• Move an existing RAID 5 array from Ubuntu to Gentoo

  I have a 64-bit Ubuntu machine with a 4-disk RAID 5 using software raid (md). I've been able to boot an Ubuntu LiveCD and recognize the array with a simple mdadm -A /dev/md0. It was easy to mount after that and nothing had to rebuild. I'm installing Gentoo on this box now (multi-boot, non-RAID root partition) and I have md auto-detect turned on in the kernel. When I boot Gentoo I get: "invalid superblock magic on sdd" for each of the drives in the array. I boot back to Ubuntu and they mount no problem. I tried copying the mdadm.conf that works in Ubuntu to Gentoo, and then ran mdadm -A /dev/md0 but it reports that there is no array named md0. I don't want to lose data (obviously) and I don't want to have to let the RAID rebuild every time I switch between OSes. Any help is appreciated. Both are using mdadm 3.1.4 Both are running 64-bit kernels. mdadm -D /dev/md0 from Ubuntu yields: http://pastebin.com/5gj2QNkV UPDATE: After rebooting I noticed that it still complains about invalid blocks, but cat /proc/mdstat shows an inactive /dev/md127 with the same disks as my raid. • Apache 2 Fails to Start After Upgrade with No Errors

  Hi all Hoping someone can help me with a server issue. Recently we upgraded to the latest apache on 2 boxes within are organisation. One being the master box the other being for failover. The upgrade went fine on the master box but on the failover box apache fails to start with no errors, being output or logged. Both boxes have the exact same configuration so found this a bit strange. I've reinstalled apache and have been through checking the configs and did not find any obvious errors. Eventally I ran a syntax check on each config file being included and found that one of the files apparently has syntax errors. Invalid command 'Order', perhaps misspelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration Invalid command 'php_value', perhaps misspelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration Invalid command 'GeoIPEnable', perhaps misspelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration I've trippled checked all the modules are enabled but it still fails. I've googled the subject of these errors loads but have been unable to fine a solution. I was wondering if anyone had encountered such a problem before and could point me towards a solution. • How can I mount dd image of a partition?

  I created a dd image of a partition (containing an HFS+ FS) of one of my disks (and not the entire disk) a few days ago using the following command - dd conv=sync,noerror bs=8k if=/dev/sdc2 of=/path/to/img How can I mount it?   i installed mysql mysql-server and mysql-libs ... after installation i thought to start the mysql service using command systemctl start mysqld.service Failed to issue method call: Unit mysqld.service failed to load: Invalid argument.   I'm trying to validate a USA mobile number, since I'm using pre-built javascript validation library I just replaced this regex validation with the previous one which comes with the validation library. previous validation regex: "telephone":{ "regex":"/^[0-9\-\(\)\ ]{10,10}$/", "alertText":"* Invalid phone number"}, This works like 2126661234 but not in USA standard. After I changed: "telephone":{ "regex":"/^[2-9]\d{2}-\d{3}-\d{4}$/", "alertText":"* Invalid phone number"}, Now every entry I get an error even if I enter 212-666-1234 I really don't know what is the wrong, so I'm expecting some help.

  I wrote a T-SQL query which includes a test for valid EmployeeNo. If the EmployeeNo is not valid, I do the following: RAISERROR(5005, 10, 1, N'Invalid Employee No') return @@Error Back in VB.Net I test the sql exception and found that when the Employee No is invalid the error.number is not 5005 as I would expect, but 2732. What is the explanation for this? Thank you.

I need to migrate these docs into sharepoint, however a LOT of these folders and files have invalid characters that will not allow me to migrate into sharepoint (i.e. " / \ &, etc.) Is there any way to write something in C# that basically removes these invalid characters from all folders and files?   Hello All: I am an issue while converting "March 16-17" to DateTime and saving it to SQL server. "March 16-17" as it looks, read as March 16 to March 17, which in my case is invalid, but C# DateTime.TryParse() is treating "March 16 -17" as March 16, 2017 which is wrong, and saving the data in SQL server. SQL server treats "March 16-17" as invalid. So, can some body tell me how to use SQL server datetime validation in C#. Thanks Ashwani

  I want to create my own RSS/XML feed. I fetch data from the database to display, but keep getting invalid character errors. If the string has an ampersand or other strange characters in it, the XML will be invalid. I tried using urlencode and htmlentities, but these don't capture all possible characters which need to be escaped. Does anyone know of a PHP function which will prepare a string for XML output?

• Still failing a function, not sure why...ideas on test cases to run?

  I've been trying to get this Sudoku game working, and I am still failing some of the individual functions. All together the game works, but when I run it through an "autograder", some test cases fail.. Currently I am stuck on the following function, placeValue, failing. I do have the output that I get vs. what the correct one should be, but am confused..what is something going on? EDIT: I do not know what input/calls they make to the function. What happens is that "invalid row" is outputted after every placeValue call, and I can't trace why..   A JSpinner is used to store a number in my application (with a SpinnerNumberModel). As expected, the spinner doesn't allow invalid characters (letters, symbols, etc.) to be stored. However, those characters do appear in the spinner component when I type them in. As soon as I switch the focus to another component, they disappear. Is there a way to prevent invalid characters from appearing in the spinner?
