• Using Zend_Navigation, how do I create image-based navigation?

  (I'm assuming my navigation should be in a layout script.) I have a navigation bar composed of rollover images. The image corresponding to the page that is active should be a different color, though. I do this by changing the image. My question is, where and how should I implement this using Zend_Navigation? • WebView not responding when called from a method

  I have an app with tabbar and webview. I'm trying to make the app come back to default url each time user taps the bar. Right now I'm intercepting taps and launching a method, however it's not affecting my webview. The same syntax for calling webview from awakeFromNib works, so I don't have a clue what's up. I suspect it's something to do with how I call the method, but I don't know what.   HI, I am making my own scroll bar. in which i made this code below i pasted. i am getting the issue from this code. i) in the first time i am pressing "#scroller" that works fine. ii) in case of second or other time when i am enter into "#scroller" itself, i am getting the alert "hi", instead of i am pressing the "#scroller", i know that i am doing some wrong this with my code, but i unable to find the mistake. • Optimising Androidplot

  Seems Androidplot (androidplot.com) website/forums are down so I'll try asking this question here. I have multi touch zoom and scrolling. Similar code to http://mlepicki.com/2012/03/androidplot-multitouch-zoom-scroll/ except that I have a bar graph instead. However with 100 data points it has noticeable lag. Even with 10 bars are just showing. Sounds like its drawing/calculating/etc all bars. Any idea on how I could optimise this? I can't use hardware rendering as I want to support Android 2.1 and the library doesn't support it(it breaks).

• How do you use a flash object as a link?

  Is it possible to use a flash document embedded in HTML as a link? I tried just wrapping the object element with an a like this: <a href="http://whatever.com"> <object ...> <embed ... /> </object> </a> In Internet Explorer, that made it show the location in the status bar like a link, but it doesn't do anything. I just have the .swf file, so I can't add a click handler in ActionScript.

  Hey, I have two tables in one DB, one called Cottages and one called Hotels. In both tables they have the same named fields. I basically have a search bar that i want it to search in both of the fields in both of the tables. (the two fields being called "Name" and "Location" SO far I have $sql = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM Cottages WHERE Name LIKE '%$term%' or Location LIKE '%$term%' LIMIT 0, 30"); But this only searches the Cottages table, how can I make it search both the cottages and hotel tables? • Why is the image not showing in IE7?

• mod_rewrite with GET requests

  I have mod_rewrite working on most of my site. Right now I have a search that normally would point to search.php?keyword=KEYWORD And I'm trying to rewrite that to search/?keyword=KEYWORD Just to make it a little bit cleaner. So here's my mod_rewrite. (There are other rules I'm just posting the one that isn't working.) RewriteRule ^search/?keyword=([^/\.]+)/?$ search.php?search=$1 When I type a search in the address bar way I want it to be, I get a page telling me its a "broken link" (I'm guessing that that's Chrome's equivalent of a 404 error). So what am I doing wrong? I think that the problem is the '=' or the '?' sign in the rule (the first part) because when I take the ?keyword= part out, it works. Does that make sense?

How can I set the style for only certain links, defined by the class or id of their container?

• Hiding part of a page from Search Server 2010 Express

  I'm working on a soon-to-be-public-facing site, and we want to have our search live on day 1, and want it to be searchable but non-public during testing, so we're planning to use something whose crawling we can control -- Search Server 2010 Express. However, if I search for something in my top navigation bar, I get nearly every page as a hit. It kinda makes sense, as every page has that content, but it's completely irrelevant on most pages. I want it to crawl through my navigation, but ignore the text within the navigation for search results. I was hoping that it'd just figure that out on it's own (the HTML for the top nav is static), but it's apparently not. Is there some standard thing I can put in my HTML that will achieve the effect I'm going for? On a side note: when I go live, will I have the same problem with public search engines, or do they tend to be smarter?

  I have an asp.net webform. I have the background as an image,that when i aslo have a menu bar, when i click on an icon, it uses response.redirect() to redirect to a new page, but when it loads up the page, it seems like the background image is slow. I can see the backgroud as white first and then split seconds later the background image will load up, this causes an illusion of flickering when it redirects to a new page. How do i solve this problem? When i tested using visual studio web server, it dont flicker. I am using a background image in the master page hosted up on the internet.

My thoughts: Windows 7: I can create giant full-screen widget that will show my page. Still have no idea if I will be able to navigate inside it though. Windows Vista: ???. I know there is still a side bar gadget that hosts a browser. Windows XP: create static html page with iframe pointing to corporate app home page. • CALayer not obeying object ownership rules?

  I have a custom CALayer - UIProgressLayer - for simulating a progress bar. There is a dispatched GC timer involved to animate its intermediate state. So thats the layer I'm talking about here, although i don't think the problem is restricted to this particular subclass because a CALayer with only the -release and -dealloc overridden produces the same outcome. The problem is when i send this layer, for instance, a theLayer.opacity = 0.5f a -release message is sent to the layer, thus deallocating my layer. Why is this happening? Has it something to do with how the whole CA system works? But it still has to obey the object ownership rules right? I was thinking maybe it creates a copy of that layer for the fading, but that's not the case.

• Hyperlink (a href) with a pound sign at the end doesn't do anything in Firefox

  I have a link that is somewhat like this: <a href="------.html#video">Text</a> It works fine in IE but not in Firefox. In Firefox it shows the new URL on the address bar but doesn't update or change anything in terms of content. Somehow the "#" is causing Firefox to ignore updating the page. I tried using Javascript "window.location" and "window.location.href" and all sorts of other things but it still doesn't work. Does anyone have any idea how to fix it? Thanks!

If I have the dialog.handleDownload by itself ( in no SwingUtilities method ), it freezes until the operation is finished. If I add it in a invokeLater it's closed very fast ( I can't see anything, and the operation is not finished ). If I add it in a invokeAndWait I get the invokeAndWait cannot be called from the event dispatcher thread error. What should I do?

• How to make a resolution independent camera preview on android?

  Hi all, I'm making an android 1.6 app that uses phone's camera. In order to do this app resolution independent, I need to set a compatible aspect ratio for previewing camera on a SurfaceLayout. In 1.6 sdk there is no way to get supported sizes for the camera preview. It is possible to use a 4:3 or 3:2 aspect ratio and get no errors whith that? On the other hand, I need a way to make a xml layout that represents this Surfacelayout in this (unknown) aspect ratio in every resolution. I assume that is not possible to change the SurfaceLayout size in runtime. Can I do it with "dp" units? The other way is making this layout programmatically? There are some apps like Vignette or android camera application with some tricks to make something like that, like black bars (vignette) or fixed buttons bar, but I don't know how to do it in any kind of resolution. Any ideas? Thanks!

  Hi All, I have to solve a defect. The defect is there is a scroll bar attached to the vertical cascading menu. When I try to scroll through the items using the scrollbar , the menu disappears.
