322\aspnet_isapi.dll But the page: <property name="documentmaxage" value="0"/> <property name="documentmaxstale" value="0"/> <var name="m_Prompt_Path" /> <form id="InitVoiceXmlDoc"> <block> <assign name="m_Prompt_Path" expr=""<% Response.Write(Request.QueryString["m_Prompt_Path"]); %>""/> </block> </form> gives the error: The XML page cannot be displayed Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later. The character '<' cannot be used in an attribute value. Error processing resource 'http://localhost:11119/fails.xml'. Lin... &quo... We have the same config on another server which works fine. So are there other options apart from the ISAPI extensions that I need to look at. If I suffix the page .aspx, of course it works fine.

I am running a Symphony installation out of the directory symphony but I want to remove that word from the URL in specific cases. When a user visits http://domain.com/demo It should go to http://domain.com/symphony/demo because I've added a specific rule for demo. If I haven't added a specific rule for demo in the .htaccess, then it should resolve to http://domain.com/demo as typed. PHP 5.4.9 Mysqli issue

On Ubuntu 12.04 server I had PHP 5.4.9 installed from the source: ./configure --prefix=/etc/php --with-apxs2=/etc/apache2/bin/apxs --with-config-file-path=/etc/php --with-config-file-scan-dir=/etc/php/conf.d --with-libxml-dir=/usr/local/libxml2 --with-xsl=/usr/local/libxslt --with-mysql --with-zlib --with-pdo-mysql --enable-calendar --with-gd --with-iconv-dir --enable-mbstring --enable-soap --enable-sockets --enable-zip --with-curl --with-openssl --with-kerberos --with-tidy' Then, using apt-get, I had mysql server and phpMyAdmin installed. Unfortunatelly phpMyAdmin keep saying that 'mysqli' and 'mcrypt' not installed. php -m | grep mysqli just confirms it. So I tried to install mysqli with "apt-get install php5-mysqli", but just got message to do it by means of "php5-mysqlnd" or "php5-mysql". Even though they are already installed (according to phpinfo()) I tried - doesn't work. However, in php.ini, there's mysqli staff like "extension=php_mysqli.dll", but no "extension=mysqli.so". And block [MySQLi] with some uncommented settings also present. Since this is my first attempt to build php from source I reckon I did some silly mistake. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Apache DAV at `/` with normal hosting at `/foo` - how?

Should I not be able to have a configuration where I serve SVN repos with SVNParentPath at <Location /> and then override DAV and host normal files using another location <Location /foo>? I wish to host my XSLT files on the same subdomain and still host repos at root. Error compiling PHP 5.5.9 on CentOS 6.5 during make command

Here is the error message: cc: internal compiler error: Killed (program cc1) Please submit a full bug report, with preprocessed source if appropriate. See <file:///usr/share/doc/gcc-4.6/README.Bugs> for instructions. make: *** [ext/fileinfo/libmagic/apprentice.lo] Error 1 The very last thing make was processing is apprentice.lo which appears to be part of the image manipulation libraries (maybe?). I am using Ansible to provision my instance. It is a Digital Ocean single core 512MB VM. I have been using vagrant / ansible with the same config locally for dev and it has compiled fine, this is the first cloud VM I am attempting to provision. The only difference is the base image for my DO server is coming from DO and for my local dev, I built my own Vagrant box via VirtualBox from a stock CentOS basic server install. I pull it down from my DropBox. Nginx order of servers

I have 3 sites on my server. All are running on gunicorn and use unix sockets to communicate with nginx which routes requests. I got three records in nginx.conf like: server { listen 80; server_name site1.com; location / { proxy_pass http://unix:/tmp/site1.sock; proxy_redirect off; proxy_set_header Host $host; proxy_set_header X-Real-IP $remote_addr; proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-For $proxy_add_x_forwarded_for; } } For site1, site2, site3. If they are ordered as config for site1 goes first, and then goes config for site2 and site3 everything works good. But when I change the order for example to site2, site1, site3, then site1 becomes routed to site2. What am I doing wrong? Confused about C++'s std::wstring, UTF-16, UTF-8 and displaying strings in a windows GUI

I'm working on a english only C++ program for Windows where we were told "always use std::wstring", but it seems like nobody on the team really has much of an understanding beyond that. I already read the question titled "std::wstring VS std::string. It was very helpful, but I still don't quite understand how to apply all of that information to my problem. The program I'm working on displays data in a Windows GUI. That data is persisted as XML. We often transform that XML using XSLT into HTML or XSL:FO for reporting purposes. My feeling based on what I have read is that the HTML should be encoded as UTF-8. I know very little about GUI development, but the little bit I have read indicates that the GUI stuff is all based on UTF-16 encoded strings. I'm trying to understand where this leaves me. Say we decide that all of our persisted data should be UTF-8 encoded XML. Does this mean that in order to display persisted data in a UI component, I should really be performing some sort of explicit UTF-8 to UTF-16 transcoding process? I suspect my explanation could use clarification, so I'll try to provide that if you have any questions.

I saw another example elsewhere, that suggested the following approach :TestFile ren c:\file.txt c:\file.txt if errorlevel 0 goto docopy sleep 5 goto TestFile :docopy However this example is good for a fixed file. How can I use that many labels and GoTo's inside a for loop without causing an infinite loop? Or is this code safe to be used in the For Loop? Thank you for any help.

Compiling Visual c++ programs from the command line and msvcr90.dll

Hi, When I compile my Visual c++ 2008 express program from inside the IDE and redistribute it on another computer, It starts up fine without any dll dependencies that I haven't accounted for. When I compile the same program from the visual c++ 2008 command line under the start menu and redistribute it to the other computer, it looks for msvcr90.dll at start-up. His code is hard to understand but I managed to understand (and rewrite) most of it. They are named after their UNIX counterparts and do some basic testing so that the application does not need to bother with that.

Is there a better (i.e vectorised) way to put part of a column name into a row of a data frame in R

I have a data frame in R that has come about from running some stats on the result fo a melt/cast operation. I want to add a row into this dataframe containing a Nominal value. That Nominal Value is present in the names for each column df<-as.data.frame(cbind(x=c(1,2,3,4,5),`Var A_100`=c(5,4,3,2,1),`Var B_5`=c(9,8,7,6,5))) > df x Var A_100 Var B_5 1 1 5 9 2 2 4 8 3 3 3 7 4 4 2 6 5 5 1 5 So, I want to create a new row, that contains '100' in the column Var A_100 and '5' in Var B_5. Design PDF template and populate data at runtime using java,xml etc..

well i have been looking for a java based PDF solutions...we dont have a clean way i guess-still.. all solutions are primitive and kind of workarounds... No easy solution for this requirement - 1. Designing a PDF template using a IDE (eg. Livecycle designer ..which is not free) 2. Then at runtime using java, populate data into this PDF template...either using xml or other datasources... such a simple requirement and NONE has a good "open-source and free" solution yet ! Is anyone aware of any ? I have been searching for since 3-4 years now..for a clean way out... Eclipse BIRT comes close.. but does not handle Barcode elements ..OOB. Jasper - ireport is also good but that tool does not have a table concept and is kind of annoying ! Also barcode support is not good. XSL-FO has not free IDE for design . Looking for a better answer .. got one ?

JQuery submit form and output response or error message

I want to submit form and show message about result. update_records initializes alert_message to error message. If success I expect that its value is changed. Than update_records outputs message. But the function always alerts "Error submitting form". What is wrong with this? What's the best way to retrieve two pieces of data from an XML file?

I've got an XML document that is in either a pre or post FO transformed state that I need to extract some information from. In the pre-case, I need to pull out two tags that represent the pageWidth and pageHeight and in the post case I need to extract the page-height and page-width parameters from a specific tag (I forget which one it is off the top of my head). What I'm looking for is an efficient/easily maintainable way to grab these two elements. I'd like to only read the document a single time fetching the two things I need. I initially started writing something that would use BufferedReader + FileReader, but then I'm doing string searching and it gets messy when the tags span multiple lines. I then looked at the DOMParser, which seems like it would be ideal, but I don't want to have to read the entire file into memory if I could help it as the files could potentially be large and the tags I'm looking for will nearly always be close to the top of the file. I then looked into SAXParser, but that seems like a big pile of complicated overkill for what I'm trying to accomplish. Anybody have any advice? Or simple implementations that would accomplish my goal? Thanks.
