    Similar to this question, but looking for an answer that will work in the context of an XNA game. How can I determine whether the device is in a landscape or portrait orientation? The answer given in the general question relies upon functionality built into PhoneApplicationPage. AFAIK, you wouldn't normally be using that class within the context of an XNA game on Windows Phone 7.

  • Redirect in combination with a rewrite condition in htaccess

    Hi all! I've got a cms-driven website, with no option to change the code. What I want to accomplish is creating friendly url's, using only apaches mod-rewrite engine. The problem is I'm creating an infinite loop, because I first redirect the original url (index.php?id=21) to a friendly one (/friendly/) and then rewrite the '/friendly' part back to 'id=21' I know there should be an extra condition or parameter to avoid looping in this case, but I can´t get one of the possible solutions to work.   • How to send a text message to mobile phone via bluetooth in Java?

    Similar to this question. I have been tasked to develop an application using Java to send message strings from my WinXP PC to a nearby mobile phone, using only Bluetooth. I have found a free Java Bluetooth library (Bluecove) to work with, but it seems that it might not support OBEX under Windows, which as I read is necessary to perform this task. Has anyone proven this using Java? What stack and Bluetooth library did you use? Thanks. :)

  • Making "helper" text in a form be a different color then typed text.

The main one is I would like the helper text (in this case "Phone Number") to be a different color then the inputted text from the user, to make it easier for the user to differentiate between filled and unfilled fields. The second is that with this methodology (onfocus="value''") if you mistype something in a field and come back to it you have to retype the whole thing which isn't really acceptable.

    Using the variables extension, I want to change the background color of a cell in a table. So far I've done this: {{#vardefine:green|<span style="background:Green; color:White">text</span>}} The problem is that, when I add {{#var:green}} to the cell, only the text itself has a green background. Ideally, I want the whole cell to have a background color, like it does if I use this: | bgcolor="#ff00ff" | test or this | style="background:silver" |silver in the cell. Does anyone know how to solve this?

    I tried using the code below for the Excel program on my `Mac Mini using the OS X Version 10.7.2 and it keeps saying Error due to file name / path: (The Excel fiel I am creating is going to be a template with my formulas and macros installed which will be used over and over). Next, A3 is the file name and B3 is the content for the file, etc. ONCE the content reads what is in cell A16 and B16 (length will vary), the file creation should stop, if not then I can delete the additional files created. This sheet will never change. Is there a way to establish the excel macro to always go to this sheet instead of have to select it with the mouse to identify the starting point? 2nd Objective I would like to have the following data to be used to create a text file. A:1 is what I need the name of the file to be. B:B is the content I want in the file. So, A2 - is the file name "geo-sitemap.xml" and B:B to be the content in the file (ignore the .xml file extension in the photo). ONCE the content cell reads what is in cell "B16" (length will vary), the file creation should stop, if not then I can adjust the cells that have need content (formulated content you see in the image is preset for 500 rows).     I have a brand new HTC HD7 with Windows Phone 7, with no Software installed. I am running on Windows 7 64 bit. Whenever I try to sync my Mobile Device with Zune- I get this message: Can't connect to your phone. Disconnect it, restart it, then try connecting again I've downloaded latest Zune software and all updates. I don't have any certificates on my personal certificates. My phone is listed under Portable devices in Device manager (It shows as phone with driver version 4.7.965.0). I've restarted both my computer and the mobile device few times. I tried unlocking the device during the Zune sync Any ideas as to how I can sync my phone ?

    I'm using Excel Mac 2011. I have read some of the other answers, but this question is different because I want to apply conditional formatting to an entire row when its cell in column B contains the value 'Y'. Simple conditional formatting just formats that one cell. Whenever the field at column B for any given row contains the value 'Y', I'd like to format that row. Using Mac Excel's so-called "classic" conditional formatting, I have this: I would really like to apply that to every row, but it just paints the entire sheet red (because $B$3 contains "Y"). I can't seem to figure out how to get the reference to whatever is in field B for this row in the rule.

    Hi, In MS Excel, consider i have the word 'Microsoft' in a cell. And in the cell below I want to type the word 'Microhard'. When I start typing Microhard, the word Microsoft appears shaded in black. Now how can I select the part 'Micro' alone from Microsoft and type 'hard' alone. Hope my question is clear.   • Outlook 2007 GAL Phone List

    I just spent a lot of time populating Phone Numbers and Fax Numbers in our GAL/Active Directory. The goal of which was to replace our static *.xlsx file that we use as a corporate phone directory. I know I can see the GAL by clicking on the To... button, and I can see more specific info for a particular user, by adding them as a recipient and double-clicking their name in the To: field. Is there any way (inside Outlook) to have a laundry-list view of all users and phone/fax/mobile/address similar to the phone list view for contacts? Are there any other tools that might provide this functionality. I've used a GAL web interface before, but that cost $ and as I recall was challenging to manage.

  • Excel 2007 Constantly Creating Custom Cell Styles

    Hello, I've been using Office 2007 for a few months now and have noticed that it was creating duplicate custom cell styles on its own, like Normal 2, Normal 3, etc. It didn't really bother me at first, but now Excel will lag when I open the cell styles menu as it gathers well over a hundred of these duplicates (I have seen Normal 54 and Normal 5 2 2 so I'm unsure as to how many there actually are). I have also just checked a fresh Excel sheet, and it only has the defaults, but one I created earlier today from scratch has the Normal 54 listed. My questions are: Why is this happening? Can I delete a temp or custom settings file somewhere to clear this? Any help on this is appreciated.

  • Tie stock quote value to cell in Excel 2011 Mac

    I've been working on a mock stock portfolio in Excel, and I've been looking for ways to automatically update the data, eg. stock price and P/E ratio. I have tried using a web query to MSN Money, but that just brings up the whole stock quote across multiple cells, I want data to be updated in individual cells only. The only web query solution I can think of is if someone hosted a website where each value in the stock quote was saved on a different HTML file. I could then WebQuery to that file for each cell requiring that value. However, no website offers this. So in essence, is there any tool on Excel 2011 Mac that will let me pull individual values from a stock quote and assign them to a single cell?

  • MicroSD card isn't detected by computer, apparently usable only with phone

    I have a 4GB MicroSD card that apparently only works (in the sense that the device detects and can read and write from and to the card) with my old Nokia XpressMusic 5800 phone. I have taken pictures and recorded voice notes that were saved on the card. These are accessible after the card has been removed, which tells me that the problem isn't with the card. The card could also not be locked to the phone as it would at least be detected by a computer and it would be able to write raw data to it with dd, such as /dev/zero. Also, the card is not the Nokia card that came with the phone and I have done nothing that would have caused it to be locked. (I could not find anything on Nokia's website that helps, but then again... my search was not THAT thorough.) The card works on no other device that I have tried so far. I have tried it in my Canon camera (through an adapter), but it refuses to even boot with the card inserted. My card reader (via USB cable and hub) is detected as /dev/sdx with or without the card inserted. When trying to access the card I get an "No medium found". dmesg does not report any change at all when inserting and removing the card. I would obviously like to use my card on other devices - the phone is quite old - and even a likely explanation would help. Thankyou in advance! EDIT 1: I can use the card by connecting the phone to my computer, but this is impractical and would not allow me to use the card in any other device. EDIT 2: The data on the card is not important to me at all.

  • Un-table a cell range in Excel 2007

    In Excel 2007, if you highlight a block of cells and then "Format as Table", it doesn't just apply colors and formatting, it somehow marks those cells as being a table. Now I want to get rid of the table, but keep all the cells (i.e. keep the data). So I tried clearing the table style and formatting, but Excel still recognizes those cells as being a table. I can tell because: When I select a cell that was in the table, Excel still displays the "Table Tools / Design" tab I cannot merge cells that were in the table <- this is what's annoying me So, how do I un-table those cells? I want to keep all the cell data and formatting, but have Excel not recognize them as a table.

    How do I reference an Excel Table column dynamically in Excel 2007? ie: i wanna reference a named column of a named table and what table it is will vary with the value of a cell. I have a Table in Excel (Let's call it Table1). I want to reference one of its columns (Let's call it column1) dynamically from a value in another cell (A1) so that I can achieve the following result: When I change A1, the formula that counts Table1[DynamicallyReferencedColumnName] gets updated to the new reference. I tried using =Count(Table1[INDIRECT("$A$1")]) but Excel says the formula contains an error. Example: A1 = names then the formula would equal Count(Table1[names]). A1 = lastname then the formula would equal Count(Table1[lastname]).

    can i convert phone wiring in walls to act as only Ethernet network cause the phone wiring is not in use and not connected to the phone company so there is no voltage in the wires i remove the wall plate and i find 6 wires blue,blue/white,green,green/white,orange,orange/white , and i know that Ethernet use 8 here is what i am thinking get Ethernet cable cut it in half and attach wires from wall to the first computer and the same with the other computer so if this is possible do i just attach wires in the same color and ignore brown wire or do i have to rearrange wires , and how much the speed will be thank you in advance
