• How to grey out spinner in Android?

  I use two Spinner in my App. One of them is initially disabled because I need the user to select something in the first spinner to load the content of the second one. I would like to change the design of the second spinner to show the user that the spinner is not active, eg. grey the spinner out. How can I achieve this? If this is not possible how would you change this dialog to make it clear to the user that she has to select something in the first spinner?

• jquery, changing form action

  i cannot seem to find the answer to this. i uploaded code to pastebin (so wouldnt clutter up the post): http://pastebin.com/BhnNTnJM but the action only changes for the delete form (id=form-horse-delete) and not the other 2 forms located on the page. i am at my wits end trying to figure out why it doesn't work for the 2 forms, yet will work for the 1 form. in IE, if i try and change the action of the 2 forms, it gives a javascript error. but if i take out the change, it works fine with no javascript error.

  Hi, I want to change the build system path for building my VC++ project in VS2005. When I try to build the project, I'm getting an error that a specified header file cannot be opened. I have that header file in "Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v7.0\Include". But the path present in 'Build system path' is "Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v7.0\Include" which i found in the Error dialog box when i tried to open that header file through the code. So I want to change the path in build system path to "Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v7.0\Include". How can i do this.? How to open Build system paths in VS2005.?

• How do I rotate only some views when working with a uinavigationcontroller as a tab of a uitabbarcon

  Here is a flow that I can not figure out how to work. ( when I state (working) it means that in that current state the rules for orientation for that view are working correctly) First View: TableView on the stack of a UINavigationController that is a tab of UITabBarController. TableView is only allowed to be portrait. (working) When you rotate the TableView to landscape a modal comes up with a custom UIView that is like a coverflow (which i'll explain the problem there in a moment). A Selection made on tableview pushes a UIScrollview on to the stack. UIScrollView is allowed all orientations. (working) When UIScrollView is in landscape mode and the user hits back they are taken to the custom UIView that is like the coverflow and only allows landscape. The problem is here. Because the UIScrollView allows full rotation it permitted the TableView to rotate as well to landscape. I have a method attached to a notification "UIDeviceOrientationDidChangeNotification" that checks to see if the custom view is the current controller and if it is and if the user has rotated back to portrait I need to pop the custom view and show the table view. The table view has to rotate back to portrait, which really is okay as long as the user doesn't see it. When I create custom animations it works pretty good except for some odd invisible black box that seems to rotate with the device right before I fade out the customview to the tableview. Further inorder to ensure that my tableview will rotate to portrait I have to allow the customview to support all orientations because the system looks to the current view (in my code) as to whether or not that app is allowed to rotate to a certain orientation. Because of this I many proposed solutions will show the customview rotating to portrait as the table view comes back to focus. My other problem is very similar. If you are viewing the tableview and rotate the modalview of the customview is presented. When you make a selection on this view it pushes the UIScrollview onto the stack, but because the Tableview only supports portrait the UIScrollview comes in in portrait while the device is in landscape mode. How can I overcome these awful blocks? This is my current attempt: When it comes to working with UITabBarController the system really only cares what the tabbarcontroller has to say about rotation. Currently whenever a view loads it reports it supported orientations. It is responsible for poping the customview and showing the tableview. There are two different versions in place that originally were for two different versions of the SDK but both are pretty close to solutions. The reason the first is not supported on 3.0 is for some reason you can't have a view showing and then showen as a modal view. Not sure if that is a bug or a feature.   I have implemented a REST server using Spring Boot 1.0.2. I'm having trouble preventing Spring from setting HTTP headers that disable HTTP caching. Set property spring.resources.cache-period to -1 or a positive value in application.properties. None of the above have had any effect. How do I disable or change these headers for all or individual requests in Spring Boot?

• Viewstate is setting control values incorrectly.

  I have a page with several checkboxes on it. The checkboxes correlate to user permissions so when I change users and the page refreshes, the values of the checkboxes should change since each user is different. In spite of the fact that my code sets the value of the checkbox, viewstate or whatever changes the values to what the previous user's values were. I tried chk.EnableViewState = false; but that did not help. I set EnableViewState="false" EnableViewStateMac="false" EnableEventValidation="false" in the page directives, but that doesn't help. The only way I have been able to fix this is to add a unique value to the controls so that their names are always different. I am sure it's an issue of ignorance. Thank you for your help. There is no databinding per se. When the page loads I am creating the textboxes and setting their values via code.

• Problems debugging virtual host with Netbeans

  I'm running Ubuntu 9.10 I installed apache2 and downloaded the php 5.3.2 tar.gz, untarred and compiled. I then installed xdebug via pecl. After that I installed mysql-server and PhpMyAdmin. PhpMyAdmin can change apache2 settings, and now, xdebug is no longer included in my phpinfo(); overview. I've done a search for all possible php.ini files, but the 2 that I've found both link the xdebug.so file correctly. Yet still, Xdebug won't show. I have used and tested /etc/php5/php.ini and that worked, but it seems apache is now using a different php.ini file, and I don't know how to change that setting. Can anyone tell me how to bring it back to what it used to be? Also, installing apache, php and Xdebug was something I did by use of this video: http://vimeo.com/8005503

• What exactly is the "Multi-threaded Debug DLL" Runtime Library option doing in VS 2008?

  I have a solution in VS 2008 that creates a DLL. I then use that DLL in another application. If I go in to the DLL projects property pages and change the following configuration for a DEBUG build then the built dll no long provides the desired functionality. If I change it back and rebuild the DLL, then the DLL does provide the correct functionality: Property Pages = Configuration Properties = C/C++ = Code Generation = Runtime Library If set to "Multi-threaded Debug DLL (/MDd)" then everything works as it should. I get the correct functionality from the DLL If set to "Multi-threaded DLL (/MD)" then the DLL does not function properly...no runtime errors or anything, it just doesn't work (The DLL is supposed to plot some lines on a map but does not in this mode). So the question is, why does using the /MDd flag result in correction functionality of the underlying code, while /MD results in incorrect functionality? A little background...somebody else developed the DLL in C++ and I am using this DLL in a VB.net application.

The initial and default configuration is very easy, but how do I swap configuration files after code is checked out and before unit tests are run. I am using TFS, NUnit. 1. When working locally I have configuration file pointing to local server. 2. On the build server TeamCity get's notification that I have checked-in code and builds new version. 3. Server runs unit tests When on 3rd step server runs unit tests I need to swap configuration files that are pointing to other servers, not the ones I am using locally.   Fellows, I'm going crazy with looks like a really stupid problem. I'm trying to build a simple example using PostSharp as a log AOP utility. I've not installed PostSharp, and I don't want to, I want to reference the necessaries DLLs, change my .csproj and see everything working. Change the project and add references was kind of easy, byt just after adding the LogAttribute to a method I got two errors: Error 1 'Log4PostSharp.LogAttribute' is not an attribute class C:\Dev\LogWithPostsharp\LogWithPostsharpCmd\Program.cs 17 10 LogWithPostsharpCmd Error 2 The type 'PostSharp.Extensibility.MulticastAttribute' is defined in an assembly that is not referenced. You must add a reference to assembly 'PostSharp.Public, Version=1.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b13fd38b8f9c99d7'. C:\Dev\LogWithPostsharp\LogWithPostsharpCmd\Program.cs 18 22 LogWithPostsharpCmd The first error really looks like consequence of the second, but here is the deal: the PostSharp.Public.* simply doesn't exist in the downloaded .zip.   I have a Django application in which I want to change a field from a ForeignKey to a ManyToManyField. I want to preserve my old data. What is the simplest/best process to follow for this? If it matters, I use sqlite3 as my database back-end. If my summary of the problem isn't clear, here is an example. • Generate POCO classes in different project to the project with Entity Framework model

  I'm trying to use the Repository Pattern with EF4 using VS2010. To this end I am using POCO code generation by right clicking on the entity model designer and clicking Add code generation item. I then select the POCO template and get my classes. What I would like to be able to do is have my solution structured into separate projects for Entity (POCO) classes and another project for the entity model and repository code. This means that my MVC project could use the POCO classes for strongly typed views etc and not have to know about the repository or have to have a reference to it. To plug it all together I will have another separate project with interfaces and use IoC. Sounds good in my head I just don't know how to generate the classes into their own project! I can copy them and then change the namespaces on them but I wanted to avoid manual work whenever I change the schema in the db and want to update my model. Thanks

  I've just upgraded to .NET 4 and my ASP.NET Chart Control no longer displays. For .NET 3.5, the HTML produced by the control used to look like this: <img id="20_Chart" src="/ChartImg.axd?i=chart_5f6a8fd179a246a5a0f4f44fcd7d5e03_0.png&amp;g=16eb7881335e47dcba16fdfd8339ba1a" alt="" style="height:300px;width:300px;border-width:0px;" /> and now, for .NET 4, it looks like this (note the change in the source path): <img id="20_Chart" src="/Statistics/Summary/ChartImg.axd?i=chart_5f6a8fd179a246a5a0f4f44fcd7d5e03_0.png&amp;g=16eb7881335e47dcba16fdfd8339ba1a" alt="" style="height:300px;width:300px;border-width:0px;" /> The chart is in an MVC partial view that is in an MVC Area folder called "Statistics" and a MVC Views folder called "Summary" (i.e. "/Areas/Statistics/Views/Summary"), so this is obviously where the change of path is coming from. All I've done is to switch the System.Web.DataVisualization assembly from, 3.5 to 4.0. Any help greatly appreciated.

• Windows 7 Login User Doesn't Exist [closed]

  I have another interesting issue... because of some issue with a lost password, I had to manually change the password to one of the accounts via and DOS hack. However, somehow in the process I now have a phantom username that I am asked to logon to when Windows first starts... This username doesn't exit. In order to login, I have to "change user" and manually type in the correct username. Is there a way that I can edit which username it prompts me for? I'd like to repair this without having to reinstall just yet.

  I need to integrate an off-the-shelf Windows application with a Java application. At a few key points, I need the Windows application to send an "event" and some data to the Java application. The Windows application anticipated this need, and can be configured to "Poke a DDE Item", "Set an OLE Auto-Property" or "Write an OPC Item". I'm already using JACOB to call COM methods and set COM properties on a COM object. However, I'm guessing that's pretty unrelated to these "event" notification capabilities. Anyone have any experience calling FROM a Windows application to a "DDE Item", "OLE Auto-Property" or "OPC Item" that's actually in a JVM? Any pointers, advice, etc, would be appreciated.

  Hi There! I have a design problem . My application has multiple J2EE components ,In simple terms one acts as a service provider(Non UI) and others are consumers(UI webapp) . The consumer gets the configuration data from the service provider(this basically reads the data from DB) during the start up and stores it in the Cache. The cache gets refreshed after periodic time to reflect any changes done at the database. The Problem Apart from the cache refresh ,I also want to notify the consumers when someone changes the DB . that configuration has been changed please reload it.   I am writing large MS Word 2007 documents, which are often being changed. I have to number paragraphs with stationary unique numbers, that will not change while changing the documents. The numbers should be unique, and will not change even if previous numbers are deleted. The order of the list is not mandatory, and addition of a new number before existing numbers is possible (for instance: the sequence 1, 4, 3 means that paragraphs 1-3 were written, then #2 was deleted, then #5 was added. #3 was not affected by the later editing) The mechanism should be internal to the document, as I am working on line and off line. The numbers are allocated to every document individually. Since I don't know to program under MS Word, I'd appreciate getting a complete solution.

Can you guys let me know if there is a good way of handling this in LINQ to SQL? We use stored procedures for Insert, Update and Delete but use LINQ to SQL for all our selects (ease of use). Do I have to change the format for those tables with SSN or Is there any other manner we can handle it in LINQ to SQL? Thanks, Raja

• Regex: replace inner string

  I'm working with X12 EDI Files (Specifialy 835s for those of you in Health Care), and I have a particular vendor who's using a non-HIPAA compliant version (3090, I think). The problem is that in a particular segment (PLB- again, for those who care) they're sending a code which is no longer supported by the HIPAA Standard. I need to locate the specific code, and update it with a corrected code. I think a Regex would be best for this, but I'm still very new to Regex, and I'm not sure where to begin. My current methodology is to turn the file into an array of strings, find the array that starts with "PLB", break that into an array of strings, find the code, and change it. As you can guess, that's very verbose code for something which should be (I'd think) fairly simple. Here's a sample of what I'm looking for: ~PLB|1902841224|20100228|49KC15X078001104|.08~ And here's what I want to change it to: ~PLB|1902841224|20100228|CSKC15X078001104|.08~ Any suggestions?
