    I have a link in my HTML: <a href="/DoSomethingDangerous">do something dangerous</a> Visiting the DoSomethingDangerous link causes a not easily reversable action to occur. So after the link is clicked on I would like a dialog box (eg "Are you sure?" "OK" "Cancel") to be displayed and if the user clicks Cancel the link is not visited and the browser remains at the same page. What is the cleanest technique using either Javascript or jQuery to implement this?

If it's matched then i need to extract the first $abc and the last #xyz, all that using pure javascript and maybe regex.     Is there a library that can be used for implementing undo/redo functionality for DOM element manipulations in JavaScript? I'm writing an app that moves around DOM elements, enables editing and deletion of those elements. There are event-handlers and other objects associated with each element operated upon. Not sure whether I need to roll my own implementation of the Command pattern for this. Surely, there must be something available? If not, suggestions and pointers would be a great help.

    Im using jquery for various things on my site, but one thing im not sure how to do, is have it show an element, then wait X seconds, and hide the element. $('#form').ajaxForm(function() { $('#cartcontents').fadeOut("fast").load('cart.php').fadeIn("fast"); }); That's the JavaScript that I'm using now. How could I have it (when the form submits) display the div #notice for 5 seconds, then fadeOut?

    I have multiple textboxes with set character limits that together make up a code. There is value in the boxes being separated for a variety of reasons. I want to be able to paste a complete code in the first textbox and have it automatically populate all the textboxes. Is there a way to do this in javascript or a jquery library for this case? Currently I'm using jQuery autotab on each textbox and I'd prefer to keep that functionality.
