  • Save Powerpoint 2007 as Powerpoint 2003 using Open Office SDK 2.0

    Is there anyway to use the Open Office SDK 2.0 to save a powerpoint presention that you created using OOXML to a Office 2003 powerpoint presentation? I know if you open a 2007 file and click Save As you have the option to save it as a Powerpoint 97 to 2003 document and I didn't know if I could do this grammatically using this SDK. The reason I am asking this question is because I need to give the user the option to save data on a website in either office 2007 or 2003 format. I much rather just use the same code to produce the document instead of having to have two code paths for powerpoint 2003 and powerpoint 2007.

  • Should developers know how to use office suites?

    How deep is your knowledge on Office suites? Personally i don't like them, i hate create and manage word documents, excel datasheets etc. etc. I'm not talking about opening a word document and write some text or calculate sum and division on excel; i'm talking about advanced features like revisions, vba macros and so on. I have a co-worker, actually he's a talented functional analyst, that don't know anything about programming but he's kind a monster guru on Microsoft Office suite. When he sits on my desk and asks me to open and modify some of his hardly complicated Microsoft Excel multicolor multipivotal recursive datasheet, ehm, i feel like a baby in front of a nuclear plant console.It' not a great feeling if you know what i mean. As programmer, do you feel guilty about not knowing office suites enough?

    Would it be possible to use the Office 2010 web apps with an ASP.NET application? For example: - For each user of my ASP.NET application there is a folder with Word documents on my server - The ASP.NET application displays the available documents in a grid to the user - When clicking on one of the documents in the grid, the Word document is loaded in an IFrame which contains the Office 2010 web apps Word interface and editing of the document can take place - After editing, the document can be saved to the server, and the ASP.NET grid displays an updated status Would such a scenario be possible? And what do you need, e.g. Sharepoint, Office 2010 licenses?

    Some time ago I posted about a question about reading Excel files as a server process, to get around the tighter restrictions Microsoft have been applying on Office Automation. I now need to extend this, by finding methods/libraries to read other sorts of Office files in an automated way on a server. The applications I'm interested in are Word, Powerpoint, Project and to a lesser extent Word and Visio. I need to be able to support 97-2003 office files, and the newer open xml formats (e.g. xlsx, docx) at a very least. With regards to Word integration, I also need to be able to handle writing/reading RTF text. If anyone has any suggestions I'd be pleased to hear them. Thanks

  • How to determine the date that Office 2003 was installed

    Is there any guaranteed way of determining the date that Office 2003 (and .Net Framework v2.0) were installed on a client computer? I am trying to nail down a problem which I think is due to the order that the .Net Framework and Office 2003 were installed in, so I need a way I can get a client to have a look at their machine (preferably the file system) and let me know. It may require admin privileges (or Registry etc) which wouldn't be a problem but not the preferred solution. It appears that the folders under Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11 have a number with the same date which at first sight appear to be an installation date / time. Likewise in Windows\Microsoft.Net\Framework\v2.0.50727 there are two with the same date, but this seems less certain. I could use WMI with a winmgmts:object and SELECT * FROM Win32_Product, but was wondering if there was a 'telephone' way to do it!

    I have been through 10+ tutorials on setting up a OpenVPN, and each tutorial gives a different problem... Does anyone know of a decent and helpful website/tutorial which I could go to to get it set up? I have been battling through it for almost 2 months now. Yes, I have also bugged forums.openvpn, but I think I have "reached my post limit" with them. I have to configure it remotely via ssh. The idea is that I would like to have for every customer a folder like /home/neagoe/Work/InterWebs/Projects/[PROJECT NAME]/CustomerProjects/website/dist.   • NTP daemon or ntpdate doesn't synchronize

    I'm having some problems with synchronization with an NTP server. 1) The NTP daemon doesn't sync the system clock at all, even though it's running (confirmed with /etc/init.d/ntp status). Jó hír E-Business Suite 11i -t használó Ügyfeleink számára, hogy elkészült az adótörvények változásához kapcsolódóan (Art. 31/B §) az Oracle E-Business Suite 11i (11.5.10) verziójához az új lokalizációs ÁFA csomag, amely a 2013-tól az "Összesíto jelentés"-hez szükséges adatok eloállítását támogatja. Az új ÁFA csomag az alábbi három új kimutatás csoportot tartalmazza, amelyek a jelenlegi ÁFA megoldáshoz hasonlóan lehetové teszik a riport eredmények elozetes megtekintését, az eredmények véglegesítését, illetve szükség esetén másolati nyomtatás készítését: - "OHU: ÁFA analitika és összesíto jelentés 2013 (Elozetes)" - "OHU: ÁFA analitika és összesíto jelentés 2013 (Végleges)" - "OHU: ÁFA analitika és összesíto jelentés 2013 (Másolat)" A kimutatás csoportokban az alábbi programok lesznek elérhetok:  - OHU: ÁFA analitika kimutatás  - OHU: Belföldi összesíto jelentés partnerenként Az "OHU: ÁFA analitika kimutatás" funkcionális szempontból nem módosul, csak az ahhoz szükséges technikai módosítások kerülnek átvezetésre, hogy a kimutatás által összegyujtött adatok az "OHU: Belföldi összesíto jelentés partnerenként" kimutatás számára elérhetok legyenek.     I have 3 worker roles and a web role in my project and I upgraded it to the new 2.2 SDK (required in VS2013). Ever since the upgrade, all of the worker roles are failing and they instantly recycle as soon as they're started. But I don't know that this is directly relevant. I'm using VS 2013 and while the project lists the SDK as 2.2, the references within the roles are the 2.1 versions. Do I need to upgrade the components? Why wouldn't the project upgrade these automatically when I pulled the project into VS as it only support 2.2? Any thoughts on how to attach this are appreciated.

    Il était déjà annoncé que Digia envisageait de supporter les plateformes mobiles de mieux en mieux avec Qt, avec pour objectif l'intégration d'Android et iOS dans les plateformes supportées en tier 1 courant 2013 (c'est-à-dire comme plateformes principales). Une des pistes était l'intégration du code de Necessitas, le port lancé par BogDan Vatra pour Android : la bonne nouvelle du jour est que les deux parties se sont mises d'accord pour que cela arrive !     After a TimeMachine restore; Office 2011 is having kittens over permissions it would seem. Having attempted a 'repair' out of Disk Utility, am still seeing: there is a problem with the Office database upon startup, after which Word/Excel work without issues. Outlook on the other hand won't even start. Given the obvious message here "You do not have write access to the Outlook application folder" – where is the DB located to check?

    I have a number of Office 2007 documents (.pptx, .docx, .xlsx) in a SharePoint document library and when user tries to open the documents, it tries to open as a zip file. This happens to some users, but not all. I posted this issue at http://superuser.com/questions/110211/why-office-2007-documents-open-as-a-zip-file, but I failed to mention that it was related to the Sharepoint so it got moved to the superuser.com Please help.
