  • Dynamics CRM 2011 - WCF error

    - by bigtv
I am trying to get to grips with MS Dynamics CRM 2011. I have have the beta installed on a VM and things look pretty good - some great new features etc. However I am getting an exception when trying to connect to the new XRMServices (updated 2011 WCF web services) Exception: System.ServiceModel.ServiceActivationException: The service '/organame/XRMServices/2011/Organization.svc' cannot be activated due to an exception during compilation. The exception message is: 'System.ServiceModel.Description.UseRequestHeadersForMetadataAddressBehavior'. This collection only supports one instance of each type. Parameter name: item. ---> System.ArgumentException: The value could not be added to the collection, as the collection already contains an item of the same type: 'System.ServiceModel.Description.UseRequestHeadersForMetadataAddressBehavior'. This collection only supports one instance of each type. Parameter name: item The only reference to this exception I gave found suggests that it is caused by multiple bindings configured in IIS, which in my case I did have, but the problem persists even after removing them. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

  • Binding "Text-Property" of a derived textbox to another textbox doesn´t work

    - by Jehof
Hello, i have a class 'MyTextBox' that derives from the default TextBox in Silverlight. This class currently contains no additional code. I set up a binding in xaml to bind the Text-Property of MyTextbox to another Textbox to reflect the input made in the Textbox. The effect is that MyTextBox doesn´t update and not display the text of the other Textbox. Additional i made an equal binding for a normal Textbox. And this works. Here´s the XAML for the bindings. <UserControl x:Class="Silverlight.Sample.Dummy" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" xmlns:d="http://schemas.microsoft.com/expression/blend/2008" xmlns:mc="http://schemas.openxmlformats.org/markup-compatibility/2006" xmlns:my="clr-namespace:Sample" mc:Ignorable="d" d:DesignHeight="300" d:DesignWidth="400"> <StackPanel x:Name="LayoutRoot" Background="White"> <TextBox Height="23" x:Name="textBox2" Width="120" /> <TextBox Text="{Binding ElementName=textBox2, Path=Text, Mode=TwoWay}" Width="120" /> <my:NumberTextBox Width="120" Text="{Binding ElementName=textBox2, Path=Text, Mode=OneWay}" /> </StackPanel> Is there something special to set for binding, when i derive from a control. PS: I tried a binding to a dummy object with INotifyPropertyChanged and set it as DataContext for the existing Textboxes. This test works as expected and my derived textbox gets updated.

  • command binding for ribbon control

    - by kartik
I'm trying to use the Microsoft ribbon control programatically using C#. Everything is fine but I'm unable to bind the command through the RibbonCommand. Can anyone give me an example of how to do this? My actual code is: Ribbon rbn = new Ribbon(); RibbonTab file = new RibbonTab(); file.Name = "file"; file.Label = "FILE"; RibbonTab edit = new RibbonTab(); edit.Name = "edit"; edit.Label = "Edit"; RibbonGroupPanel rbgp = new RibbonGroupPanel(); RibbonGroup rbg = new RibbonGroup(); RibbonButton rbtn = new RibbonButton(); rbtn.Content = "New"; RibbonCommand rcomnd = new RibbonCommand(); rcomnd.LabelTitle = "NEW"; rcomnd.ToolTipDescription = "THIS IS NEW"; rcomnd.LargeImageSource = imgSource; rcomnd.Execute(rbtn, rbtn); rbtn.IsEnabled = true; //rcomnd.SmallImageSource = imgSource; rcomnd.CanExecute +=new CanExecuteRoutedEventHandler(rcomnd_CanExecute); rcomnd.Executed +=new ExecutedRoutedEventHandler(rcomnd_Executed); CommandBinding cmdb = new CommandBinding(ApplicationCommands.New); cmdb.Command = ApplicationCommands.New; cmdb.Executed +=new ExecutedRoutedEventHandler(cmdb_Executed); CommandBind.Add(cmdb); //rcomnd.Executed += new ExecutedRoutedEventHandler(OnAddNewEntry);*/ rbtn.Click +=new System.Windows.RoutedEventHandler(rbtn_Click); rbtn.Command = rcomnd; But the bindings are not working and the button is not enabled.

  • wpf treeview ObjectDataProvider update - how?

    - by wonea
    I've been having trouble updating the data bindings which relates to a treeview. The dataset is mapped onto the ObjectDataProvider, passed through two data templates. Now I've tried updating the ObjectDataProvider with two calls, hoping that they would trigger the CreateTheDataSet() method, and rebuild the tree. Tried calling; thetreeView.ItemTemplate.LoadContent(); thetreeView.Items.Refresh(); Program code; <Window.Resources> <ObjectDataProvider x:Key="dataSetProvider" MethodName="CreateDataSet" ObjectType="{x:Type local:DataSetCreator}" /> <DataTemplate x:Key="DetailTemplate"> <TextBlock Text="{Binding Path=personname}" /> </DataTemplate> <HierarchicalDataTemplate x:Key="MasterTemplate" ItemsSource="{Binding Master2Detail}" ItemTemplate="{StaticResource DetailTemplate}"> <TextBlock Text="{Binding Path=jobname}" /> </HierarchicalDataTemplate> </Window.Resources> <x:Name="thetreeView" DataContext="{StaticResource dataSetProvider}" ItemsSource="{Binding compMaster}" ItemTemplate="{StaticResource MasterTemplate}" /> My dataset creation class; public static class DataSetCreator { public static DataSet CreateTheDataSet() { DataSet dataset = new DataSet(); // Create dataset ... blah blah return dataset; } }

  • WPF Constrain the resize of a canvas' child object to the dimensions of the canvas

    - by Scott
Given the following XAML: <Window x:Class="AdornerTesting.Window1" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" Title="Window1" Height="500" Width="500" Loaded="Window_Loaded"> <Grid Name="grid"> <Canvas Name="canvas" Width="400" Height="400" Background="LightGoldenrodYellow"> <RichTextBox Name="richTextBox" Canvas.Top="10" Canvas.Left="10" BorderBrush="Black" BorderThickness="2" Width="200" Height="200" MaxWidth="{Binding RelativeSource={RelativeSource FindAncestor, AncestorType={x:Type Canvas}},Path=ActualWidth}" MaxHeight="{Binding RelativeSource={RelativeSource FindAncestor, AncestorType={x:Type Canvas}},Path=ActualHeight}"/> </Canvas> </Grid> </Window> and a set of adorners being added to the RichTextBox in the Loaded event like so: AdornerLayer adornerLayer = AdornerLayer.GetAdornerLayer(richTextBox); adornerLayer.Add(new ResizeAdorner(richTextBox)); How do I keep from being able to resize the RichTextBox beyond the visble bounds of the Canvas? The ResizeAdorner is essentially the same code that can be found in the MSDN adorner example and it works just fine. Should I be doing something with the bindings of MaxWidth and MaxHeight in the code-behind to calculate how the RichTextBox can be resized? Or is there a way to do this in XAML?

  • Invalid message signature when running OpenId Provider on Cluster

    - by Garth
Introduction We have an OpenID Provider which we created using the DotNetOpenAuth component. Everything works great when we run the provider on a single node, but when we move the provider to a load balanced cluster where multiple servers are handling requests for each session we get issue with the message signing as the DotNetOpenAuth component seems to be using something unique from each cluster node to create the signature. Exception DotNetOpenAuth.Messaging.Bindings.InvalidSignatureException: Message signature was incorrect. at DotNetOpenAuth.OpenId.ChannelElements.SigningBindingElement.ProcessIncomingMessage(IProtocolMessage message) in c:\BuildAgent\work\7ab20c0d948e028f\src\DotNetOpenAuth\OpenId\ChannelElements\SigningBindingElement.cs:line 139 at DotNetOpenAuth.Messaging.Channel.ProcessIncomingMessage(IProtocolMessage message) in c:\BuildAgent\work\7ab20c0d948e028f\src\DotNetOpenAuth\Messaging\Channel.cs:line 940 at DotNetOpenAuth.OpenId.ChannelElements.OpenIdChannel.ProcessIncomingMessage(IProtocolMessage message) in c:\BuildAgent\work\7ab20c0d948e028f\src\DotNetOpenAuth\OpenId\ChannelElements\OpenIdChannel.cs:line 172 at DotNetOpenAuth.Messaging.Channel.ReadFromRequest(HttpRequestInfo httpRequest) in c:\BuildAgent\work\7ab20c0d948e028f\src\DotNetOpenAuth\Messaging\Channel.cs:line 378 at DotNetOpenAuth.OpenId.RelyingParty.OpenIdRelyingParty.GetResponse(HttpRequestInfo httpRequestInfo) in c:\BuildAgent\work\7ab20c0d948e028f\src\DotNetOpenAuth\OpenId\RelyingParty\OpenIdRelyingParty.cs:line 493 Setup We have the machine config setup to use the same machine key on all cluster nodes and we have setup an out of process session with SQL Server. Question How do we configure the key used by DotNetOpenAuth to sign its messages so that the client will trust responses from all servers in the cluster during the same session?

  • Using Ninject 2.0 with ASP .Net 3.5

    - by GK
Hi, I am trying to use Ninject 2.0 with Asp .Net 3.5 web application. Following are the DLLS and it's versions I am using. Ninject.dll - v2.0.0.0 Ninject.Extensions.Logging.dll v2.0.0.0 Ninject.Web.dll v1.0.0.0 In my global.ascx.cs I have following method. protected override IKernel CreateKernel() { IKernel kernel = new StandardKernel(); kernel.Bind<IDataAccess>().To<DataAccessEntBlock>().InSingletonScope(); return kernel; } When I run the application I get following error. Error activating ILoggerFactory No matching bindings are available, and the type is not self-bindable. Activation path: 1) Request for ILoggerFactory Suggestions: 1) Ensure that you have defined a binding for ILoggerFactory. 2) If the binding was defined in a module, ensure that the module has been loaded into the kernel. 3) Ensure you have not accidentally created more than one kernel. 4) If you are using automatic module loading, ensure the search path and filters are correct. I am not understanding even though I am not trying to register Logger, it seems it is trying to create it's own. How can I resolve this error ? Do I have to use any of the Ninject's extension Logger ? Thanks GK

  • Custom activity in WF 4.0: WorkflowItemsPresenter wont show converted array

    - by lotusnote
Hi There, we have an Array which is converted via a Binded Converter: else if (TTools.IsOfBaseClass(value.GetType(), typeof(System.Activities.Presentation.Model.ModelItemCollection))) { OurBaseClass[] test = (value as ModelItemCollection).GetCurrentValue() as OurBaseClass[]; List<OurBaseClass> listOfArray = new List<OurBaseClass>(); foreach (OurBaseClass item in test) { listOfArray.Add(item); } return listOfArray; } the convertion works well but it is not shown in our dynamically gui gui code with bindings: <sap:WorkflowItemsPresenter xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:sap="clr-namespace:System.Activities.Presentation;assembly=System.Activities.Presentation" Grid.Column="0" Name="MyArray" Items="{Binding Path=ModelItem.MyArray}" MinWidth="150" Margin="0"> <sap:WorkflowItemsPresenter.SpacerTemplate > <DataTemplate> <TextBlock Foreground="DarkGray" Margin="30">..</TextBlock> </DataTemplate> </sap:WorkflowItemsPresenter.SpacerTemplate> <sap:WorkflowItemsPresenter.ItemsPanel> <ItemsPanelTemplate> <StackPanel Orientation="Vertical" HorizontalAlignment="Center" Margin="0"/> </ItemsPanelTemplate> </sap:WorkflowItemsPresenter.ItemsPanel> </sap:WorkflowItemsPresenter> Why is the gui not shown as a List??? it works well without converter. Thanks

  • why does windows authentication / impersonation fail on asp.net application with iis 7.5 / windows 7

    - by velvet sheen
hi there; i'm troubleshooting why i cannot get past the login dialog on an asp.net site configured for windows authentication and impersonation. help me before i switch to os x development and objective-c i have an asp.net 2.0 application and i'm trying to deploy it on windows 7 with iis 7.5. i've created a new site, and bound it to localhost and a fully qualified domain name. the fqdn is in my hosts file, and is redirected to 127.0.0.1 the site is also running with an appdomain i created, with integrated pipeline mode, and the process model identity is set to ApplicationPoolIdentity. web.config includes the following: <trust level="High" /> <authentication mode="Windows" /> <authorization> <deny users="?"/> </authorization> <identity impersonate="true"/> acl on the directory for the site is desperation set to everyone full control, the application pool virtual account (windows 7 thing) is set to full control on the physical directory for the site also. iis authentication has asp.net impersonation enabled, and windows authentication enabled. when i connect to the site as localhost, it permits me to get past the login prompt and the application loads without incident. when i connect to the site as the fqdn set in the host headers bindings for this site/ip/port, i cannot get past the login prompt. clicking cancel throws to a http 401.1 error page. why? thanks very much in advance.

  • IIS: No Session being handed out, but only in production

    - by Wayne
    I've reproduced this in a simple project - details below. It's a WCF service in ASP.NET compatibility mode. What I'm seeing is that when run on the dev machine (Win7), a HTTP session id is available inside the service operation (HttpContext.Current.Session is non-null). But when deployed to the server (Win2k8R2), I get "No session". On both machines the app is configured to use the classic app pool, and the app pools themselves are configured identically as far as I can tell. The only differences I can discern between the two applications is that on the dev box, under "Handler Mappings", ISAPI-dll is disabled (not on the server), and on the server there's a spurious handler called "AboMapperCustom-7105160" (does not exist on the dev box). What should I be looking at next? Am I missing something head-slappingly simple? Service is this: [AspNetCompatibilityRequirements(RequirementsMode = AspNetCompatibilityRequirementsMode.Allowed)] public class Service2 { [OperationContract] public string DoWork() { if (HttpContext.Current != null) { if (HttpContext.Current.Session != null) { return "SessionId: " + HttpContext.Current.Session.SessionID; } else { return "No Session"; } } else { return "No Context"; } } } Config is: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <configuration> <configSections> <section name="log4net" type="log4net.Config.Log4NetConfigurationSectionHandler,log4net, Version=1.2.9.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b32731d11ce58905" /> <sectionGroup name="system.web.extensions" type="System.Web.Configuration.SystemWebExtensionsSectionGroup, System.Web.Extensions, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31BF3856AD364E35"> <sectionGroup name="scripting" type="System.Web.Configuration.ScriptingSectionGroup, System.Web.Extensions, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31BF3856AD364E35"> <section name="scriptResourceHandler" type="System.Web.Configuration.ScriptingScriptResourceHandlerSection, System.Web.Extensions, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31BF3856AD364E35" requirePermission="false" allowDefinition="MachineToApplication" /> <sectionGroup name="webServices" type="System.Web.Configuration.ScriptingWebServicesSectionGroup, System.Web.Extensions, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31BF3856AD364E35"> <section name="jsonSerialization" type="System.Web.Configuration.ScriptingJsonSerializationSection, System.Web.Extensions, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31BF3856AD364E35" requirePermission="false" allowDefinition="Everywhere" /> <section name="profileService" type="System.Web.Configuration.ScriptingProfileServiceSection, System.Web.Extensions, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31BF3856AD364E35" requirePermission="false" allowDefinition="MachineToApplication" /> <section name="authenticationService" type="System.Web.Configuration.ScriptingAuthenticationServiceSection, System.Web.Extensions, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31BF3856AD364E35" requirePermission="false" allowDefinition="MachineToApplication" /> <section name="roleService" type="System.Web.Configuration.ScriptingRoleServiceSection, System.Web.Extensions, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31BF3856AD364E35" requirePermission="false" allowDefinition="MachineToApplication" /> </sectionGroup> </sectionGroup> </sectionGroup> </configSections> <log4net> <appender name="LogFile" type="log4net.Appender.RollingFileAppender"> <file value="C:\Temp\Test.log4net.log" /> <rollingStyle value="Once" /> <maxSizeRollBackups value="10" /> <layout type="log4net.Layout.PatternLayout"> <conversionPattern value="%d{ISO8601} [%5t] %-5p %c{1} %m%n" /> </layout> </appender> <root> <level value="DEBUG" /> <appender-ref ref="LogFile" /> </root> </log4net> <appSettings /> <connectionStrings /> <system.web> <compilation debug="true"> <assemblies> <add assembly="System.Core, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=B77A5C561934E089" /> <add assembly="System.Data.DataSetExtensions, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=B77A5C561934E089" /> <add assembly="System.Web.Extensions, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31BF3856AD364E35" /> <add assembly="System.Xml.Linq, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=B77A5C561934E089" /> </assemblies> </compilation> <!-- The <authentication> section enables configuration of the security authentication mode used by ASP.NET to identify an incoming user. --> <authentication mode="Windows" /> <!-- The <customErrors> section enables configuration of what to do if/when an unhandled error occurs during the execution of a request.   • WPF creating custom control - creating control like SpinBox extending TextBox

    - by veedoo
Hi, What is the best way to extend a control? Lets choose for example SpinBox - we want to extend TextBox to SpinBox - just to add two buttons on the right side, which each one on click checks if Text property is a valid number and if it is increases or decreases the value by 1. Suposse that we have a lot of code using TextBox (Text, IsReadOnly properties and bindings etc.) so we want to replace TextBox by SpinBox without touching rest of the code. 1) we can inherit TextBox - so we have exactly the same interface, but how to add the buttons ?? 2) we can inherit from some layout control - eg. DockPanel - we can add buttons, but we lose TextBox interface. 3) after quick read about ControlTemplates I'm not sure, but I believe that we can add buttons and their logic using ControlTemplates 4) like about templates I'm not sure, but I hope we can inherit decorator class to create decorator with the buttons - we lose interface, but can add TextBox as a child I think that the best solutions is to combine 3) and 4) - create a decorator class and use it in a control template for TextBox. I would be grateful for your ideas and simple code how to implement 3 and 4, especially with code (c#), not xaml. Regards

  • Binding from View-Model to View-Model of a child User Control in Silverlight? 2 sources - 1 target..

    - by andrej351
Hi there, So i have a UserControl for one of my Views and have another 'child' UserControl inside that. The outer 'parent' UserControl has a Collection on its View-Model and a Grid control on it to display a list of Items. I want to place another UserControl inside this UserControl to display a form representing the details of one Item. The outer / parent UserControl's View-Model already has a property on it to hold the currently selected Item and i would like to bind this to a DependancyProperty on the inner / child UserControl. I would then like to bind that DependancyProperty to a property on the child UserControl's View-Model. I can then set the DependancyProperty once in XAML with a binding expression and have the child UserControl do all its work in its View-Model like it should. The code i have looks like this.. Parent UserControl: <UserControl x:Class="ItemsListView" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" DataContext="{Binding Source={StaticResource ServiceLocator}, Path=ItemsListViewModel}"> <!-- Grid Control here... --> <ItemDetailsView Item="{Binding Source={StaticResource ServiceLocator}, Path=ItemsListViewModel.SelectedItem}" /> </UserControl> Child UserControl: <UserControl x:Class="ItemDetailsView" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" DataContext="{Binding Source={StaticResource ServiceLocator}, Path=ItemDetailsViewModel}" ItemDetailsView.Item="{Binding Source={StaticResource ServiceLocator}, Path=ItemDetailsViewModel.Item, Mode=TwoWay}"> <!-- Form controls here... --> </UserControl> The selected Item is bound to the DependancyProperty fine. However from the DependancyProperty to the child View-Model does not. It appears to be a situation where there are two concurrent bindings which need to work but with the same target for two sources. Why won't the second (in the child UserControl) binding work?? Is there a way to acheive the behaviour I'm after?? Cheers.

  • WPF Toolkit Charting and IndependentValueBinding, IndependentValuePath

    - by Joel Barsotti
So I'm having a problem with the charting engine from the WPF toolkit. We haven't moved our data to a proper object model, so the ItemSource is backed with a DataView. First attempt <chartingToolkit:ScatterSeries x:Name="TargetSeries" DataPointStyle="{StaticResource TargetStyle}" ItemsSource="{Binding Path=TargetSeriesData}" IndependentValueBinding="{Binding Path=TargetSeries_X}" DependentValueBinding="{Binding Path=TargetSeries_X}" /> This crashes because, I believe, it thinks the bindings are the values to plot or some sort of mismatch. Second attempt <chartingToolkit:ScatterSeries x:Name="TargetSeries" DataPointStyle="{StaticResource TargetStyle}" ItemsSource="{Binding Path=TargetSeriesData}" IndependentValuePath="{Binding Path=TargetSeries_X}" DependentValuePath="{Binding Path=TargetSeries_X}" /> This crashes during the init step becaue the Path properties aren't backed with dependency properties and therefore cannot be bound. Third attempt <chartingToolkit:ScatterSeries x:Name="TargetSeries" DataPointStyle="{StaticResource TargetStyle}" ItemsSource="{Binding Path=TargetSeriesData}" IndependentValuePath="targetFooXColumnName" DependentValuePath="targetFooYColumnName" /> Now this works! But I wanted to use the binding so I can switch from using the targetFooXColumnName to the targetFooBarXColumnName. So this solution will cause a whole lot of hacky looking code to switch the Path's manually. Anyway to fix this? Can I use some sort of convertor to get the Binding properties to correctly pull the data from the columns in the DataView? Thanks, Joel

  • TimoutException occurs over a network but not locally

    - by Gibsnag
I have a program with three WCF services and when I run them locally (i.e: Server and Clients are all on localhost) everything works. However when I test them across a network I get a TimoutException on two services but not the other. I've disabled the firewalls on all the machines involved in the test. I can both ping the server and access the wsdl "You have created a service" webpage from the client The service that works uses a BasicHttpBinding with streaming and the two which don't work use WSDualHttpBinding. The Services that use WSDualHttpBinding both have CallbackContracts. • WCF 3.5 to 3.0 backwards compatibility with callback services

    - by Miral
I have a set of existing WCF services hosted in a .NET 3.0 app. They're using the WSHttp bindings and no security. I need to connect to these from a .NET 3.5 client. This seems to be working fine for the one-way services, but I also have some callback services (with CallbackContract and SessionMode = Required, using WSDualHttpBinding); these fail to connect with a timeout somewhere in the ReliableSession code. The service side cannot be changed (it's a historic version issue). Can I modify something on the client side to get this working? (I can connect with a .NET 3.0 client just fine, but I'd rather not be forced to try that path.) The open operation did not complete within the allotted timeout of 00:00:09.9410000. The time allotted to this operation may have been a portion of a longer timeout. • Recovering Broken Connections In A Peer to Peer Network

    - by peter
Hi All, I am implementing a peer to peer network using WCF NetPeerTcpBinding connections. I am using a central server which itself overrides the class CustomPeerResolverService. All this service does is register peers, and publish information about the peers to each other. On my server application I can visibly see which peers are currently connected on the GUI. My question is, each peer has a TCP connection to the server. When I unplug my network connection all connections to this server are severed. When the network comes back online those connections to the server are not re-established. What do I need to do to make sure they are re-established? Here is what each of the peer to peer bindings look like on the peers. <netPeerTcpBinding> <binding name="PeerTcpConfig" port="0"> <security mode="None"></security> <resolver mode="Custom"> <custom address="net.tcp://127.0.0.1/GlobalStoreAPIServer" binding="netTcpBinding" bindingConfiguration="TcpConfig"> </custom> </resolver> </binding> </netPeerTcpBinding> So what that means is that my server has an endpoint at 'net.tcp://127.0.0.1/GlobalStoreAPIServer'

  • How does Visual Studio's source control integration work with Perforce?

    - by Weeble
We're using Perforce and Visual Studio. Whenever we create a branch, some projects will not be bound to source control unless we use "Open from Source Control", but other projects work regardless. From my investigations, I know some of the things involved: In our .csproj files, there are these settings: <SccProjectName <SccLocalPath <SccAuxPath <SccProvider Sometimes they are all set to "SAK", sometimes not. It seems things are more likely to work if these say "SAK". In our .sln file, there are settings for many of the projects: SccLocalPath# SccProjectFilePathRelativizedFromConnection# SccProjectUniqueName# (The # is a number that identifies each project.) SccLocalPath is a path relative to the solution file. Often it is ".", sometimes it is the folder that the project is in, and sometimes it is ".." or "..\..", and it seems to be bad for it to point to a folder above the solution folder. The relativized one is a path from that folder to the project file. It will be missing entirely if SccLocalPath points to the project's folder. If the SccLocalPath has ".." in it, this path might include folder names that are not the same between branches, which I think causes problems. So, to finally get to the specifics I'd like to know: What happens when you do "Change source control" and bind projects? How does Visual Studio decide what to put in the project and solution files? What happens when you do "Open from source control"? What's this "connection" folder that SccLocalPath and SccProjectFilePathRelativizedFromConnection refer to? How does Visual Studio/Perforce pick it? Is there some recommended way to make the source control bindings continue to work even when you create a new branch of the solution?

  • Property being immediately reset by ApplicationSetting Property Binding

    - by Slider345
I have a .net 2.0 windows application written in c#, which currently uses several project settings to store user configurations. The forms in the application are made up of lots of user controls, each of which have properties that need to be set to these project settings. Right now these settings are manually assigned to the user control properties. I was hoping to simplify the code by replacing the manual implementation with ApplicationSettings Property Bindings. However, my first property is not behaving properly at all. The setting is an integer, used to record a port number typed into a text box. The setting is bound to an integer property on a user control, and that property sets the Text property on a TextBox control. When I type a new value into the textbox at runtime, as soon as the textbox loses focus, it is immediately replaced by the original value. A breakpoint on the property shows that it is immediately setting the property to the setting from the properties collection after I set it. Can anyone see what I'm doing wrong? Here's some code: The setting: [global::System.Configuration.UserScopedSettingAttribute()] [global::System.Diagnostics.DebuggerNonUserCodeAttribute()] [global::System.Configuration.DefaultSettingValueAttribute("1000")] public int Port { get{ return ((int)(this["Port"])); } set{ this["Port"] = value; } } The binding: this.ctrlNetworkConfig.DataBindings.Add(new System.Windows.Forms.Binding("PortNumber", global::TestProject.Properties.Settings.Default, "Port", true, System.Windows.Forms.DataSourceUpdateMode.OnPropertyChanged)); this.ctrlNetworkConfig.PortNumber = global::TestProject.Properties.Settings.Default.Port; And lastly, the property on the user control: public int PortNumber { get{ int port; if(int.TryParse(this.txtPortNumber.Text, out port)) return port; else return 0; } set{ txtPortNumber.Text = value.ToString(); } } Any thoughts? Thanks in advance for your help. EDIT: Sorry about the formatting, trying to correct.

  • TwoWay Binding to ListBox SelectedItem on more than one list box in WPF

    - by Dan Bryant
I have a scenario where I have a globally available Properties window (similar to the Properties window in Visual Studio), which is bound to a SelectedObject property of my model. I have a number of different ways to browse and select objects, so my first attempt was to bind them to SelectedObject directly. For example: <ListBox ItemsSource="{Binding ActiveProject.Controllers}" SelectedItem="{Binding SelectedObject, Mode=TwoWay}"/> <ListBox ItemsSource="{Binding ActiveProject.Machines}" SelectedItem="{Binding SelectedObject, Mode=TwoWay}"/> This works well when I have more than one item in each list, but it fails if a list has only one item. When I select the item, SelectedObject is not updated, since the list still thinks its original item was selected. I believe this happens because the two way binding simply ignores the update from source when SelectedObject is not an object in the list, leaving the list's SelectedItem unchanged. In this way, the bindings become out of sync. Does anybody know of a way to make sure the list boxes reset their SelectedItem when the SelectedObject is not in the list? Is there a better way to do this that doesn't suffer from this problem?

  • Ninject 2 + ASP.NET MVC 2 Binding Types from External Assemblies

    - by Malkier
Hi, I'M just trying to get started with Ninject 2 and ASP.NET MVC 2. I have followed this tutorial http://www.craftyfella.com/2010/02/creating-aspnet-mvc-2-controller.html to create a Controller Factory with Ninject and to bind a first abstract to a concrete implementation. Now I want to load a repository type from another assembly (where my concrete SQL Repositories are located) and I just cant get it to work. Here's my code: Global.asax.cs protected void Application_Start() { AreaRegistration.RegisterAllAreas(); RegisterRoutes(RouteTable.Routes); ControllerBuilder.Current.SetControllerFactory(new MyControllerFactory()); } Controller Factory: public class Kernelhelper { public static IKernel GetTheKernel() { IKernel kernel = new StandardKernel(); kernel.Load(System.Reflection.Assembly.Load("MyAssembly")); return kernel; } } public class MyControllerFactory : DefaultControllerFactory { private IKernel kernel = Kernelhelper.GetTheKernel(); protected override IController GetControllerInstance(RequestContext requestContext, Type controllerType) { return controllerType == null ? null : (IController)kernel.Get(controllerType); } } In "MyAssembly" there is a Module: public class ExampleConfigModule : NinjectModule { public override void Load() { Bind<Domain.CommunityUserRepository>().To<SQLCommunityUserRepository>(); } } Now when I just slap in a MockRepository object in my entry point it works just fine, the controller, which needs the repository, works fine. The kernel.Load(System.Reflection.Assembly.Load("MyAssembly")); also does its job and registers the module but as soon as I call on the controller which needs the repository I get an ActivationException from Ninject: No matching bindings are available, and the type is not self-bindable. Activation path: 2) Injection of dependency CommunityUserRepository into parameter _rep of constructor of type AccountController 1) Request for AccountController Can anyone give me a best practice example for binding types from external assemblies (which really is an important aspect of Dependency Injection)? Thank you!

  • Converting from CVS to SVN to Hg, does 'hg convert' require pointing to an SVN checkout or just a re

    - by Terry
As part of migrating full CVS history to Hg, I've used cvs2svn to create an SVN repo in a local directory. It's first level directory structure is: 2010-04-21 09:39 AM <DIR> . 2010-04-21 09:39 AM <DIR> .. 2010-04-21 09:39 AM <DIR> locks 2010-04-21 09:39 AM <DIR> hooks 2010-04-21 09:39 AM <DIR> conf 2010-04-21 09:39 AM 229 README.txt 2010-04-21 11:45 AM <DIR> db 2010-04-21 09:39 AM 2 format 2 File(s) 231 bytes After setting up hg and the convert extension and attempting the convert, I get the following on convert: C:\>hg convert file://localhost/Users/terry/Desktop/repoSVN assuming destination repoSVN-hg initializing destination repoSVN-hg repository file://localhost/Users/terry/Desktop/repoSVN does not look like a CVS checkout file://localhost/Users/terry/Desktop/repoSVN does not look like a Git repo file://localhost/Users/terry/Desktop/repoSVN does not look like a Subversion repo file://localhost/Users/terry/Desktop/repoSVN is not a local Mercurial repo file://localhost/Users/terry/Desktop/repoSVN does not look like a darcs repo file://localhost/Users/terry/Desktop/repoSVN does not look like a monotone repo file://localhost/Users/terry/Desktop/repoSVN does not look like a GNU Arch repo file://localhost/Users/terry/Desktop/repoSVN does not look like a Bazaar repo file://localhost/Users/terry/Desktop/repoSVN does not look like a P4 repo abort: file://localhost/Users/terry/Desktop/repoSVN: missing or unsupported repository I have TortoiseHg installed. For info, hg version reports: Mercurial Distributed SCM (version 1.4.3) This version of Mercurial seems to have some svn bindings if library.zip in the install is to be believed. Do I need to do a checkout and point hg convert to it for this to work properly?

  • Does RabbitMq do round-robin from the exchange to the queues

    - by Lancelot
Hi, I am currently evaluating message queue systems and RabbitMq seems like a good candidate, so I'm digging a little more into it. To give a little context I'm looking to have something like one exchange load balancing the message publishing to multiple queues. I don't want to replicate the messages, so a fanout exchange is not an option. Also the reason I'm thinking of having multiple queues vs one queue handling the round-robin w/ the consumers, is that I don't want our single point of failure to be at the queue level. Sounds like I could add some logic on the publisher side to simulate that behavior by editing the routing key and having the appropriate bindings in place. But that's kind of a passive approach that wouldn't take the pace of the message consumption on each queue into account, potentially leading to fill up one queue if the consumer applications for that queue are dead. I was looking for a more pro-active way from the exchange entity side, that would decide where to send the next message based on each queue size or something of that nature. I read about Alice and the available RESTful APIs but that seems kind of a heavy duty solution to implement fast routing decisions. Anyone knows if round-robin between the exchange the queues is feasible w/ RabbitMQ then? Thanks.

  • How i can add border to ListViewItem, ListView in GridView mode.

    - by Andrew
Hello! I want to have a border around ListViewItem (row in my case). ListView source and columns generated during Runtime. In XAML i have this structure: <ListView Name="listViewRaw"> <ListView.View> <GridView> </GridView> </ListView.View> </ListView> During Runtime i bind listview to DataTable, adding necessary columns and bindings: var view = (listView.View as GridView); view.Columns.Clear(); for (int i = 0; i < table.Columns.Count; i++) { GridViewColumn col = new GridViewColumn(); col.Header = table.Columns[i].ColumnName; col.DisplayMemberBinding = new Binding(string.Format("[{0}]", i.ToString())); view.Columns.Add(col); } listView.CoerceValue(ListView.ItemsSourceProperty); listView.DataContext = table; listView.SetBinding(ListView.ItemsSourceProperty, new Binding()); So i want to add border around each row, and set border behavior (color etc) with DataTriggers (for example if value in 1st column = "Visible", set border color to black). Can i put border through DataTemplate in ItemTemplate? I know solution, where you manipulate with CellTemplates, but i don't really like it. I want something like this if this even possible. <DataTemplate> <Border Name="Border" BorderBrush="Transparent" BorderThickness="2"> <ListViewItemRow><!-- Put my row here, but i ll know about table structure only during runtime --></ListViewItemRow> </Border> </DataTemplate>

  • How to implement DisplayMemberPath for my Wpf UserControl?

    - by Bevan
I'm writing a WPF User Control for my application, wrapping a ListBox and a few other items. The ListBox has a new ItemTemplate that presents four pieces of information for each item in my list. I can hard code each of the four bindings to specific properties on my list items and they display fine. However, I want my UserControl to be a bit more flexible. On ListBox and ComboBox there is a property DisplayMemberPath (inherited from ItemsControl) that seems to "inject" the appropriate property binding into the standard ItemTemplate. How do I achieve the same result with my user control? I'd like to set up four new properties to allow configuration of the information displayed: public string LabelDisplayPath { get; set; } public string MetricDisplayPath { get; set; } public string TitleDisplayPath { get; set; } public string SubtitleDisplayPath { get; set; } Reviewing ItemsControl.DisplayMemberPath with Reflector seems to go down the rabbit hole, I haven't been able to fathom how it works. Also, if I'm completely off course - and there's another, more "WPF" technique that I should be using instead, please point me in that direction.

  • Silverlight client never calls WCF Service

    - by Doug Nelson
Hi all, This one has me completed stumped. I have developed a silverlight application that calls back to WCF services ( it's a silverlight - basicHttpBinding) The site works perfectly fine from my development machine, but when it is deployed to the developement server. The application is delivered with the XAP just fine, but it never attempts to talk to the service. I have a service call in the bootstrapper so it should be calling this when the client starts up. The services are healthy. They can be browsed to and show the standard WCF service display. We have been through the bindings many times and everything seems to be ok. I have added an extensive amount of error handling for displaying any errors, but on this dev server, no service calls and no errors are being raised. Fiddler shows the page being loaded up, but my client never issues a call to the service. The service is in the same folder as the default.aspx which hosts the Silverlight client. This is a Silverlight 3.0 app. Anybody ever seen anything similar?
