  I've just installed Mercurial on my Mountain Lion Max (10.8) and on my first commit I'm getting the error: abort: no username supplied (see "hg help config") I've seen a load of answers which suggest I need to create or copy a file form a certain location and paste it into another location and add my username and email to the document. If that is the right thing to do: Where is the file I need to copy (or what is the file called that I need to create) Where do I put that file Do I just need to add the following two lines to the file? I'm not sure how / why it is trying to convert "Category" to integer as in the db it is a string. Can you please tell me how to avoid this error? thanks.

• Prevent .htaccess syntax error

  Hi, As part of one our system's we enable a user in the backoffice to add a block of 301 redirects should they need to. This is just a textarea which then populates a specific area of a .htaccess file. As much as this may seem insecure it has only previously used internally by people who know what they are doing but for various reasons they cannot access the specific file. We need now to allow more access to this function, not for the general public, but for people that probably have far less knowledge of regexp etc and syntax in htaccess files. Obviously the major concern here is the user enters some bad syntax and makes their entire site, including the backoffice where they could fix the issue, totally inaccessible without manual intervention. What approaches can i take to make sure that they do not break their site? A htaccess syntax check? copy the file elsewhere and check it doesnt generate a 500 error (with cURL or similar)?. Would welcome any ideas. Thanks.

• PDO:sqlite doesnt INSERT data, yet no error

They all point at the if's. i also get a ; expected error at the end of Card c2). whats going wrong here?

  Hi all, i am trying to use a jQuery scrollbar called "Jscrollhorizontalpane". when i am trying to use it i get the following error message: "$(window).width is not a function" in firebug's console. i am new to jQuery do this might be very basic but still, i dont know what that means and why there is a problem. the scroller comes in a bundle with a few files, one of which is called "jScrollHorizontalPane.js" and i believe it holds the code for the scroller. i tried replacing $ signs there with the word "jQuery" (in case there is a conflict) but it didnt seem to help. also important to add that on the same page i am using another jQuery scroller (a vertical one as opposed to the horizontal on mentioned above) which works just fine and when i examined it's .js file, i could spot lines with "$(window).width". any ideas?

• Uncaught syntax error: Adding <li> elements to an <ul>

  I keep getting an uncaught syntex error which I know usually means your code has a missing closing something. I keep failing to see what it is that I am missing. The idea of the function is that it extracts the a links ID and Text content and add's it to an un-ordered list. The links have a class of 'ingredient_add' and the unordered list has an ID of 'ingredientsAdded'.   if variable is not assigned,then it takes the default value at run time. for example int A1; if i will check the value of A1 at runtime it will be 0; then why at compile time it throws a error of unassigned value; why clr dont use to alot the default value at runtime; int A1; int B1 = A1+10; it shud be 11 as the default value of A1 is 0; there project property where i can check for "assignn defalut values for unassigned variable"; can any one tell me where i can find it;

• Mercurial adding new file gives no match found error

  I have a strange problem with updating Mercurial. Everytime when I add a file to my repository and then update another location of the repository (for example with in CI process), the error "no match found" occures. Then when I remove to whole folder and clone it again there are no problems and the new added file(s) are there. Updating and removing doesnt give problems When I do "a" Verify the following is shown: data/test.txt.i@54: missing revlog! 54: empty or missing test.txt test.txt@54: b80de5d13875 in manifests not found 3 integrity errors encountered! (first damaged changeset appears to be 54) Any idea what could be causing this?

• Old functions return 'undefined' error once I add a jquery reference

  Disregard this question: I've simply confused <script src="..."></script> tag and <script> [some functions] </scipt> tags. I have this function function OnLoad() { ShowHideConfirmAnswers(); return true; } triggered by onload event: <body onload=OnLoad()> It works fine until I add src="jquery-1.4.2.js" to the script element. From this moment I get "OnLoad is not defined" error, and the same happens to every other javascript function.

  I have 2 projects linked and these 2 projects each have a package under them. XProject - XPackage - XClass - X1Method(); X2Method(); YProject - YPackage - YClass - Y1Method(); I'm trying to call X1 and X2 methods from Y1 Method. I can call X1 Method but when I call X2 method I get a runtime error (java.lang.NoSuchMethodError:) All methods are public and there is nothing wrong with method names. It is just nonsense to have one of them working while other is giving runtime errors. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

  HI, I am deploying a VB6 application on client machine. The Application need to access code from a C#.NET dll. I created a COM object of the .NET dll and used it VB 6 using the side by side versioning (Registration free COM). It is running fine on the development machine but on the client machine it is throwing an error "ActiveX Component cannot create Object" I created two manifest files one for the VB application and the other one for the C# application. I embedded the C# manifest file in the C#.NET dll through visual studio 2008. Am I missing some step. Please help me out. Thanks in advance.

  I have created one SSRS text report. I have built and deployed it successfully. I am also able to view it from the report manager succesfully. I am a local admin on windows server but not on SQL Server. Issue :- I am trying to schedule a report to run on a daily basis. When I go to Data sources to store my windows id credentials, it's not allowing me to do so throwing below error. The permissions granted to user 'app\abcid' are insufficient for performing this operation. (rsAccessDenied) Things I have tried :- Added my windows domain id to report manager and given all roles that are there still no success. Added server to the trusted sites in the IE, still no success.

  I have a factorymethod that either returns an object of baseclass or one that is of derivedclass (a derived class of baseclass). The derived class has a method virtual void foo(int x) that takes one argument. baseclass however has virtual void foo() without an argument. In my code, a factory method returns a pointer of type bar that definetly points to an object of class derivedclass. However since this is only known at runtime I get a compiler error saying that foo() does not take an argument. Then it gives the following instructions to execute: $ git clone git://github.com/ruhoh/blog.git USERNAME.ruhoh.com $ cd USERNAME.ruhoh.com $ git remote set-url origin [email protected]:USERNAME/USERNAME.ruhoh.com.git $ git push origin master I am able to execute the first three lines and then on the fourth I am asked to enter my passphrase for /home/nredyssuts/.ssh/id_rsa I do that correctly and then bam! ERROR: Repository not found. fatal: the remote end hung up unexpectedly I'm not sure why this is happening at all. This is a public repository.
