xPath Groupings how?

OK So, I'm learning/using xpath for a basic application thats effectively ripping data off another website. I need to gain the knowledge of each persons Countryy/Suburb/area. In some instances you can get Australia/Victoria/melborne for instance. Others may just be Australia/Melbourne. Or even just Melbourne OR just AUSTRALIA. who knows. So I'm current able to view the below code and rip all of the information with the string xpath search:@" //table/tr/td/tabke/tr/td/font/a, this returns every entry, but what I really want is to group each lot separately. I hope someone out there on planet earth knows what I just tried to explain... and can help... My jQuery and PHP give different results on the same thing?

Hey all, Annoying brain numbing problem. However my php validation says the strlen() is longer than my js is essentially saying. So for example if i type a solid string and it says 0 or 3 chars left till 255. I then click save and the php gives me the length as being 261. Any ideas? Is it to do with special characters, bit sizes that js reads differently or misses out? Or is it to do with something else? How to get MySQL database to appear on index.php

Hi, I have a submission form on my website (index.php) and I have the data(user submissions) being stored into a MySQL database. Right now, I have the user submitting a post and then the page directs them to an update.php which shows what they inputed. However, I want all of the data in the database in MySQL to be shown on the index.php. It's a lot like a comment system. User submits a post... and sees their post above the other submitted posts all on the same page. I think I'm missing AJAX... ? ObjC get property name

Yes. I've searched a lot without success. I've looking for a way to get a property name as StringValue from inside a method. Lets say: My class has X Subviews from the Type UILabel. @property (strong, nonatomic) UILabel *firstLabel; @property (strong, nonatomic) UILabel *secondLabel; [...] and so on. Inside the method foo, the views are iterated as followed: -(void) foo { for (UIView *view in self.subviews) { if( [view isKindOfClass:[UILabel class]] ) { /* codeblock that gets the property name. */ } } } The Result should be something like that: THE propertyName(NSString) OF view(UILabel) IS "firstLabel" I've tried class_getInstanceVariable, object_getIvar and property_getName without Success. PHP Class Question

Hi all I am trying to build a PHP class to check the username and password in MySql. I am getting "mysql_query(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in D:\2010Portfolio\football\main.php on line 38" database has errors:" message. When I move my userQuery code out of my Class, it works fine. Only if it is inside my Class. I am not sure if the problem is that I don't build the connection to mysql inside my Class or not. jQuery: Trouble with draggable across cloned elements

I'm trying to implement: User drags a draggable li to a droppable li. The original li is no longer draggable A new li is cloned from the original li, and is appended to the droppable li. targeting sprites from a method in the document class - null object reference

Hi I am trying to code a flash app entirely in the document class. I am using GestureWorks with a touch screen. When a user essentially presses a button it calls a method that should hide a specific graphic but not the graphic they touched. My developer built our registration page to display a div when logins failed based on a string in the URL. If it matters the new div I want to display is <div class="alert alert-error alert-login"> Email or password incorrect </div> I'd like to replace the php my self in my login.phtml and controller but not a good programmer. What can I replace $this->_redirect($url."?msg=invalid"); with so that no strings are added to the URL and display the appropriate div tags? Thanks

(Weak) ETags and Last-Modified

As far as I understand the specs, the ETag, which was introduced in RFC 2616 (HTTP/1.1) is a predecessor of the Last-Modified-Header, which is proposet to give the software-architect more controll over the cache-revalidating process. If both Cache-Validation-Headers (If-None-Match and If-Modified-Since) are present, according to RFC 2616, the client (i.e. the browser) should use the ETag when checking, if a resource has changed. According to section 14.26 of RFC 2616, the server MUST NOT respond with a 304 Not Modified, if the ETag presented in a If-None-Match-Header has changed, and the server has to ignore an additional If-Modified-Since-Header, if present. If the presented ETag matches, he MUST NOT perform the request, unless the Date in the Last-Modified-Header says so. (If the presented ETag matches, the server should respond with a 304 Not Modified in case of a GET- or HEAD-request...) This section leaves room for some speculations: A strong ETag is supposed to change ''everytime'', the resource changes. So, having to responde with something else as 304 Not Modified to a request with an unchanged ETag and an If-Modified-Since-Header, which dose not match is a bit of a contradiction, because the strong ETag says, that the resource was not modified. (Though, this is not that fatal, because the server can send the same unchanged resource again.) ... ... o.k. While I was writing this, the question was boiling down to this answer: The (small) contradiction stated above, was made because of Weak ETags. A resource marked with a Weak ETag may have changed, although the ETag has not. So, in case of a Weak ETag it would be wrong, to answer with 304 Not Modified, when the ETag has not changed, but the date presented in the If-Modified-Since does not match, right?

Can't post with Perl's Net::Blogger

I'm trying to automatically post to blogger using Perl's Net::Blogger but it keeps returning false and not posting. The main portion of my code looks like this: use Net::Blogger; my $blogger = Net::Blogger->new({ debug => 1, appkey => '0123456789ABCDEF', # doesn't matter? blogid => $blogid, username => $username, password => $password, }); say 'got to here'; my $result = $blogger->newPost({ postbody => \'<p>This is text</p><hr/><p><strong>Whee!</strong></p>', publish => 1, }); say 'done posting'; use Data::Dumper; print Dumper($result); Sure enough, $result is 0 and in checking the blog, nothing has been posted. The error I'm getting when I enable debugging is: Element '' can't be allowed in valid XML message. Died. at /Library/Perl/5.10.1/SOAP/Lite.pm line 1410. What am I doing wrong? If you can suggest an alternative to Net::Blogger, that would be fine.

[jQuery] Sort contents alphabetically

So I am appending the following after an AJAX call, and this AJAX call may happen several time, returning several data items. And I am trying to use Tinysort [http://plugins.jquery.com/project/TinySort] to sort the list everytime, so the new items added are integrated nicely and sorted alphabetically. It unfortunately doesn't seem to be working. Any ideas? Basic HTML Internal Link not working in IE8

This one has me scratching my head. I have a page with several internal links bringing the user down the page to further content. Beneath various sections there are further internal links bringing the user back to the top. This works fine in all browsers apart from IE8 (actual IE8 - not IE9 in IE8 mode) where they work go down, but not coming back up! Examples: <a href="page.php?v=35&u=admin-videos#a">A – General</a> .... //travelling DOWN the page <h3><strong>A – General<a name="a"></a></strong></h3> <a name="top"></a> .... //travelling back up <a href="page.php?v=35&u=admin-videos#top">Back to top.</a> I've tried filling the 'top' anchor with   but that hasn't changed it. Calculate distances and sort them

Hi guys, I wrote a function that can calculate the distance between two addresses using the Google Maps API. The addresses are obtained from the database. What I want to do is calculate the distance using the function I wrote and sort the places according to the distance. Just like "Locate Store Near You" feature in online stores. I'm going to specify what I want to do with an example: So, lets say we have 10 addresses in database. And we have a variable $currentlocation. And I have a function called calcdist(), so that I can calculate the distances between 10 addresses and $currentlocation, and sort them. Here is how I do it: $query = mysql_query("SELECT name, address FROM table"); while ($write = mysql_fetch_array($query)) { $distance = array(calcdist($currentlocation, $write["address"])); sort($distance); for ($i=0; $i<1; $i++) { echo "<tr><td><strong>".$distance[$i]." kms</strong></td><td>".$write['name']."</td></tr>"; } } But this doesn't work very well. It doesn't sort the numbers. Another challenge: How can I do this in an efficient way? Imagine there are infinite numbers of addresses; how can I sort these addresses and page them?

I have two fields that need to multiply each other and fill a 3rd form's value. I think my problem may be within how I am referencing the input field names, with brackets (I'm taking results from this form as an array so I'm already used to working with the results as a multi-dimensional array). Converting json data to an HTML table

I have an array of data in php and I need to display this data in a HTML table. Here is what an example data set looks like. Array( Array ( [comparisonFeatureId] => 1182 [comparisonFeatureType] => Category [comparisonValues] => Array ( [0] => Not Available [1] => Standard [2] => Not Available [3] => Not Available ) [featureDescription] => Rear Seat Heat Ducts ),) The dataset is a comparison of 3 items (shown in the comparisonValues index of the array) In the end I need the row to look similar to this <tr class="alt2 section_1"> <td><strong>$record['featureDescription']</strong></td> <td>$record['comparisonValues'][0]</td> <td>$record['comparisonValues'][1]</td> <td>$record['comparisonValues'][2]</td> <td>$record['comparisonValues'][3]</td> </tr> The problem I am coming across is how to best do this. Should I create the entire table HTML on the server side pass it over an ajax call and just dump pre-rendered HTML data into a div or pass the json data and render the table client side. Any elegant suggestions? Thanks in advanced.

I have installed VS2010 and MVC2 and testing a simple form using tinyMCE. When I post the contents of the textarea in tinyMCE I get the dreaded YSD and the message "a potentially dangerous....."
