  • How can I add a simple counter function in javascript jquery?

    I'm using Shadowbox a jquery overlay and I wanted to count how many people are actually using the overlay. Thus, I would need a function that would write a counter to a file or sending a query through a php api... has to be a a php url api because I cant use php on the server where the overlay is. So I need help with executing a javascript function on the overlay click, tips on how to make a counter query through GET method. Thanks

    I am having trouble trying to convert the following query from SQL to Linq, in particular with the having count and group by parts of the query: select ProjectID from ProjectAssociation where TeamID in ( select TeamID from [User] where UserID in (4)) group by ProjectID having COUNT(TeamID) = (select distinct COUNT(TeamID) from [User] where UserID in (4)) Any advice on how to do so would be much appreciated.

    Guys, I have a StringCollection object with 5 words in them. 3 of them are duplicate words. I am trying to create a LINQ query that will count how many unique words are in the collection and output them to to the console. So, for example, if my StringCollection has 'House', 'Car,'House','Dog', 'Cat', then it should output like this: House -- 2 Car -- 1 Dog -- 1 Cat -- 1 any ideas on how to create a LINQ query to do this?

    I'm trying to get a query string from a shared function in a code-behind model using VB.NET. You have to use HttpContext.Current.Request.QueryString("Query") in order to get it from a shared function, however doing HttpContext.Current.Request.QueryString.Count gives back 0, which obviously isn't right in my case as there's many that exist. Is there some sort of issue with using this static call from a shared function?

    When my users enter a term like "word" I would like it be treated as a wildcard query "word*" so all terms beginning "word" are found. Is there a way to tell the QueryParser to automatically create wildcard queries or do I have to parse the query myself? This shouldn't be a problem for simple queries but it may become tricky for more complex queries.

    Hi, I would like to store some properties in the quartz datastore (jdbc) and then be able to find all triggers/jobs that match. E.g. store the user id related to a trigger and then query like user_id=555. Previously, I used to query the database directly but this is naturally not a good way.     Hi, I am looking to setup Amazon EC/2 nodes on rails with Riak. I am looking to be able to sync the riak DBs and if the cluster gets a query, to be able to tell where the data lies and retrieve it quickly. In your opinion(s), is EC/2 fast enough between nodes to query a Riak DB, return the results, and get them back to the client in a timely manner? I am new to all of this, so please be kind :)

    I have a table where each row has a start and stop date-time. These can be arbitrarily short or long spans. I want to query the sum duration of the intersection of all rows with two start and stop date-times. How can you do this in MySQL? Or do you have to select the rows that intersect the query start and stop times, then calculate the actual overlap of each row and sum it client-side?
