  • Error when compiling code with the Protege API

    - by Anto
    I am new to Protege API and I have just created on Eclipse a small application which uses an external OWL file. Also I did import all the necessary libraries. import java.util.Collection; import java.util.Iterator; import edu.stanford.smi.protege.exception.OntologyLoadException; import edu.stanford.smi.protegex.owl.ProtegeOWL; import edu.stanford.smi.protegex.owl.model.*; public class Trial { public static void main(String[] args) throws OntologyLoadException{ String uri = "C:/Documents and Settings/Anto/Desktop/travel.owl"; OWLModel owlModel = ProtegeOWL.createJenaOWLModelFromURI(uri); Collection classes = owlModel.getUserDefinedOWLNamedClasses(); for(Iterator it = classes.iterator(); it.hasNext();){ OWLNamedClass cls = (OWLNamedClass) it.next(); Collection instances = cls.getInstances(false); System.out.println("Class " + cls.getBrowserText()+ " (" + instances.size()+")"); for(Iterator jt = instances.iterator(); jt.hasNext();){ OWLIndividual individual = (OWLIndividual) jt.next(); System.out.println(" - "+ individual.getBrowserText()); } } } } When I do compile however I get the following errors: WARNING: [Local Folder Repository] The specified file must be a directory.   • Parallel programming patterns for C#?

    - by VoidDweller
With Intel's launch of a Hexa-Core processor for the desktop, it looks like we can no longer wait for Microsoft to make many-core programming "easy". I just order a copy of Joe Duffy's book Concurrent Programming on Windows. This looks like a great place to start, though, I am hoping some of you who have been targeting multi/many core systems would point me to some good resources that have or would have helped on your projects?

  • Good Project Organization Software

    - by QAH
Hello everyone! I am really having a hard time trying to set a schedule with development of my game. I would do better and quicker development if I had some sort of schedule to go by. What are some good programs out there, desktop or web, that allow you to easily organize your project and set development goals and milestones? I would prefer options that are free in cost, but feel free to mention non-free programs also. Thanks alot

  • Can a Winforms/WPF app act as HTTP server?

    - by user46703
Hi, I have a desktop written with Winforms. Now I have requests that people want to access the data from other machines. First I thought about a regular Client/Server app but now I think best would be if the app could act as HTTP server and send HTML to connected browsers. Does anybody know if there is a library available to add HTTP server functionality to an app? Ideally it would be able to serve ASP.NET content.

  • How to avoid OLEDB converting "."s into "#"s in column names?

    - by Andrew Miner
I'm using the ACE OLEDB driver to read from an Excel 2007 spreadsheet, and I'm finding that any '.' character in column names get converted to a '#' character. For example, if I have the following in a spreadsheet: Name Amt. Due Due Date Andrew 12.50 4/1/2010 Brian 20.00 4/12/2010 Charlie 1000.00 6/30/2010 the name of the second column would be reported as "Amt# Due" when read with the following code: OleDbConnection connection = new OleDbConnection( "Provider=Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0; Data Source={0}; " + "Extended Properties=\"Excel 12.0 Xml;HDR=YES;FMT=Delimited;IMEX=1\""); OldDbCommand command = new OleDbCommand("SELECT * FROM MyTable", connection); OleDbReader dataReader = command.ExecuteReader(); System.Console.WriteLine(dataReader.GetName(1)); I've read through all the documentation I can find and I haven't found anything which even mentions that this will happen. Has anyone run into this before? Is there a way to fix this behavior?

  • Difference between Java SE/EE/ME?

    - by Richard Knop
Which one should I install when I want to start learning Java? I going to start with some basics so I will create simple programs that create files, directories, edit XML files and so on, nothing too complex for now. I guess Java SE (Standard Edition) is the one I should install on my Windows 7 desktop? I already have Komodo IDE which I will use to write Java code.

  • SQL Server Reporting Services - Fast TimeDataRetrieval - Long TimeProcessing

    - by user197529
An application that I support has recently begun experiencing extended periods of time required to execute a report in SQL Server Reporting Services. The reports that are being executed are not terribly complex. There are multiple stored procedures (between 5 and 8) which return anywhere from a handful to 8000 records total. Reports are generally from 2 to 100 pages. One can argue (and I have) the benefit of a 100 page report, but the client is footing the bill. At any rate, the problem is that even the reports with 500 records (11 pages) being returned takes 5 minutes to return to the browser. In the execution log the TimeDataRetrieval is 60 seconds, but the TimeProcessing is 235 seconds. It seems bizarre to me that my query runs so quickly, but it takes Reporting Services so long to process the data. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Kind Regards, Bernie

  • "SSH server" in Windows?

    - by Benjamin Oakes
I have some command-line commands to execute on a Windows machine. The programs I need to run are only available on Windows. Is there a way to easily to do something like I would do with SSH? Example of what I mean: ssh [email protected] "remote command to execute" ...or do I have to Remote Desktop just to do this? (I'd like to run the commands programmatically from another computer rather than running them by hand.)

  • How can I prompt user for additional permissions on page load?

    - by Rew
Note: The application I'm building is a website type Facebook Application that uses Facebook Connect. I can prompt the user with a request for Extended Permissions using the following FBML code: <fb:prompt-permission perms="read_stream,publish_stream"> Grant permission for status updates </fb:prompt-permission> Taken from here. This creates a link on the page that must be clicked by the user in order to trigger the prompt to display. My question is: Is it possible to display this prompt automatically, when the page loads, without requiring the user to click on the link? Also, in reply to the answer below, I'd like to avoid displaying the link. Would prefer a neat way to do this, if that fails the least dirty method will do :-)

  • Needed list of special characters classification with respective characters

    - by pravin
I am working on one web application , It's related to machine translation support i.e. which takes source text for translation and translated in to user specified language Currently it's in unit testing phase. Here, i want to check that, whether my machine translation feature is fully working for all the special characters. Because of different test cases I stuck at one point where i need all the special characters with classification. I needed all the special characters listing with classification. e.g. 1st : class name : Punctuation Characters : !?,"| etc test cases : segment1? segment2! segment3. 2nd : Class name : HTML entities characters : all the characters which belong under this class test cases : respective test cases 3rd : Class name : Extended ASCII characters :all the characters which belong under this class test cases : respective test cases Please folks provide this, if anyone has any idea or links so that i can make product perfect Thanks a lot

  • One admin for multiple sites

    - by valya
I have two sites with different SITE_IDs, but I want to have only one admin interface for both sites. I have a model, which is just an extended FlatPage: # models.py class SFlatPage(FlatPage): currobjects = CurrentSiteManager('sites') galleries = models.ManyToManyField(Gallery) # etc # admin.py class SFlatPageAdmin(FlatPageAdmin): fieldsets = None admin.site.register(SFlatPage, SFlatPageAdmin) admin.site.unregister(FlatPage) I don't know why, but there are only pages for current site in admin interface. On http://site1.com/admin/ I see flatpages for site1, on http://site2.com/admin/ I see flatpages for site2. But I want to see all pages in http://site1.com/admin/ interface! What am I doing wrong?

  • Puppet's automatically generated certificates failing

  • XML: What to use as a list separator

    - by Heinzi
There are two ways to specify lists of values in XML. Variant 1: <Database Name="myDatabase"> <Table Name="myTable1" /> <Table Name="myTable2" /> <Table Name="myTable3" /> ... </Database> Variant 2: <Database Name="myDatabase" Tables="myTable1 myTable2 myTable3 ..." /> Clearly, Variant 1 is cleaner and can be extended more easily, but im many cases Variant 2 is more readable and "user-friendly". When using Variant 2, what should be used as the separator? The XML Schema standard seems to prefer whitespace, whereas some real-world examples use commas instead. Is there a particular reason to choose one over the other (assuming that the values contain neither whitspace nor commas)?

Here are the errors: ||=== qgears, Debug ===| /home/cj/Desktop/qgears/trunk/project/linux/src/core/TextManager.h|48|error: invalid use of ‘::’| /home/cj/Desktop/qgears/trunk/project/linux/src/core/TextManager.h|48|error: expected ‘;’ before ‘m_LanguageRoot’| ||=== Build finished: 2 errors, 0 warnings ===| Here's the header file: // $Id$ #ifndef TEXT_MANAGER_h #define TEXT_MANAGER_h #include <OGRE/OgreString.h> #include <OGRE/OgreUTFString.h> #include <map> struct TextData { TextData(): text(""), width(0), height(0) { } Ogre::String name; Ogre::UTFString text; int width; int height; }; typedef std::vector<TextData> TextDataVector; class TextManager { public: TextManager(void); virtual ~TextManager(void); void SetLanguageRoot(const Ogre::String& root); void LoadTexts(const Ogre::String& file_name); void UnloadTexts(const Ogre::String& file_name); const TextData GetText(const Ogre::String& name); private: struct TextBlock { Ogre::String block_name; std::vector<TextData> text; } Ogre::String m_LanguageRoot; // Line #48 std::list<TextBlock> m_Texts; }; extern TextManager* g_TextManager; #endif // TEXT_MANAGER_h The only header file that's in include that's not a ogre header file is "map". If it helps, I'm using the Code::Blocks IDE/GCC Compiler in GNU/Linux. (Arch) I'm not sure even if I get this header fixed, I think I'll have build errors latter, but it's worth a shot. Edit: I added the semicolon and I have one more error in the header file: error: expected unqualified-id before ‘{’ token

  • Java operator overload

    - by rengolin
Coming from C++ to Java, the obvious unanswered question is why not operator overload. On the web some go about: "it's clearly obfuscated and complicate maintenance" but no one really elaborates that further (I completely disagree, actually). Other people pointed out that some objects do have an overload (like String operator +) but that is not extended to other objects nor is extensible to the programmer's decision. I've heard that they're considering extending the favour to BigInt and similar, but why not open that for our decisions? How exactly if complicates maintenance and where on earth does this obfuscate code? Isn't : Complex a, b, c; a = b + c; much simpler than: Complex a, b, c; a.equals( b.add(c) ); ??? Or is it just habit?

  • Online Flowchart Diagram Tool (run from private wiki)

    - by red.october
Hi, Is there some flowchart diagram tool that would (or could be made to) integrate with a self-hosted wiki? Requirements: basic functionality (e.g., drawing some boxes and some arrows) would strongly prefer it to be visual (i.e., not written out in text that then gets converted) it is important that it can be integrated into the wiki (e.g., as an extra panel somewhere) can be run from a personal server free I've looked around at other threads here concerning a diagram tool, but they are either desktop applications, online ones which reside on third-party servers, or cost money.
