• Password remember does not work properly

  On the website I am working on it has been deployed but the problem I am facing is that when I enter a username and password and click on the check box to remember...It remembers the password for sometime.. wen I login in after 5 or 10 minutes it remembers the password but aftr a long period of time like about 2hours it forgets the username and password and i have to type it in all over again... this dint used to happen with the old server as even I could sign in and it remembered the password the next day until i log off... what can be the reason The session state im using is:

• Twisted Matrix and telnet server implementation

  I have a project which is essentially a game server where users connect and send text commands via telnet. The code is in C and really old and unmodular and has several bugs and missing features. The main function alone is half the code. I came to the conclusion that rewriting it in TwistedMachine could actually result in faster completement, besides other benefits. So, here is the questions: What packages and modules I should use? I see a "telnet" module inside "protocols" package. I also see "cronch" package with "ssh" and another "telnet" module. I'm a complete novice regarding Python.

• XCode 3.2.5 Cocoa project modifies linked 3rd party dylib. Why?

  I'm linking a 3rd party dylib into a cocoa project. And I arrange for XCode to copy it into the Frameworks directory of the app. But when I cmp the original dylib with the dylib in Frameworks I discover the 3rd party dylib has been modified. I have some old XCode cocoa projects which don't do this, i.e. the dylib in Frameworks is the same as the original. I've tried modifying the XCode projects to isolate what is causing the dylib to be modified but so far no luck. Any ideas?

  I want to rewrite URLs so when a user goes to; http://www.example.com/applications/newWeb/www/index.php?page=48&thiscontent=2660&date=2013-10-11&pubType=0&PublishTime=09:30:00&from=home&tabOption=1 and if the URL contains thiscontent=2660 (which in this example above, it does) I want to redirect them to; http://www.example.come/index.php/publications/finance-and-economics/departmental-resources I have about 30 different thiscontent=XXXX types and imagine I’ll have to copy and edit this rule 30 different times for any links to my old website still knocking around out there. I have access to my httpd.conf file but have never done a mod_rewrite before. I also don't really need these showing up in the error logs as 301s. Will that happen? Because at the moment there are hundreds!

  I have a web site built using asp.net with ugly URLs like /DisplayContent.aspx?id=789564. I know how to migrate the database, but the Wordpress urls will be (naturally) different. Can I simply write some mapping or do I have to include a rewrite rule for each subpage (300 pages) in .htaccess? Should I provide a rewrite rule for each existing page that would transform a full old url to the known new url, like for example: /DisplayContent.aspx?id=789798 -> /2010-5-10/Title-Of-The-Post Even if I manage to migrate the URLs, the structure of the HTML for the new content will naturally be different. How does this affect SEO? Should I run asp.net and wordpress side by side and issue the redirects from the asp.net application? What is the most efficient solution to this kind of migration of URLs without doing PHP programming?

Steps: Clear cache tables (Site Configuration Performance Clear Cached Data button) on localhost Export db and then import on live server Move files/folders to live server Edit settings.php to reflect live server config everything is working great until I make Clear Cached Data on Server. than my custom theme, custom front page, etc... all mess up :( What can be the problem? I appreciate helps so much!! Thanks! !!SORTED!! I used a subtheme for Zen, named mgf . then I had taken a back-up as mgf- somehow after I make Clear Cached Data, Drupal links to this mgf- which is old and doesnt have latest stylings. I just removed this folder from themes, and it linked to the right-latest mgf.

  I'm pretty new to Java and SWT, hoping to have one image dissolve into the next. I have one image now in a Label (relevant code): Device dev = shell.getDisplay(); try { Image photo = new Image(dev, "photo.jpg"); } catch(Exception e) { } Label label = new Label(shell, SWT.IMAGE_JPEG); label.setImage(photo); Now I'd like photo to fade into a different image at a speed that I specify. Is this possible as set up here, or do I need to delve more into the org.eclipse.swt.graphics api? Also, this will be a slide show that may contain hundreds of photos, only ever moving forward (never back to a previous image)---considering this, is there something I explicitly need to do in order to remove the old images from memory? • git is very very slow

  My project is six months old and git is very very slow. We track around 30 files which are of size 5 MB to 50 MB. Those are binary files and we keep them in git. I believe those files are making git slow. Is there a way to kill all files of size 5MB from the repository. I know I would lose all of these files and that is okay with me. Ideally I would like a command that would list all the big files ( 5MB) . I can see the list and then I say okay go ahead and delete those files and make git faster.

  All. I'm trying to use my old dll file on .net project. So I converted this unmanaged COM object to managed one by using [tlbimp.exe] util from Windows SDK. However, one method returns a Object as a return value, but whenever I try to use it, my program generates an error. The weird thing is below: //Object[] item = s.GetObjects(); //this generates an type error Object item = s.GetObjects(); //this works okay System.WriteLine(items); //prints System.Object[] rather than System.Object. It seems like it returns a pointer which contains an object array. Isn't it ? Please anyone tell me how to handle this, and is there any documentation for this issue ?

However when using the former like so (on an old project) it failed array_walk($_POST, 'mysql_real_escape_string'); Warning: mysql_real_escape_string() expects parameter 2 to be resource, string given. So I went with this slightly more ugly version foreach($_POST as $key => $value) { $_POST[$key] = mysql_real_escape_string($value); } So why didn't the first way work? • PHP - turning register globals off, what is the best way to go about fixing the code?

  I am working on a old code base, where programmers assumed that register_globals will always be on. Hence variables are used without $_GET or $_POST prefix, pretty much in every page (the code base is huge, hundreds of scripts). I tried turning it off, but the very first script (login script) goes on an infinite loop. I understand that going through one script at a time, and one line at a time and fixing the variables is probably the only option (adding the prefix $_GET or $_POST as the case may be). Has anyone does this before? How did you go about doing it? Any advice?

  I found this wonderful NSManagedObjectID. This would be very good for referencing an Entity/NSManagedObject/NSEntityDescription, right? Let's get an ID from an entity: NSEntityDescription *entity = [self newEntity]; NSManagedObjectID *objID = [entity objectID]; So... any idea how to get this objID into a string? Or better: NSData.   I have an old Access application that has a lot of code in forms and reports. The database is getting too large and I am thinking of moving the back end to SQL Server. My requirements are as follows: The DB needs to be multiuser and the users (3-5) will need to log in over the web I would prefer not to re-write the forms and reports in ASP or some other web front end. When I think about my choices, I see them as: Have an Access ADP front end and allows remote log-in to the server where it is stored. Not sure if it is possible for 2 users to simultaneously log in Distribute an ADP front end to the users, but I am not sure if it is possible to connect to a SQL Server back end over the internet, and the network traffic may be an issue. Any other solution? I appreciate all help. u

  Beginners and professional, on blogs, in forums and chatrooms - people say it everywhere: C++ oh dear god no The short form of the question: For what reason is C++ so widely disliked and people are horrified by the imagination of using it for some project? I have been using a lot of different languages, including C++ by now, and I can only say that I really like it. I'm far more horrified by Delphi than by C++. Actually, I find it's an almost perfect, compiled language! I've been doing a lot of different projects in C++ as well, ranging from 3D video games to webservers and emulators for old video game consoles. And I still do not see the problem everyone else seems to have with it!

  I am creating a TowerDefence Game in LibGDX and am now trying to replace the old Tile with a new StaticTiledMapTile. But to create a StaticTiledMapTile I need a TextureRegion, not a Texture. Now I'm trying to create a TextureRegion, which contains the whole Texture, but it doesn't seem to work. It always appears distorted. I have tried the following: TextureRegion region = new TextureRegion(new Texture("someImg.png"), 0, 0, 32, 32); StaticTileMapTile tile = new StaticTiledMapTile(region); getLayer().getCell(x,y).setTile(tile); //setting the new tile In my opinion this should work (if the image, as it is, is 32px wide and 32px high).

  what is the right way to setup VisualStuio 2010 for working with *.cl files? I have added *.cl under Tool/Text editor/File extensions and copied usertype.dat into the common7/ide folder, but VS underlines keywords like float4 or cross. Is it necessary to add some key in registry or can somebody propose a tutorial? Thanks in advance. PS i have already asked similar question old one question, but now i am looking explicit for a solution with vs2010. It is not bad, but really nerves and deflects me from programming tasks.

  I have a database which is synchronized against an external web source twice a day. This web source contains a bunch of entries, which have names and some extra information about these names. Some of these names are silly and I want to rename them when inserting them into my own database. To rename these silly names, I have a standard dictionary as such: RENAME_TABLE = { "Wsird" : "Weird", ... } As you can see, this is where UTF-8 comes into play. This is the function which performs renaming of all the problematic entries: def rename_all_entries(): all_keys = RENAME_TABLE.keys() entries = Entry.objects.filter(name__in=all_keys) for entry in entries: entry.name = RENAME_TABLE[entry.name] entry.save() So it tries to find the old name in RENAME_TABLE and renames the entry if found. However, I get a KeyError exception when using RENAME_TABLE[entry.name]. Now I'm lost, what do I do? I have... # -*- coding: utf-8 -*- ...in the top of the Python file.

I have seen various post on the net proposing solutions that works for some and not for others I have tried reseting winsock but nothing. If I vpn to my work then I can browse. Did it ever happen to you in a real life scenario? I'm only interested in the communication between the CPU and the memory.

  Hello, I would like to use a trigger on table which will be fired every time a row is inserted, updated, deleted. I wrote something like this: CREATE or REPLACE TRIGGER test001 AFTER INSERT OR DELETE OR UPDATE ON tabletest001 REFERENCING OLD AS old_buffer NEW AS new_buffer FOR EACH ROW WHEN (new_buffer.field1 = 'HBP00') and it works. Since I would like to do the same things if the row is inserted, updated or deleted I would like to know what's happening in the trigger. I think I can manage to find if the row in inserted or updated (I can check the old_buffer with the new_buffer). How can I know if the row has been deleted? Alberto

  I have D1 and D2 which derive from B. When i write var ls = (IEnumerable<B>)(cond?lsD1:lsD2); I get a runtime cast error. IIRC this is a well known problem. My question is 1) Is this allowed yet? perhaps in .NET 4? I have 2010 but my project is a few months old, large and targets 3.5. 2) Is there a simple workaround? I only need to read the list not add anything or remove. Actually, ToArray() would probably work but is there another solution?

After the click on the circle, the circle should jump from the original place to a new one (disappear from the old place and appear on the new one). What would be the best way to do it?
