Is there any equivalent feature in 2.2? The authentication type None disables authentication. When authentication is enabled, it is normally inherited by each subsequent configuration section, unless a different authentication type is specified.   • Is git svn rebase required before git svn dcommit?

    I'm reading about using git as an svn client here: http://learn.github.com/p/git-svn.html That page suggests that you do git svn rebase before git svn dcommit, which makes perfect sense; it's like doing svn update before doing svn commit. Then, I started looking at the documentation for git svn dcommit (I was wondering what the 'd' is about): http://www.kernel.org/pub/software/scm/git/docs/git-svn.html You have to scroll down a bit to see the documentation on dcommit, which says this: Commit each diff from a specified head directly to the SVN repository, and then rebase or reset (depending on whether or not there is a diff between SVN and head). This confuses me, because if you do as the first page says, there will be no changes to pull down from svn once the first part of dcommit finishes. I'm also confused by the part that talks about reset; isn't git reset for removing changes from the staging area? Why would rebase or reset follow (the first part of) a dcommit?

  • Maven downloads have .lastUpdated as extension

    I am a beginner to Eclipse and maven. I have an Eclipse setup with m2eclipse and subversive. I have imported a maven2 project from svn. But I get the error message that a whole bunch of artifacts are missing (for instance: Missing artifact org.springframework:spring-test:jar:3.0.1.RELEASE:test). If I look in my repository I see the jar files there but they have an extra extension .lastUpdated. Why is maven appending .lastUpdated to the jars? And more importantly: how can I fix this? Btw there is no mention of the type lastUpdated in my POMs.

  • Anyone who actually got Tycho to work?

    I'm trying to get Tycho working with m2eclipse. Problem is that all I find are outdated sites and old versions to download. I've found my way to hxxp://github.com/sonatype/sonatype-tycho and downloaded the source. Problem is that the guide at https://docs.sonatype.org/display/TYCHO/BuildingTycho isn't of much help. When trying to build I run into an error message saying I'm using invalid syntax..... And there seems to be nowhere to ask for further guidance. So are there anyone out there who actually got this working? Or got a better alternative for continuous integration / automatic build solution for eclipse plug-ins?

    Say I have a list of n elements, I know there are n! possible ways to order these elements. What is an algorithm to generate all possible orderings of this list? Example, I have list [a, b, c]. The algorithm would return [[a, b, c], [a, c, b,], [b, a, c], [b, c, a], [c, a, b], [c, b, a]]. I'm reading this here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Permutation#Algorithms_to_generate_permutations But Wikipedia has never been good at explaining. I don't understand much of it.

    I have a few questions: I know what gettext is. I've read a few posts where they mentioned xgettext and was curious as to what is the difference between the two. How can I install xgettext on Windows? And finally, does anybody have a tutorial on how to install the library php-gettext http://savannah.nongnu.org/projects/php-gettext/ (this one usually doesn't come with PHP) I've read about it in an article but I'm not sure how to get it working in Windows. The thing is, sometimes when you make changes, you need to restart Apache to see the new data with the gettext that comes with PHP (but with the library you don't need to restart it) so I wanted to use the library for development. Thanks!

  • Which svn client to install on Windows 7 machine?

    I just got a new PC running Windows 7 (64-bit). I'd like to install an SVN client (command line only, I don't want TortoiseSVN). I'm not sure which of these to install: http://subversion.apache.org/packages.html#windows does anyone have any opinions on this? I tried going for the ones hosted by Tigris, but the downloaded zip says to read an install file hosted at their site, but the link is broken. Do we simply download, then call svn.exe as needed, no need for a real 'install'?

  • I want to use VI-like commands in Web Browser?

    I love VI and I'm looking for a plugin of some sort that would allow me to input text in my browser (preferably Firefox or Chrome) using VI commands. It would save me an immense amount of time and at the same time when writing long emails. Can anyone think of any plugins that would allow me to do this? I was hopeful with Vimperator (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/4891) but after installing it, I realized that it didn't do the one VI think I wanted to do: create or edit a text box with VI commands. It just allowed me to do Browser commands and scrolling in VI-style.

    I have been trying to migrate a database from sybase to Mysql. This is my approach: Generate pojo classes from my sybase database using hibernate in eclipse Use these pojo classes to generate the schema in mysql database Then somehow migrate the data from sybase to mysql I guess this approach should work??? Please let me know if there is any better or easier approach. The thing is I am not even able to get the first step done.     Hi :) essentially, my problem is, ater a long time searching, finding only this other question, i decided i was just going to ask my own... i am on windows 7 with python 2.6 and ossbuild GStreamer, but i am trying to get the python binding for it, and struggling. i have got gst-python from http://gstreamer.freedesktop.org/src/gst-python/ but as my eyes and research tell me, it does not work in the setup.py way, and the other question has a link to a site that he says has a binary avaiable, which no longer does, http://www.gstreamer-winbuild.ylatuya.es/doku.php?id=download and even the sdk is gone, and ossbuild dont seem to have anything useful either. so essentially, my question is, can anyone tell me a method, however convoluted, of getting my setup so if i write a script for (py)gst, with an import gst it will work? not the best of explanations... im tired k? xxx :)

    Hi all, I am solving how to pass values from one page to another without making use of session scope managed bean. For most managed beans I would like to have only Request scope. I created a very, very simple calculator example which passes Result object resulting from actions on request bean (CalculatorRequestBean) from 5th phase as initializing value for new instance of request bean initialized in next phase lifecycle. In fact - in production environment we need to pass much more complicated data object which is not as primitive as Result defined below.   • Is it possible to pickle python "units" units?

    I'm using the Python "units" package (http://pypi.python.org/pypi/units/) and I've run into some trouble when trying to pickle them. I've tried to boil it down to the simplest possible to case to try and figure out what's going on. Here's my simple test: from units import unit, named_unit from units.predefined import define_units from units.compatibility import compatible from units.registry import REGISTRY a = unit('m') a_p = pickle.dumps(a) a_up = pickle.loads(a_p) logging.info(repr(unit('m'))) logging.info(repr(a)) logging.info(repr(a_up)) logging.info(a.is_si()) logging.info(a_up.is_si()) logging.info( compatible(a,a_up) ) logging.info(a(10) + a_up(10)) The output I'm seeing when I run this is: LeafUnit('m', True) LeafUnit('m', True) LeafUnit('m', True) True True False IncompatibleUnitsError I'd understand if pickling units broke them, if it weren't for the fact that repr() is returning identical results for them. What am I missing? This is using v0.04 of the units package, and Google App Engine 1.4 SDK 1

    Based on the properties of the keydown event I would like to ascertain what the current charCode are? Example. For the keydown event when the NumPad0, D0, and Colon key is pressed I would like to know what the associated charcode is. Currently I have a map that contains the charcode associated with that keyCode or use the current if charCode is not specified. keyCode = { Colon: 186, D0: 48, NumPad0: 96, }; charCodes = { 186: 59, 96: 48, }; shiftCharCodes = { 186: 58, 48: 41 }; Also in certain cases the keyCodes are different accross browsers? Example. The keydown event has different keyCode values across browsers.   • Curious: Could LLVM be used for Infocom z-machine code, and if so how? (in general)

    Forgive me if this is a silly question, but I'm wondering if/how LLVM could be used to obtain a higher performance Z-Machine VM for interactive fiction. (If it could be used, I'm just looking for some high-level ideas or suggestions, not a detailed solution.) It might seem odd to desire higher performance for a circa-1978 technology, but apparently Z-Machine games produced by the modern Inform 7 IDE can have performance issues due to the huge number of rules that need to be evaluated with each turn. Thanks! FYI: The Z-machine architecture was reverse-engineered by Graham Nelson and is documented at http://www.inform-fiction.org/zmachine/standards/z1point0/overview.html

  • Chrome starts to load image then show broken link icon

    Chrome (21.0.1180.79 m) On several random pages it has started to load an image and then suddenly the image disappears and there's only the broken image icon. If I right click the icon and choose to open the image in another window then the image opens, so it seems to me that it isn't a problem with the page?   • NetBeans Platform Unit Test Library Dependencies

    I am working on a Netbeans Platform RCP application. I use jmock in my unit tests and I have created a Library Wrapper Module to import the necessary libraries. The Module has an section named 'Libraries' and another section named 'Unit Test Libraries'. I hoped that I could add the JMock Library Wrapper to the 'Unit Test Libraries', however when I run the unit tests I get the error 'package org.jmock does not exist'. If I import the JMock Library Wrapper in to the main 'Libraries' element then it works, but this feels wrong. Maven allows me to specify unit-test only dependencies, and I assumed that NetBeans Platform did the same. Should this be possible? Am I doing something wrong? Should I resign myself to a run-time dependency on the unit-test libraries (ugh).

  • Finding the right version of the right JAR in a maven repository

    I'm converting a build that has 71 .jar files in its global lib/ directory to use Maven. Of course, these have been pulled from the web by lots of developers over the past ten years of this project's history, and weren't always added to VCS with all the necessary version info, etc. Is there an easy, automated way to go from that set of .jar files to the corresponding <dependency/> elements for use in my pom.xml files? I'm hoping for a web page where I can submit the checksum of a jar file and get back an XML snippet. The google hits for 'maven repository search' are basically just finding name-based searches. And http://repo1.maven.org/ has no search whatsoever, as far as I can see. Update: GrepCode looks like it can find projects given an MD5 checksum. But it doesn't provide the particular details (groupId, artifactId) that Maven needs.

  • "remote file operation failed" on Hudson

    I am running a Windows slave for Husdon 1.337 (Linux master). When running a project on the Windows node, it fails with the following message: Building remotely on winTestSlave Checking out a fresh workspace because there's no workspace at C:\hudson\***\ejb remote file operation failed It did work yesterday and I have not upgraded Hudson or changed its configurations (or the slave's configurations) in any way. I establish the connection between the slave and the master by running the following command on a cygwim prompt on the slave: java -jar slave.jar -jnlpUrl http://myserver/computer/winTestSlave/slave-agent.jnlp I saw the issue http://issues.hudson-ci.org/browse/HUDSON-5374 and did as instructed in the work-around but that did not work. I also tried with a newer version of slave.jar (version 1.356) but that did not work either. Does anyone please have any idea of how to fix this? I really cannot find more information anywhere else!
