• How to make php-closure compiler output to a predefined file name? (Updated)

  Php-closure compiler (linked to source code) currently writes the compiled code to a md5 encoded filename. How can I make it so it write the compiled code to a predefined name like compiled_code.js? . . I think it has to do with the write() function on Line 164. It gets the filename via the _getCacheFileName() function (Line 272). function _getCacheFileName() { return $this->_cache_dir . $this->_getHash() . ".js"; } I've tried altering it to this: function _getCacheFileName() { //return $this->_cache_dir . $this->_getHash() . ".js"; return 'copiled_code.js'; } without any results. • Understanding PTS and DTS in video frames

  I had fps issues when transcoding from avi to mp4(x264). Eventually the problem was in PTS and DTS values, so lines 12-15 where added before av_interleaved_write_frame function: 1. The 1st one was set by me but I cannot figure out why and who set 12800? I noticed that before line (7) outStream->time_base = 1/90000 and right after it it changes to 1/12800, why? When I transcode from avi to avi, meaning changing the line (2) to avformat_alloc_output_context2(&outContainer, NULL, "avi", "c:\\test.avi"; , so before and after line (7) outStream->time_base remains always 1/25 and not like in mp4 case, why? What is the difference between time_base of outStream->codec and outStream? To calc the pts av_rescale_q does: takes 2 time_base, multiplies their fractions in cross and then compute the pts. Why it does this in this way? As I debugged, the encodedPacket.pts has value incremental by 1, so why changing it if it does has value? At the beginning the dts value is -2 and after each rescaling it still has negative number, but despite this the video played correctly! Shouldn't it be positive?

• Eclipse and python: library will import in interprer, but not in IDE

  I'm running Windows 7, Python 2.6.4 and the latest version of Eclipse. I downloaded the boto library (http://code.google.com/p/boto/) and ran python setup.py install, which created boto-1.9b-py2.6.egg in C:\Python26\Lib\site-packages. Importing a class - say, by doing 'from boto.sqs.connection import SQSConnection' - works fine from the python command line tool. But Eclipse will not find boto, despite the fact that it is using the same python interpreter as I am using when at the command line. I added the library as an external source folder, but that didn't work either. How can I properly import the boto library into Eclipse? Thanks.

• How to debug .net error where message is masked in Ajax call

  Hi, I'm currently working on a page which makes use of the MS Ajax UpdatePanel. However I've run into a strange problem. If I simply compile and view my page, one of the button click events results in an error. However, because the button affects items inside an UpdatePanel the actual exception is hidden from me: all I'm getting is a HTTP 500 error returned to me through the UpdatePanel Javascript. What's odd about this is that if I step through the code line by line in Visual Studio, I don't get the error. The button doesn't cause the behaviour I'm expecting, but it throws no errors. Because the step through isn't causing an error to be thrown, I'm at a loss how I can get to the actual exception message so I can find out where the error is being thrown and debug it. Suggestions gratefully received. Cheers, Matt

Identify and use a difference highlighting tool that meets the following criteria: • can highlight areas that need to be reviewed • there is a place to enter comments • retains line numbering from code • preference for doing within IDE Issue addressed: Hard to see what was changed in code - changes not identified. Coders do not provide administrators diffs. No tool that does a nice job to identify differences. Daunting/time consuming to provide a good diff. When highlighting differences was provided, loss of line numbers was a substantial issue (was worse).

• Installing Sass on Gentoo

  I've been trying to install Sass on Gentoo, but it hasn't been going too well. Unfortunately, the latest version of Sass in portage is 3.1.21. What I want to use Sass for requires at least Sass 3.2, which is available through rubygems. What I've tried: emerge dev-ruby/sass (installs an old version) gem install sass The second command appears to install the Sass gem. However, I do not use Rails or Ruby in any other aspect apart from Sass, so the gem appears useless to me. In addition, I do not know where gems are installed to or how to use them (I'm a ruby noob.) All I want to do is call sass from the command line. Are there any ways to obtain an up-to-date version of Sass which I can just use from the command line? Cheers.

EDIT: I just saw from the help document: annotation('line',x,y) creates a line annotation object that extends from the point defined by x(1),y(1) to the point defined by x(2),y(2), specified in normalized figure units. In my code, I would like the arrow pointing to the point (x,y) that is drawn by plot(), but annotation interprets the values of x and y as in normalized figure units. So I think that is what causes the problem. How can I specify the correct coordinates to annotation?

  I'm trying out ASP.NET MVC 2 by going through the "NerdDinner" tutorial. But apparently version 2 of MVC doesn't create a Details page the same as in the tutorial, and you get divs with css classes on them to style. However, I want to get the style where each label is followed on the same line with the field, and I can't do it, I get them on top of each other, or if I try using floats weird things happen (probably because I don't know exactly how to use it in this situation, where every other div should be on the same line). I'm not interested in WAP/WML for this project. I'm building a ASP.Net 4 MCV 2 app and using MBDF What I'd like to know is how best to define this differentiation when using MBDF? Screen size, Javascript, SpportsTouchScreen etc. are all in MBDF along with others but I'm not sure where to draw the line and where the data is most accurate for the broad number of devices. What do those of you out there developing for this spread of hardware & software split on? Thanks, Denis P.S. I've done my research on xHTML MP1.0 - 1.2 and the best practises for implementation to ensure broad coverage but I don't want to restrict the newer phones out there to what the base line can see.

  Can you use a UTF-8 string as the Arguments for a StartInfo? I am trying to pass a UTF-8 (in this case a Japanese string) to an application as a console argument. Something like this (this is just an example! (cmd.exe would be a custom app)) var process = new System.Diagnostics.Process(); process.StartInfo.Arguments = "/K \"echo ????????\""; process.StartInfo.FileName = "cmd.exe"; process.StartInfo.UseShellExecute = true; process.Start(); process.WaitForExit(); Executing this seems to loose the UTF-8 string and all the target application sees is "echo ?????????" When executing this command directly on the command line (by pasting the arguments) the target application receives the string correctly even though the command line itself doesn't seem to display it correctly. Do I need to do anything special to enable UTF-8 support in the arguments or is this just not supported?

  Hi Experts, I want to use cairo to enhance gtkentry look. For this, I have connected a callback to 'expose-event'. In callback, I call gtkentry's original expose-event handler. After that, I create cairo context and draw some lines and destroy the cairo. I return 'TRUE' as return value of callback function so that expose-event does not propagate. Now my problem is, I am drawing line from (0,0) to (100,100). But line appears only over the border areas of the gtkentry. The place where text is, it does not appear. Please help. The above output is 2.5, not the expected 3.0 that I get if I type it into bc -i myself. It seems that bash calls bc for each line of echo output, rather than echo'ing it all to a single instance. Is there any workaround for this?

• Email attachment problem

  Hi there, I want to send an email with an attachment using the following code (Python 3.1) (greatly simplified to show the example) from email.mime.multipart import MIMEMultipart from email.mime.text import MIMEText msg = MIMEMultipart() msg['From'] = from_addr msg['To'] = to_addr msg['Subject'] = subject msg.attach(MIMEText(body)) fp = open(att_file) msg1 = MIMEText(fp.read()) attachment = msg1.add_header('Content-Disposition', 'attachment', filename=att_file) msg.attach(attachment) # set string to be sent as 3rd parameter to smptlib.SMTP.sendmail() send_string = msg.as_string() The attachment object msg1 returns 'email.mime.text.MIMEText' object at ', but when the msg1.add_header(...) line runs the result is None, hence the program falls-over in msg.as_string() because no part of the attachment can have a None value. (Traceback shows "'NoneType' object has no attribute 'get_content_maintype'" in line 118 of _dispatch in generator.py, many levels down from msg.as_string()) Has anyone any idea what the cause of the problem might be? • Searching for a semantic syntax highlighter in Javascript

  OK, I know, there are literally dozens of already available syntax highlighters out there. But I want one specifically, that implements line numbers through <ol/> lists. And that reduces the number of possible candidates to one, Lighter.js. Unfortunately, that is MooTools based, and since I decided some time ago to use jQuery, I don't want to embed yet another library just for syntax highlighting. The SyntaxHighlighter does something similar, but uses tables for the line numbering, and I don't want to hack it, if there is an already available tool, too.

I stubbed __builtin__.open to raise IOError when the open is called with said file name But how do I go from 278 to 333. Is this even possible? Additional information: - using coverage.py 3.4 (only listing 3.5, we can't currently upgrade to 3.5)

• How to remove some of the TimeSeries titles in a AChartEngine Time Series View

  As a workaround of not being able to change colors of selected points in a series on an AChartEngine Time Chart, I was using an additional series for each point whose color has to be changed. I need to disable series titles for those additional series. Using empty string as the argument to the Time Series construtor: TimeSeries ts = TimeSeries(""); still results in the line-and-point symbol being placed with empty series title string under the X-axis labels for each such series. It would be a desirable feature for AChartEngine to remove both the line-and-point symbol and the series title string for a series created with a null argument to the TimeSeries construtor call: TimeSeries ts = TimeSeries(null); But this currently resulted in nullPointerException instead. Would the AChartEngine developers consider the above suggestion and until then, is there a way to remove some of the TimeSeries titles from a AChartEngine Time Series View? Best regards.

• YUI Compressor + gzip causes Illegal Character error in jQuery

  When I minify jquery using YUI compressor, it works fine. When I then add gzip compression (and serve this version via mod rewrite), the gzipped version throws this error: illegal character in jquery.min.js on line 1 Line 1 is: ???????M???????????s?8?0???!sz?dKr?=? This results in a "jquery is not defined" error. I am using the following rewrite rules to serve up the gzipped versions: #Check to see if browser can accept gzip files. ReWriteCond %{HTTP:accept-encoding} (gzip.*) #make sure there's no trailing .gz on the url ReWriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !^.+\.gz$ #check to see if a .gz version of the file exists. RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME}.gz -f #All conditions met so add .gz to URL filename (invisibly) RewriteRule ^(.+) $1.gz [L] I can't find any references to this happening to anyone else. Thoughts?
