  So, I'm trying to send an smtp email from my website as a confirmation that their order has been place. The site is hosted on godaddy and I have no idea what's going on. I'm getting all kinds of error messages. The current one is: "System.Net.Mail.SmtpException: Mailbox name not allowed. The server response was: sorry, your mail was administratively denied. (#5.7.1)" My code is: string body = "Your order was placed"; MailMessage objEmail1 = new MailMessage("[email protected]", userEmail, "Confirmation Email", body); objEmail1.IsBodyHtml = true; SmtpClient client = new SmtpClient(); client.Host = "relay-hosting.secureserver.net"; client.UseDefaultCredentials = false; client.Send(objEmail1); I think the problem lies in the from address not belonging to godaddy or with the client.Host. Ideas?

• UITableView becomes invisible after changing data in it

  Hi I have application with TabBar that control several views. In one view i control connection to different servers.Each server provides different set of items. I display these items in UITableView on other view. I create table view like this UITableView * aTableView = [[UITableView alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(X,Y,Width,Height) style:UITableViewStyleGrouped]; [[self view] addSubview:aTableView]; aTableView.da taSource = self; The problem is that Table view displayed ok first time , but if i go back to view number one and change server(changing list of items that should be displayed in table view), table view becomes invisible for some reason. If i tap on the screen in place where it should be, its becomes visible again. Ive tried to call to reloadData and setNeedDisplay in viewWillAppear of the UIViewController that hosts this table view, but without success. Any advice? Thanks

  Greetings I am trying to get Mongoid to work with my Rails app and I am getting an error: "Mongoid::Errors::InvalidDatabase in 'Shipment bol should be unique' Database should be a Mongo::DB, not NilClass" I have created the mongoid.yml file in my config directory and have mongodb running as a daemon.   Is it an error to call dealloc on a UIViewController from a background thread? It seems that UITextView (can?) eventually call _WebTryThreadLock which results in: bool _WebTryThreadLock(bool): Tried to obtain the web lock from a thread other than the main thread or the web thread. This may be a result of calling to UIKit from a secondary thread. Background: I have a subclassed NSOperation that takes a selector and a target object to notify. -(id)initWithTarget:(id)target { if (self = [super init]) { _target = [target retain]; } return self; } -(void)dealloc { [_target release]; [super dealloc]; } If the UIViewController has already been dismissed when the NSOperation gets around to running, then the call to release triggers it's dealloc on a background thread.

• Setting Position of NSWindow before Display

  Right now I'm setting the position of a window that is about to open like this: -(void) setActiveNodeDialog:(ISKNodeDialogController *)dialog { if (activeNodeDialog) [[activeNodeDialog window] close]; activeNodeDialog = dialog; if (activeNodeDialog) { [activeNodeDialog setMainWindowController:self]; NSRect windowRect = [[self window] frame]; NSRect dialogRect = [[activeNodeDialog window] frame]; NSPoint pos; pos.x = windowRect.origin.x + windowRect.size.width - dialogRect.size.width - 10; pos.y = windowRect.origin.y + 32; [[activeNodeDialog window] setFrameOrigin:pos]; [[activeNodeDialog window] makeKeyAndOrderFront:nil]; } } The problem with that is, that the window will "jump" when shown. And that even though I set the position before showing the window with "makeKeyAndOrderFront". The window is a NSPanel *. Anyone any ideas how to fix the jumping? Setting the position in awakeFromNib is not an option because the main controller is set later.

  Hey all, I'm currently teaching myself Objective C and I'm kind of stuck. I'm building a backgammon game and I have a subclass, "Piece", which is being initialized, repeatedly, in BackGammonViewController. In BackGammonViewController, if I do this: UIImage *myImage = [ UIImage imageNamed: @"white-piece.png" ]; UIImageView *myImageView = [ [ UIImageView alloc ] initWithImage: myImage ]; [self.view addSubview:myImageView]; [myImageView release]; The image appears. However, I want to do this within my "piece" class. How do I refer to the "self.view" from within the piece class? Do I need to pass a reference to the view, into the "piece class" ? Or is there a global reference I can call from within the "piece class" ? Thanks for your help.

• UISlider disappearing when calling setValue with 0

For some reason the slider doesn't show up unless mySlider.value is set to greater than 0. The only workaround I've found so far is to set it to an extremely small value (such as 0.000000001), which makes the slider appear as expected. Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening and how it can be fixed?

  Hi everyone, I'm implementing OAuth to post on Twitter... which works perfectly. My issue is for those who entered the Twitter login area by accident and want to press the "Cancel" button. Unfortunately, the "Cancel" button is dismissed but then immediately reappears. • Drupal: I cannot connect to the database.. please help

  hi, I've hard time to make Drupal work on IIS Microsoft server. I've succesfully run Joomla on the same server so I'm pretty sure the following information are correct: host: localhost user: user pass: pass databaseName = servername_databasename I've set the following line in settings.php file: $db_url = 'mysql://user:password@localhost/servername_databasename'; but what I get is this: If you are the maintainer of this site, please check your database settings in the settings.php file and ensure that your hosting provider's database server is running. For more help, see the handbook, or contact your hosting provider. I don't get any other error message such as: database doesn't exist, user/pass wrong.. just this. The database is running, I can access with phpmyadmin. I've tried both "mysql" and "mysqli". The host is a private server (IIS Microsoft), the database is Mysql The database and website files upload have also been succesfull.. so I dunno what to do to fix this issue. thanks

  Hi all, In my application, I'm expanding a tableview row when it's tapped. I'm using - (void)setSelected:(BOOL)selected animated:(BOOL)animated { [super setSelected:selected animated:animated]; if( selected == YES ) { [self expandRow]; } else { [self contractRow]; } height = [lblFeed frame].size.height + 75; } to achieve that. So when a row is tapped, this function automatically gets the signal of row tap and it sets the selected=YES. Now when I tap the same expanded row, it still sets selected=YES. I want to detect the second tap and contract the row. How shall I do that while using the same function?

• Android bluetooth socket error

  I am using backport bluetooth api on android 1.6. I am using Google Bluetooth Chat sample app for testing. The app works fine in normal scenarios. In a scenario, when I try to connect to paired device which is in off state, I get following error. 01-04 09:00:11.629: ERROR/BluetoothEventLoop.cpp(84): onGetRemoteServiceChannelResult: D-Bus error: org.bluez.Error.ConnectionAttemptFailed (Host is down) 01-04 09:00:11.729: DEBUG/dalvikvm(128): GC freed 4535 objects / 256008 bytes in 296ms 01-04 09:00:21.880: ERROR/bluetooth_RfcommSocket.cpp(1433): connect error: Host is down (112) But it sets the state as connected. The app is unable to catch the exception. Why does it happen? Or is it the case with backport api? Any help is appreciated as I am struggling a lot to get things run fine.

I need to find a way to adapt the following query into inserting a row into table2 with the existing row's id.   I'm using the Drupal Quiz module, and have setup some basic quizzes and stuff like that. However some further customization is required, involving more than 1 question per page, and a multi-type answer in this type of format: Question 1: Describe 4 things you did last summer a) [ short answer space - text field ] b) "I wept" c) "My whole family died so I learned self reliance" d) "I got another xbox" Question 2: Describe 2 things you hate about yourself a) "My arms are way shorter than my legs" b) "I was born without human emotion" So I guess in two parts, how to show multiple questions per page, and then how to allow multiple text fields for answers. Oh and this quiz is not graded, it's like a self assessment. Thanks!
