    The input to my XSL is an XHTML. After applying the XSL the DOCTYPE declaration that was present in the input XHTML gets lost in the output. Do i have an option to copy/retain the DOCTYPE declaration in the output using XSL. The XSL processor that i am using is SAXON.

    How can I play .wav files on my website using flash .swf there are many plugins for mp3s but nothing that does .wav. It is essential that i use .wav not .mp3 and converting it is not an option. I do not want to use the standard embed that uses the quicktime plugin. Can anyone help?

    Hello all. I am currently working on an application for managing a WPD device. I want to add an option to open the wpd device in windows explorer to view the saved files. Problem is that I can't find a way to open explorer pointing to the device's "folder". I have all information of the device (pnp device id, class name, etc.) Anybody knows a solution?     It seems like a no brainer to me. I've heard countless stories about people forgetting the WHERE clause in an UPDATE or DELETE and trashing an entire table. I know that careless people shouldn't be issuing queries directly and all that... and that there are legitimate cases where you want to affect all rows, but wouldn't it make sense to have an option on by default that requires such queries to be written like: UPDATE MyTable SET MyColumn = 0 WHERE * Or without changing the language, UPDATE MyTable SET MyColumn = 0 WHERE 1 = 1 -- tacky, I know

  • Are GUID primary keys bad in theory, or just practice?

    Whenever I design a database I automatically start with an auto-generating GUID primary key for each of my tables (excepting look-up tables) I know I'll never lose sleep over duplicate keys, merging tables, etc. To me it just makes sense philosophically that any given record should be unique across all domains, and that that uniqueness should be represented in a consistent way from table to table. I realize it will never be the most performant option, but putting performance aside, I'd like to know if there are philosophical arguments against this practice?

    Hi, When I decompile my CHM file use microsoft html help workshop. It generates HHC,HHK and bunch of HTML files but no HHP file. When I create an HHP file using new project option and then compile it to create another CHM file. Now these two CMH files are not of same size and they behave differently. Am I missing something here? I am simply decompiling and re-compiling the same CHM file but the result is different.

    I'm creating a dialog with YAHOO.widget.Dialog. The dialog is fired off by clicking on a link, and the function the link uses specifies parameters that finally get added to a postdata option like so: var myDialog = new YAHOO.widget.Dialog("myDialog", { fixedcenter: true, // postmethod: "form", postdata: propString }); This works just fine, but now I need to do the same thing but using "form" instead of "async" - and there's no postdata for form submissions. What's the right way to do this? (YUI 2.7.0)

    In XP 32bit Visual Studio 2010 I get the error below when I start debugging with IntelliTrace enabled. Doesn't IntelliTrace work in Windows XP or is there some setting which causes this error? UPDATE: The error occurs when I choose the second option to add call information in the IntelliTrace settings. There's nothing in the event log about this error. The question now is how to find out why VS is having trouble adding call information.

    I have some confusion of using universal quantifier and declare-const without using forall (set-option :mbqi true) (declare-fun f (Int Int) Int) (declare-const a Int) (declare-const b Int) (assert (forall ((x Int)) (>= (f x x) (+ x a)))) I can write like this: (declare-const x Int) (assert (>= (f x x) (+ x a)))) with Z3 will explore all the possible values of type Int in this two cases. So what's the difference? Can I really use the declare-const to eliminate the forall quantifier?
