  • How to Keep the selected value of the select box after Form POST or GET

    Im trying to implement the search feature in my website. when the search keyword is entered in the textbox, and the category combo is selected, the form will be Posted and the result will be shown on the same page. what i want is to keep the selected category of the combo by default in the form after posted For eg., If i select the category 'Automobiles' in the combo and click search, after form submit, the combo should show the automobiles as default selected option. Please help me. Any help will be appreciated

  • I get NaN when I try to insert some HTML into a DIV element with jQuery

    I am tring to display a text box when a element of class numObj is clicked. For some reason I get NaNNaNaNaNNaNNaNaNaN where I expect to the see the result of the searchForm variable in the code below. I know that NaN stands for Not a Number. What I don't understand is why is Javascript expecting a number?   • Make TBODY scrollable in Webkit browsers

    I'm aware of this question, but none of the answers work in Safari, Chrome, etc. The accepted strategy (as demonstrated here) is to set the tbody height and overflow properties like so: <table> <thead> <tr><th>This is the header and doesn't scroll</th></tr> </thead> <tbody style="height:100px; overflow:auto;"> <tr><td>content that scrolls</td></tr> <tr><td>content that scrolls</td></tr> <tr><td>content that scrolls</td></tr> <tr><td>content that scrolls</td></tr> <tr><td>content that scrolls</td></tr> <tr><td>content that scrolls</td></tr> <tr><td>content that scrolls</td></tr> </tbody> </table> Unfortunately, this does not work in any webkit browsers. There is a bug report about it that doesn't seem to be a high priority (reported June 05). So my question is: are there alternate strategies that do actually work? I've tried the two-table approach, but it's impossible to guarantee that the header will line up with the content. Do I just have to wait for Webkit to fix it?

  • How can I restore the "auto" values with for list-style-type in nested unordered lists with CSS?

    By default, an unstyled set of nested <ul> lists looks like this (in Chrome, Firefox, and IE at least): The top level has a list-style-type of disc, the next level is circle, and subsequent levels are square. If I include a stylesheet that changes the list-style-type to none, is there a simple way to revert back to the "automatic bullet types" later in the document? (e.g., override with a subsequent CSS definition or JavaScript style change) Basically, I'm looking for something like list-style-type: auto; (which is apparently not valid and has no effect): <style type="text/css"> ul { list-style-type: none; } ul { list-style-type: auto; } /* Does not work */ </style> Setting the list-style-type back to disc changes every bullet in the list and I no longer see different bullets at different levels, so that doesn't work either. Is the only way to accomplish this by explicitly defining styles for every level? e.g.: <style type="text/css"> ul { list-style-type: disc; } ul ul { list-style-type: circle; } ul ul ul { list-style-type: square; } </style>

  • Help passing _POST Form Data PHP

    I apologize in advance, I am a PHP noob! I have form with some hidden fields. I need the values to POST to "submit_rma.php" so that they're not missing from the db--I need $qty, $estmate_id and $rma_type. The rest of the fields are just displaying data for the user and are readonly. Currently I only get value from the qty text field. Is there any easier way to pass these values?   • border highlighting loop with jquery

    I'm having trouble coming up with a loop that changes the border color of an image from black to yellow and yellow to black over x seconds. Then applying an interrupt to the loop when the image gets clicked on. I don't know where to start, can someone point me in the right direction? I think I may be using the wrong tools to properly write this. Here's what I've come up so far, though if there's a better way to write this, do share! for( i = 100; i >= 0; i--) { $("#imgid").css("border-color", 'rgb(' + i + '%,' + i + '%,0)'); } I'm having trouble picturing how I could combine two loops so that I can also count upwards as well so that it will turn into yellow and back to black. I also don't know how to go about controlling the amount of time it takes for that loop to execute and creating an interrupt when #imigid is clicked. Which is where I'm not sure how to write.

    Hi, is it possible to capture a click event on a scrollbar? I have some code where i am observing the click and mousedown events on the document. However, it seems that when I click on the scrollbar, the event is not captured. This leads me to believe that the scrollbars aren't really part of the document. (Assumption :-)) Is this a correct assumption?     I have been using this script to send emails to certain staff but because of changes to my system i have to now send attachements with the email and i have tried multipul peices of code to accomplish this but have been unsuccessful...     With the example below, I need to add padding and background-color properties to the text anchor. I then need to exclude padding and background-color from anchors that contain images. <p> <a href="#">this is a text link that needs to be styled</a> <a href="#"><img src="image/name.jpg" alt="this needs to be excluded from styling" /></a> </p> If I have a red background and padding on my text links, I do not want that same red background and padding to appear on my linked images. The images will always be in their own anchors, not mixed with text within the same anchor. The rub is that I can not add classes or IDs to the img tags - I do not have edit control of that data. So how can I add CSS attributes to all anchors, while excluding anchors that contain images?

  • Pass Alot of Parameters on a Form to Action Struts2

    I have been working on migrating a web application from Struts1 to Struts2. I have a simple Form with around 45 Fields (basically a grid with data). I have to capture all those in Struts2 Action.I noticed that in struts2 we have OGNL through which we just write getters setters in action itself by declaring fields locally to get those variables flowing in the request. I cannot write 45 getters/setters in my action, there must be a way to pass whole object(a POJO) from jsp to Action layer. In Struts 1, we normally get a ActionForm Object and/or get request parameters in a map and then populate. Any help or suggestions will be appreciated.
