I'm trying to reset all of the select boxes in the row to a default value, but having trouble with the syntax, can anyone help? This is what I have at the moment, but it dosen't seem to be working: $(row).children('td > select').each().val('0'); Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

    Is there any way to get a hover function to only execute once? How can I only get this hover to activate once? I've tried changing .live with .one and .bind... resulting in nothingness.

How else can I write this then? I'm having difficulty conjuring something working by chaining any combination of .after(), and .insertAfter()?   • Triggering jquery event when an element appears on screen

    I want to show a fade effect as soon as the element appears on screen. There is a lot of content before this element so if I trigger the efect on document.ready, at certain resolutions the vistors wont´t see it. Is it possible to trigger an event when, after scrolling down, the element becomes visible? I am almost sure I have seen this effect before, but have no idea how to achieve it. Thank you!

    My gut tells me that if i am on a laggy server and the user fires two events fast enough on the success function c will be the value of the most recent event causing func1 to use the wrong value. <--- This is a guess, i haven't proved it. Anyone can help me with why it quit working? And if I need to I can post another question but figured I'd try it here first. Whats a better way of writing the ajax code where it executes once upon loading the page and then every time I click the $("a#next") link afterwards? Right now I just repasted the code outside of the next link and that works, but seems silly to have the same code in two different places like that. Thanks!
