  • How do you compile a resource into the binary?

    How do you compile a resource into the binary in XCode? That way is doesn't show up inside the application bundle as a file and it's not subject to manipulation by a user (whether good-intentioned or bad). Is this even possible? I'm particularly interested about this in terms of iPhone apps. Any help is appreciated!

  • MS Access MSChart.Graph.8 not printing

    Software: Microsoft Access 2007 SP2 Database File Version: Access 2000 I have an access program that I inherited from a previous employee. It uses forms for reports and since I don't have much experience in access I have continued to do this. I have created a copy of the program for another project and modified it to suit. I am having trouble getting more then one chart to print. All the charts display in form view, they all have the same properties (excepting data, position, etc.) For some reason they are not printing. They don't even show up in the print preview. I am thinking it must be something with the graphs themselves as they sometimes lose all information. I have to open the graphs in edit mode and change the data source from column to row and back again so that it gets redrawn. (Refresh doesn't fix it) So right now I don't even have a clue as to where to look so ideas are welcome. Edit #1 It seems to be a problem with linking to an unbound form. Subform Field Linker: Can't build a link between unbound forms. Is there anything in printing that changes the context of records with respect to parent/child relationships?

    How can I perform this query on whatever way: delete from sys.tables where is_ms_shipped = 0 What happened is, I executed a very large query and I forgot to put USE directive on top of it, now I got a zillion tables on my master db, and don't want to delete them one by one. UPDATE: It's a brand new database, so I don't have to care about any previous data, the final result I want to achieve is to reset the master db to factory shipping.

To select all people with last names starting with a particular letter, let's say A for this example, I use the following query: SELECT * FROM db WHERE Name LIKE '% A%'. However, this also selects users who have a middle name starting with A. Is there anyway to alter this query so that only a last name starting in A will be selected?

    I am doing a PDO::exec command on multiple updates: $MyPdo->setAttribute(PDO::MYSQL_ATTR_USE_BUFFERED_QUERY,true); $MyPdo->exec("update t1 set f1=1;update t2 set f1=2"); I am doing it inside a transaction, and I keep getting: SQLSTATE[HY000]: General error: 2014 Cannot execute queries while other unbuffered queries are active. Consider using PDOStatement::fetchAll(). Alternatively, if your code is only ever going to run against mysql, you may enable query buffering by setting the PDO::MYSQL_ATTR_USE_BUFFERED_QUERY attribute. those are the only query/ies

And since Web Deployment Projects (WDP) tool is only used for manipulation the output created by aspnet_compiler.exe, I don’t understand how VS 2008 also has an option for using WDP with web application projects?!     Im developing an application which is dealing with the android contacts API. I implemented methods to insert, update and query contacts. So far everything worked (writing and reading contacts). At one point in my project Im experiencing a strange behaviour. I insert a contact using batch mode. I receive the URI to the RawContact. Both return no rows from the content provider. I tried it in the main thread and in another background thread. ctx.getContentResolver().query(ContactsContract.Data.CONTENT_URI, null, ContactsContract.Data.RAW_CONTACT_ID + " = ? AND " + ContactsContract.Data.MIMETYPE + " = ?", new String[] { contactID + "", ContactsContract.CommonDataKinds.StructuredName.CONTENT_ITEM_TYPE }, null); My first thought was that it could be related to the context.getContentResolver(). But the android documentation states, that the ContentResolver objects scope is the application's package, so you have on ContentResolver for the whole app. Am I right? What am I doing wrong? Why does the same rawContactUri return the contact at one place and does not on another place? And why do I get a lookup uri from a raw contact, which is not working at all?
