  • Auto-resize images in Opera

    Is there a setting that I can configure to automatically scale large images like Firefox does? I'm using Opera 10.53, and when I open a large image in a new tab, it is not scaled at all. I'm on a laptop, so it is hard to view, and when I am viewing multiple images, it is tedious to scale each image down to 20% or whatever fits it best. I found this thread, and for a fleeting moment thought I had found the answer, but apparently not. They just told the poster to manually resize. Thanks.

  • Apache won't serve images larger than ~2K

    Hello, Just upgraded an old box to Ubuntu to 10.04.2 LTS. Apache will not display images to a browser that are over about 2K. Small images seem to display fine. Static HTML and PHP continues to works fine as well. This looks ok to me! I have tried firefox and chrome, both display small images fine but when a large image is requested the browser prompts to download the file. When the image file is saved to the local computer it is corrupt, it also takes a long time to save which makes me think the browser cannot see the content-length header sent from apache.     I want to make short timelapse video using ffmpeg under ubuntu 12.04 LTS. I have a folder containing all images with names DSC_0000.jpg DSC_0001.jpg and so on. I found this question ffmpeg: create a video from images and I try to run the same command as mentioned there: ffmpeg -i DSC_%d.jpg -vcodec mpeg4 timelapse.avi and it fails with DSC_%d.jpg: No such file or directory I've also tried ffmpeg -i DSC_%04d.jpg -vcodec mpeg4 timelapse.avi and it fails with the same error And also for some reason my ffmpeg does not understand option -start_number, if I run ffmpeg -start_number 0 -i DSC_%d.jpg -vcodec mpeg4 timelapse.avi I get this error: Unrecognized option 'start_number' Failed to set value '0' for option 'start_number' I would appreciate any help

  • Need to create street maps images with route plotted from address 1 to address 2

    I'm looking for software to create street map images that show the route from address 1 to address 2. It needs to be able to create the map images from either a database file that contains the addresses, a delimited text file that lists the addresses to route in each row, or an Excel file. I need to do this to create custom maps in bulk- 500 to 20,000 quantity from the data file. The purpose is to provide a map with a route from a location (address 1) to a retail store (address 2). The maps will be printed on a postcard. I have the data. I just need the mapping software. Is there software available that can do this?

  • Is there a way to sharpen low quality images

    I have a lot of images for a project that are not really sharp and crisp. I think these were old images that were resized a lot etc. This is because I am working on a website for a client and she does not have the high quality pictures anymore, the pictures I have to work with are somewhat pixelated. Ill show you an example of one I think could be better: Now as you can see the parts around the text 'Azule' is not so sharp. Is there a way to sharpen this. Now I have another one, and I think there is no hope for this one. Is there any hope for the picture above to make it sharp again, I highly doubt it.

I can not delete one by one. I can save it in .txt format but I will lose the formatting of the data. Is there any other way to get this. any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.   • OSXplanet: Updating cloud images

    Hello I'm using OSXplanet (which is a mac app based on xplanet) to view satellite and rendered images of the earth (or other planets) as the desktop background on my laptop. The images and data refresh regularly as data is updated, such as cyclones, clouds, weather, volcanoes, etc. I have Cloud Data set to refresh every 3 hours, but the resulting image never changes. By default, OSXplanet seems to be trying to get image data from Iowa State University. Can I modify OSXplanet to set it to pull cloud image data from a different server location listed on http://xplanet.sourceforge.net/clouds.php? Thanks Turgs

    Hi, Are there software you know that can copy images from a DVD? now the problem is there images in the DVD that are corrupt that I won't force to copy, If the software can recover the file and copy it that would be cool, If it cannot then skip the file. The dvd is kinda large and I don't want to sit and wait there. I want the DVD do the decision, If it can recover then recover if it cannot, then skip. And do you know other solution copying corrupt files? thanks!

    I Installed wamp in windows 7 pro, and copied a joomla live site. Everything seems working well except that it doesn't load the images on the page. Even when I try to access in directly: localhost/logo.png Im getting an 403 Forbidden: Forbidden You don't have permission to access /logo.png on this server. Solutions I have tried are: 1. Using icacls to grant priviledge 2. manually set the permission by right clicking the image and editing the security. php, html and other files are loading in the browser, but not images. Please help.

  • Hyperlinks on images in PDF from Word 2010

    I've got a Word 2010 document that I'm trying to convert to a PDF with "Save As...", preserving hyperlinks. Something odd is going on: Hyperlinks on inline text, or images that are inline, work fine. Hyperlinks on images with layout "in front of" text don't work in the PDF, same for hyperlinked drawing shapes. What I'm trying to do is make a "clickmap" image by putting an image on the page and overlaying parts of it with transparent shapes that hyperlink to different URLs. This isn't working, and the transparency has nothing to do with it - hyperlinks in the PDF seem only to work on "in line with text" elements. Am I missing something, or is there a better way to do this?

    I need to display 2d images in opengl using textures. The image dimensions are not necessarily powers of 2. I thought of creating a larger texture and restricting the display to the part I was using but the image data will be shared with openCV so I don't want to copy data a pixel at a time into a larger texture. EDIT - it turns out that even the simplest Intel on board graphics under Windows supports none-power-of-2 textures.
