  • Downsides to using FakeWeb compared to writing mocks for testing

    I never liked writing mocks and a while ago someone here recommended to use FakeWeb. I immediately fell completely in love with FakeWeb. However, I have to wonder if there is a downside to using FakeWeb. It seems like mocks are still much more common, so I wonder what I am missing that's wrong with using FakeWeb instead. Is there a certain kind of error you can't cover with Fakeweb or is it something about the TDD or BDD process?

    This is giving me a 500 internal server error. Any suggestions? I have tried various examples but I think I'm missing something...   • Magento customer webservice / api

    Hi guys, I need some sort of way to handle Magento's customer login, customer account creation and order checkout via some kind of webservice to be used for Flash, preferably XML. As far as I know the Magento API doesn't have these features. I found the Mammoth Webservices extension but it seems that the project is inactive judging from heir site. Any thoughts? Thanks!

    Hi, I would like to render specific HTML snippets for displaying banners, because each banner has a different nature (some images, some flash, etc). Every banner file is under app/public/banners/. I tried many ways, like: render :file => "/banners/somebanner.html" But it can't locate the file, because Rails looks under app/views. Any ideas ?   • Cleaning all inline events from HTML tags

    For HTML input, I want to neutralize all HTML elements that have inline js (onclick="..", onmouseout=".." etc). I am thinking, isn't it enough to encode the following chars? =,(,) So onclick="location.href='ggg.com'" will become onclick%3D"location.href%3D'ggg.com'" What am I missing here? Edit: I do need to accept active HTML (I can't escape it all or entities is it).

    When moving to Spring 2.5.x I found that it adds more stereotype annotations (on top of @Repository from 2.0): @Component, @Service and @Controller. How do you use them? Do you rely on implicit Spring support or you define custom stereotype specific functions/aspects/features? Or is it predominately for marking beans (compile time, conceptual, etc.)?

    OK, this feels like an idiot question, but I'm stuck - I don't know the first thing about AppleScript. I have a .scpt file and I want to double-click it and just have it run, but instead every time I click, it opens up the AppleScript Editor. This feels like it should just be an option on the file, but I'm missing something obvious. Please help me feel less dumb, thank you.

Is it possible to add mix both F# and C# files in that project (a library[.dll])?     We are trying to use sybase function power to do mathematical calculation for one of the DB columns. The hibernate is generating power function as pow(?, xyzo0_.AmtScale) whereas sybase supports power function as Syntax POWER( numeric-expression-1, numeric-expression-2 ) We have tried modifying the hibernate.dialect. Have tried org.hibernate.dialect.SybaseASE15Dialect org.hibernate.dialect.Sybase11Dialect org.hibernate.dialect.SybaseAnywhereDialect but all dialects generate the power function as pow(?, xyzo0_.AmtScale). Is this hibernate issue or are we missing something?

I have an general idea how to write this macro but I don't have enough knowledge about writing test macros for Autoconf. Algorithm: Run "uname --release" and store output Parse output and subtract Linux version number (MAJOR.MINOR.MICRO) Compare version I don't know how to run command, store output and parse it. Maybe such macro already exists and it's available (I haven't found any)?

  • Silverlight project fails to compile

    I have a Silverlight 3 project in VS2008. Today, for whatever reason, I get an error when compiling. Configuration system failed to initialize It reports the error on Line 1, Column 1 for every .xaml file in the project. I did a repair on VS2008, reinstalled all the Silverlight 3 bits (e.g. SDK, VS2008 tools and the Controls Toolkit), but the problem still persists. Am I missing something simple?

  • Make HTML content area fit to viewport height?

    I just made this demo extracting out what I'm trying to accomplish: Autosize Main Content Area I want the pink/yellow area to act according to these rules: Minimum height is the size of its content (which is variable) IF content size is smaller than viewport size Otherwise minimum height is such that it adjusts to fill the window. Checking out the source to that demo, what am I missing? I feel like this is a pretty easy case that shouldn't require javascript. Any ideas?
