• Apache HttpClient Digest authentication

  Hi, Basically what I need to do is to perform digest authentication. First thing I tried is the official example available here. But it turned out that PHP script running on the server requires all other params, but no matter if I specify them or not DigestScheme doesn't generate them when I call its authenticate() method. I've been struggling with this for two days, and no luck. Based on everything I think that the cause of the problem is the PHP script. It looks to me that it doesn't send a challenge when app tries to access it unauthorized. Any ideas anyone?

  I have used the code below to create a button on the nav bar with an image. I can see the image but I can also see the border of the button around it. My question is, how can I get rid of the button border. All I want to see is the image on the nav bar, no border. • Event taps: Varying results with CGEventPost, kCGSessionEventTap, kCGAnnotatedSessionEventTap, CGEve

  I'm running into a thorny problem with posting an event from an event tap. I'm tapping for NSSystemDefined at kCGHIDEventTap, then replacing the event with a new one. The problem I'm running in to is that depending on how I post the event, it's being seen only by some applications. My test applications are Opera, Firefox, Quicksilver, and Xcode. Here are the different techniques I've tried within my event tap callback, with results. I'm expecting an action (the "correct response") from each app; "system beep" means the nothing-is-bound-to-that-key system sound. Create a new event, and return it from the callback. Opera: no response/system beep, Firefox: no response/system beep, Quicksilver: correct response, Xcode: no response/system beep Create a new event, post to kCGSessionEventTap with CGEventPost, return null. Opera: no response/system beep, Firefox: no response/system beep, Quicksilver: correct response, Xcode: no response/system beep Create a new event, post to kCGAnnotatedSessionEventTap with CGEventPost, return null. Opera: correct response, Firefox: correct response, Quicksilver: no response/system beep, Xcode: no response/system beep Create a new event, post with CGEventTapPostEvent, return null. • I keep on getting "save operation failure" after any change on my XCode Data Model

  I started using Core Data for iPhone development. I started out by creating a very simple entity (called Evaluation) with just one string property (called evaluationTopic). I had following code for inserting a fresh string: - (void)insertNewObject { // Create a new instance of the entity managed by the fetched results controller. [newManagedObject setValue:@"My Repeating String" forKey:@"evaluationTopic"]; // Save the context. NSError *error; if (![context save:&error]) { // Handle the error... } [self.tableView reloadData]; } This worked perfectly fine and by pushing the +button a new "My Repeating String" would be added to the table view and be in persistent store. I then pressed "Design - Add Model Version" in XCode. I added three entities to the existing entity and also added new properties to the existing "Evaluation" entity. Then, I created new files off the entities by pressing "File - New File - Managed Object Classes" and created a new .h and .m file for my four entities, including the "Evaluation" entity with Evaluation.h and Evaluation.m. Now I changed the model version by setting "Design - Data Model - Set Current Version". After having done all this, I changed my insertMethod: - (void)insertNewObject { // Create a new instance of the entity managed by the fetched results controller. Every time I want to add a row the simulator crashes and I get the following: "NSInternalInconsistencyException', reason: 'This NSPersistentStoreCoordinator has no persistent stores. It cannot perform a save operation.'" I had this error before I knew about creating new version after changing anything on the datamodel, but why is this still coming up? Do I need to do any mapping (even though I just added entities and properties that did not exist before?). In the Apple Dev tutorial it sounds very easy but I have been struggling with this for long time, never worked after changing model version.

  I am trying to create a basic navigation application with a header and detail screen. My problem is the detail screen is not working. The code below is for the opening the detail view and placing it on the nav stack. My problem is the detail screen is not being pushed and I'm not sure why?   Are there any Informix-specific guides for optimizing any operating system where an ifx engine is running? For example, in Linux, strip-down to a bare minimum all unecessary binaries, daemons, utilities, tune kernel parameters, optimize raw and cooked devices (hdparm). Someday, maybe, informix can create its own proprietary PICK-like O/S. The general idea is for the OS where ifx sits on have the smallest footprint, lowest overhead impact on ifx and provide optimized ifx performance.

  I use a DATE's master table for looking up dates and other values in order to control several events, intervals and calculations within my app. It has rows for every single day begining from 01/01/1990 to 12/31/2041. One example of how I use this lookup table is: A customer pawned an item on: JAN-31-2010 Customer returns on MAY-03-2010 to make an interest pymt to avoid forfeiting the item. If he pays 1 months interest, the employee enters a "1" and the app looks-up the pawn date (JAN-31-2010) in date master table and puts FEB-28-2010 in the applicable interest pymt date. FEB-28 is returned because FEB-31's dont exist! If 2010 were a leap-year, it would've returned FEB-29. If customer pays 2 months, MAR-31-2010 is returned. 3 months, APR-30... If customer pays more than 3 months or another period not covered by the date lookup table, employee manually enters the applicable date.   Ever been in a situation where you were in an interview, and realized immediately afterwards (after the nervousness wore off) that you did something wrong? I had a phone interview today. I was asked an n-ary tree problem, and coded an algorithm that used a space overhead, then a different algorithm with no space overhead. However, my solution was inefficient, since I traversed the tree top-down rather than bottom-up. The interviewer said I did a good job, but I'm still wondering if he noticed and marked down for my choice of implementation. Should I follow up with an email correcting myself, or just let it and avoid making things worse?

• how to fix gateway timeout error in php???

  Iam having a php file that sends text messages on mobile to all the users that i have in my database's particular table. Now the entries are like 2000 or so in number and this number will keep on increasing. On my page there is a small form that selects a list of the users to whom message is to be sent from a drop down and then user writes the text to be sent in a textarea and then on clicking the submit button php script stars sending the messages to mobile numbers. Now while trying to send messages my browser has shown gateway timeout error but the script kept on running and messages are sent to the mobiles but not once but 6 times. I checked my script my query and all the code is correct.This all happened coz of that gateway timeout. Now does this gateway timeout kepts the script running again and again till the browser is not closed?? is this was the reason that a single message was sent 6 times to mobile numbers?? I mean how can i escape my file from getting this gateway error so that one message is sent only one time to a number??

  On MOSS2007, I have a webpart that display the content of a xml feed. I use a xslt with parameters for transforamtions. There is a situation when I receive a 401 Authorisation exception. I realize that this happen when a document() function from my xslt try to open an external xml. If I try to open this xml in browser all work ok. I provided my admin credentials to the web part and to the XmlSecureResolver. Same problem. The webpart is on server1 and the xml feed and external xml required by xslt is on server2. • Posting comments to a wordpress-blog in Android

  I am working on a module that allows users to post comments on a blog published on Wordpress. I looked at the HTML source for Post-Comment-Form displayed at the bottom of a blog entry (Leave a Reply section). But when I try this on the actual blog, I get HTTP 302 Found (Redirect to temporary location) exceptions in the logs. The comments never make it to the blog page. Usually, when you post a comment(on the web page) you are taken back to the blog page that enlists all the comments. The URL I am getting in the redirects is the same. Questions: 1. Could this be a post-a-comment settings problem(perhaps something the original blog owner might have set)? 2. How should my HTTPClient handle 302 status code? Eventually, I just have to notify the user of success and failure and not actually take him to the comments page.

  I have identified the query constructs my users normally use. would it make sense for me to create composite indexes to support those constructs and provide FIRST_ROWS capability? If I migrate from SE to IDS, I will loose the ability to write low-level functions with c-isam calls, but gain FIRST_ROWS along with other goodies like: SET-READS for index scans (onconfig USE_[KO]BATCHEDREAD), optimizer directives, parallel queries, etc?
