• How to keep MPMoviePlayerController open after movie ended?

  If I use MPMoviePlayerController to play video in my iPhone app, it opens, loads the movie, plays it and then closes. Is it possible to force it to stay open after the movie finishes, so that user can replay it using its controls, instead of using controls in parent view? Also, is it possible to start MPMoviePlayerController in the paused mode? thanks for any advice.

  With IMFMediaSource and IMFByteStreamHandler I can access bytes from media source to determine media type and audio/video stream parameters, such as duration, quality, number of streams, etc. But can I replace these bytes and send them back to client? E.g. I receive zip file bytestream, extract actual media and send another bytestream with asf (for example) data. Is this possible?

  I'm trying to get a very simple Flash video working using SWFembed, and it does work across multiple computers at this point in multiple browsers, but as soon as I pushed it live I got this: http://cl.ly/1EDS I've adjusted file permissions, but it is exactly the same code and files as in another directory on the server.   I watched a free high quality video with Aaron Hillegass about Core Data vs Tokyo Cabinet. Besides that this guy is amazingly funny (really, if you want to laugh now, watch it!), he shows off Tokyo Cabinet beeing about 40x faster than Core Data. I wonder if it's worth thinking about how to attach this to Core Data? Does that make any sense? Maybe as a custom atomic store or something like this?

  Hi, I'm looking to build an interactive web-based org chart for a large organization. I somewhat like the interface at ancestry.com where you can hover over people and pan/zoom around and click on different nodes to make them the root. Ideally, I'd like it if people could belong to multiple organizational entities like committees, working groups, etc. In other words the API should support graphs in general, not just trees. I'd like to be able to visually explode each organizational substructure into substituents by clicking on it, with a nice animation of the employees ballooning or spilling out so you can really interactively drill down through the organization. I found http://code.google.com/apis/visualization/documentation/gallery/orgchart.html but it looks a bit rudimentary. I know there are desktop tools like OrgPlus and Visio that can build static charts but I'm really looking for a free, web-based API with open standards-based output like SVG or HTML5 Canvas elements rather than Flash or some proprietary output. Something I can embed into a custom web application and style myself. Something interactive.

• Can i openly speculate based on App rejection that the iPad has xxx MB of memory?

  If i were to calculate the iPad's amount of RAM based on just the one fact that my iPad App got rejected due to memory warnings twice, and me fixing it, would this violate the developer NDA? Obviously i know how much memory my App uses, how much the iPhone OS is likely to use and estimate the amount reserved for video memory, then i can deduct from that that the iPad has xxx MB of memory. I just wonder if i can say that number publicly without violating any NDA?

If you have to create a screencast or promotional video of your Android application, the default skin of the emulator is no good.
