  • Any PHP MVC framework planning to use 5.3 features?

    - by alexandrul
I would like to get started with PHP, and 5.3 release seems to bring many nice features (namespaces, lambda functions, and many others). I have found some MVC frameworks, and some of them support only PHP 5: PHP Frameworks PHP MVC Frameworks Model–view–controller on Wikipedia but can anyone recommend one of those MVC frameworks that plans to actively use PHP 5.3 features, not just being compatible with PHP 5.3? • Identifying Swing component at a particular screen coordinate? (And manually dispatching MouseEvents

    - by DVA
I'm doing some work making a Java app compatible with alternative input devices. Unfortunately, the device in question has a Java API that's barely into the alpha stages right now, so it's pretty poor. What I need to do is essentially set up a replacement structure for the dispatch of MouseEvents. Does anyone know if there's a way in Swing to take a screen coordinate and find out what Swing component is displayed on top at that screen point?

  • How to generate a LONG guid?

    - by Ron
I would like to generate a long UUID - something like the session key used by gmail. It should be at least 256 chars and no more than 512. It can contain all alpha-numeric chars and a few special chars (the ones below the function keys on the keyboard). Has this been done already or is there a sample out there? C++ or C#

  • Is there a simple way to let a layer throw an smooth shadow?

    - by mystify
I was drawing a path into a layer. Lets say I can't access that drawing code in any way, because it comes from a compiled lib. Now I want to let that layer throw a shadow which matches the shape of its irregular content shape. Is there an easy way to do it? Or must I draw like 20 of those layers and scale them up on every iteration, adjusting their alpha and letting the GPU do the extraordinarily heavy compositing?

  • May be an IE z-index bug?

    - by baikaishiuc
    Below is my code. when open the page in ie browser, then select the text in div, the text will be replaced by some shadow quad blank . If you delete a line z-index:0, in css class test1, the ie will perform correctly. In my project , the z-index must be set greater than zero, so I couldn't delete the line. I found a solution is to set bg_img.filter = "" when pannel.z-index greater than 0, then ie will also working good. But unfortunately, the bg_img.filter.alpha must be set, too. So how could I do? test .test1 { position:absolute; background:#ffffff; left:20px; top:20px; border:1px solid; width:198px; height:500px; filter: progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Shadow(color="#999999", Direction=135, Strength=5); z-index:0; } </style> <script> function init () { var pannel = document.createElement ('div'); var bg_img = document.createElement ('div'); var head = document.createElement ('div'); pannel.setAttribute('class', 'test1'); pannel.setAttribute('className', 'test1'); bg_img.style.cssText = "position:relative;left:0px;top:0px;" + "width:198px;" + "height:500px;" + "filter:alpha(opacity=100);"; head.style.cssText = "position:absolute;" + "left:0px;" + "top:0px;" + "width:180px;" + "height:20px;"; document.body.appendChild (pannel); pannel.appendChild(bg_img); pannel.appendChild(head); head.innerHTML = "<div>yusutechasdf</div><div>innerhtml</div>" } </script>

  • A good extension to JSF that adheres to JSF2.0?

    - by Riz
Hi, I have been looking for a JSF extension (Richfaces, IceFaces, and more) but all seem to be according to JSF1.x and ones for JSF2.0 are still alpha or in development and most of the documentation assumes you're using JSF1.2. Is there any production well known extension available?

  • Loading material parameteres from FBX in XNA

    - by M_F
I've got some material parameters stored in the FBX file (DiffuseFactor, ShininessExponent, SpecularFactor and others), but I can't get to them using Effect.Parameters nor BasicEffect (they've got only the basic stuff - like EmmisiveColor or alpha). I know, that I can try to write a Effect-derived class, but is there any other way? A built-in feature or maybe some half-raw parameters stored somewhere?

  • Do I need to create icons other than RGBA for my Windows app?

    - by user843732
I'm curious if anyone still creates icons other than RGB/A (or 32-bit with alpha-channel) for your Windows apps? PS. I know that suggested model is to create 256-color versions of icons, but I always struggle with those. If I automatically convert them in an icon editor they totally decimate the look of my original icons with jagged edges and circa-Windows95 look. So if those are still required, does anyone know the stats on how many people are still using color settings other then 32-bit TrueColor?

  • If I'm running my App Engine app on localhost, will I not see a value for X-AppEngine-Country?

    - by Bartholomew
According to the Release Notes: All user request have an X-AppEngine-Country header which contains the ISO-3166-1 alpha-2 country code for the user, based on the IP address of the client request. My app is running on localhost with the 1.5.1 Java release which contains the X-AppEngine-Country header but I don't seem to be receiving any value for this header in my requests. Do I have to deploy the app to a production instance to test this feature?

  • Does strokeRect: of NSBezierPath always draw a transparent rect? (Cocoa OSX)

    - by Michael Minerva
I am trying to make a custom selection box for an image view I created and I am trying to use strokeRect: from NSBezierPath but it always seems to be transparent. Called the method set to set the color the blackColor and then also tried using olorWithDeviceRed:green:blue:alpha: but no matter what I have tried the rectangle created always seems to be transparent. Is there a better method to use to draw an empty rectangle?
